"I was highly impressed by Auberge Hotel. This is a brand new hotel in its "soft" opening phase. Large rooms, very comfortable, spotlessly clean, everything is new. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, great value. Just be aware that you CAN'T catch a taxi to this hotel because Discovery Bay is a car-free zone. The only way to get there is by ferry from Central then bus from DB Pier, or train/bus from Hong Kong Airport, or hotel shuttle bus. You really need to have a plan in place to get to the hotel before you arrive in Hong Kong. This is my new number 1 hotel in Hong Kong. Don't fear the remote location, Disneyland is a short bus/train ride away (but allow up to an hour on the weekend because there is no Sunny Bay connection). Central is 10 minutes by bus to DB Pier, then 20 minutes by fast ferry. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. Simply outstanding and great value for money."

"My mother went on this trip with her sister to visit a relative living in Hong Kong. Since my mother's flight arrived early in Hong Kong, I requested earlier check in, although the hotel did reply that they can not promise that. However, my mother arrived in the hotel around 9 am and proceed to check in. A very helpful receptionist (His name is Mr John Leung) helped my mother to check into her room right away. By 10 am, my mother and her sister was able to rest for a while before going to a meeting with their relatives. Thank you to John Leung for your helpful assistant. My mom told me the room was good enough for them to rest and the location is very near to the MTR and a shopping mall. Would definitely recommend this hotel for next visit. Keep up the good service. "we took park island bus nr334 from the airport and arrived at the hotel at 11pm. the journey took around 25 minutes. the bus will stop at a roundabout in front of the resort entrance. use the door entrance (not the lift). go two levels down by escalators and you can see an exit door. you can see the beach on your left once you exit. walk straight until you pass security. continue walking for few metres and you can see another entrance to the resort. take the lift to level 3 and the reception counter will be on your right* our check on was fast. we quickly got into the room with 2 bunk beds. the room and the toilet were clean. the beds, pillows, comforters and bedsheets were comfortable for us. the kids really love the room! we chose this hotel as it was not far from the airport. from there you can take ferry for about 25 minutes journey to central hong kong. the ferry will stop at central pier no. 2 and from there you can take trains from mtr central station to explore the city. alternatively, you can take bus nr330 to tsing yi mtr station and take different mtr lines to central hong kong or you can take tung chung mtr line to citygate outlet for shopping or you can go to disney land via mtr disney land resort at sunny bay station. * you may find that it is difficult to find the hotel at first but you will get use to it! we did the breakfast provided is very basic but sufficient enough for you to start your day. our stay at this hotel was wonderful and we will definitely stay there again! " Stayed for 4 nights in Dec.Room was spacious & had a balcony with lovely views of the Marina.Check in was efficient & staff were excellent. Hotel run an hourly service to Hong Kong which takes 35 mins. 10 mins walk to the Gold coast piazza where there is a selection of shops including a supermarket and restaurants (incl McDonalds) overlooking the marina. From there you can get regular buses to Kowloon & Hong Kong. Bus 61M gets you to the local train station for quick access to all areas of Hong Kong. good points, lolcation altough 30 minutes from hong kong center is ideal. lovely views over the harbour. nice swimming pool. decent sized rooms, nice lobby area and 10 minutes walk to the gold coast piazza which is a selection of shops including a supermarket and a restaurants overlooking the sea. a taxi to the hotel will cost around 25 pounds for a 30 minute journey. if there are 2 of you this works out to be a good deal compared to the nearer an hour it will take on the shuttle bus. buffet breakfast very nice, mixture of western and eastern breakfast couldnt fault it. bad points. the restaurant on site for evening meals is overpriced. 15 pounds for a very plain pizza!!! you are much better to go to the piazza. the staff are efficient but are not as friendly as in other hotels I have visited in asia. overall a good experience but not one which would guarantee me staying in this hotel when I return to hong kong. "I was looking for home base in Hong Kong away from the city close to a ferry pier to be able explore. This hotel in Mui Wo was perfect. I could enjoy the big city yet come back to enjoy the tranquility of Silvermine beach at days end. Great Joel, breakfast, and staff. Ten minute walk to pier."

"The Silvermine Beach Hotel offered me the quietness and calmness which I could not find elsewhere in Hong Kong. It is located at the beach. I could see the sun rises and sets and the wind blowing at the beach. I hired a bike for a day and rode around the block which was relaxing and away from the crowded cities in Hong KOng. I had my dinner at the local primitive restaurant which gave me food with the good taste and value for money. It was quite a unique experience in Hong Kong as totally different from living the busy cities with so many people around you."

"Even though it was cloudy and wet we had a fantastic stay. The hotel/ just lacked the personal touch of maybe greeting the guest or perhaps lifting the stay with a complimentary breakfast. Rates are not ideal for a 3-star hotel. However, for the first time with a dog - it was pleasant. I'd go once a year. Staff was very helpful and polite. Rooms are decent."

"Pros: beachfront (thou not allowed to swim due to covid 19), polite staffs, beachfront view breakfast, clean rooms. Cons: faeces odour coming from nowhere in the bathroom, the drain we suspected, absolutely revolting, gotta hold breathe whenever I go in. Would be really really helpful if there some more hooks installed on the wall in the bedroom so one can hang bags, clothes etc. Quite a walk from the main street of restaurants and shops, 20 to 25 mins up and down hill a bit."

"Me and my wife stayed at Tai O Heritage Hotel for 1 night for her birthday celebration. I am impressed with the impeccable services offered by the hotel especially from the Food & Beverage Team at Tai O lookout. Though the team is small, the service staff ensures that all needs of their guests are taken care of. Very conscientious. They also helped to take good photos of me and my wife. For the experience, the hotel is located by the sea. The morning and night breeze especially during summer is one which you would appreciate. Loving the nature and you can also see stars on a clear night. We will be back again for sure."
