I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel and I must say, I was extremely impressed with the level of hospitality and service provided by the hotel staffs. From the moment I stepped into the hotel, the staffs attended to me promptly and efficiently. Despite my early arrival, they checked me in without any hassle and even helped me store my luggage at the concierge while I explored the area. The hotel also provided the convenience of renting a motorcycle, which was a huge plus for me. When I returned to the hotel in the afternoon, I was delighted to find that my luggage had already been taken up to my room. Throughout my stay, the staffs were very friendly and helpful. They even gave me recommendations for places to visit in Koh Phangan. The room itself was exceptional - it was spacious, clean and well-maintained. The bathroom was huge and very functional, and the bed was very comfortable. I felt like I was staying in a forest with the beautiful natural surroundings. The hotel also provide ample parking space for both cars and motorcycles. One of the highlights of my stay was the breathtaking view from the infinity swimming pool on the top floor. I was able to enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the sea, mountains, and sunset - truly a sight to behold. The hotel is conveniently located just an 8-minute drive away from Thong Sala (Main Town), making it easily accessible. I would like to give a special shoutout to Oraporn and Raju for their exceptional hospitality during my stay. They went above and beyond to make sure I had a pleasant experience. Although I encountered a language barrier with one of the housekeeping staffs, he was quickly helped by another staff who was able to understand me. We stayed at Varivana Resort for two weeks. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, the architecture, nature around it, cleanliness, staff, room decoration and pool area. The room - If you're looking for a bit more luxurious experience it's the place. It isn't Thai style accommodation and is totally different from the bungalows. But it was exactly like in the picture and what was promised. The room was very clean, bed was really really comfortable, blinding curtains made the room dark like a night, shower water pressure and everything was great. Quality shower products also. Location - I read few reviews and people were disappointed about the location. I recommend to look at the map before you book an accommodation, not only this one but whatever one. Every booking website has an address and even a map. So yeah it wasn't some big surprise where the hotel was. It was exactly as quiet area as we hoped it would be. Located in the middle of the palm trees, birds and nature. Away from the parties and restaurants street. Transport - That being said, you should rent a scooter if you wan to wander around the island. Cause the fact that songthaews (taxis) are not driving by this road often wasn't an information you could know about before getting here. If you let the hotel order you a taxi it can be more expensive than the songtaew from the streets. You can rent a scooter from the hotel, same price as in the streets (deposit is money or passport, price 250 baht/day). Scooter was new and well maintained, got us over every mountain. Staff - Staff was also very very friendly, professional, spoke english better than in some other places and helped you whenever you needed. Guys from the restaurant and bar were very warm and welcoming. All the reception staff was also very helping and friendly! Overall, our stay at Varivana was really nice. The staff were super helpful and sweet, from picking us up at the pier to helping us rent a scooter and booking a car for our last day. Hanging out at their rooftop bar and restaurant, which also serves breakfast with a fantastic view, was a highlight. While the breakfast had some variety, it wasn't as extensive as what you'd find at a big five-star hotel chain, but the attentive staff made up for it. The room itself was cozy, with a comfortable bed, adjustable TV, and all the amenities you'd need. Plus, they stocked the fridge with complimentary drinks and provided flip flops for the beach. The only downside is they only have one elevator, which might be a hassle if your room is in a different building, and there are some stairs that aren't very accessible for people with disabilities or elderly guests. However, you can always request a room next to the elevator.
