    “Amazing experience!”

The location of the inn is excellent, just near Yasaka Shrine and within a friendly walking distance to Kiyomizu-dera via Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka. It is also within walking distance from Kawaramachi, Keihan Electric Railway, Hankyu Station, and Hanamikoji. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, and the inn features a beautiful landscape arrangement style, with yuzu fruit present everywhere, reflecting the inn's management philosophy. The meals are very delicious, there is plenty of hot water available, and the staff provides attentive and warm service; the rooms are clean and tidy. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would recommend it to my friends!

    “Great stay at Yuzuya!”

Our first stay at a ryokan. Staff at Yuzuya was terrific - they took time to explain some of the nuances that are unique to this type of hotel. Our room was clean and spacious. The futons are low and there are no western style sitting spaces in the room, so be prepared. If you have knee problems, this might be a challenge. We had kaiseki dinner and Japanese-style breakfast. Both were excellent!!! The kaiseki service was impressive. Timing was perfect and well coordinated for each course, including two tableside preparations. All of the food was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. I’ll note that we like lots of different kinds of food and have no dietary restrictions. Staff was also very responsive and helpful by email leading up to the stay. Pricing is fair. Not a bargain, but appropriate. Facilities are lovely, but the entrance has a staircase that could be difficult for those with mobility problems. Stairs in the obligatory slippers inside could be difficult, too. Highly recommend!

    “Value for money accommodation”

This is my first time at a ryokan. It's expensive, but the food is really delicious, the staff is friendly, and the room is nice. And the best part is that it's located in a lively area, which is great.
