"I ended up reaching this hotel when I was super sick and after a couple of hours of checking in the hotel I realised I needed medical attention. Felt a little unsure about finding the right doc in new country but our worries were unwarranted as soon as we told the hotel staff about it. Not only did they arrange transportation but also organized priority medical service at a very busy OPD and to add the hotels HR manager came along with us taking all worries away. Thankfully I recovered overnight and next morning went for breakfast and their entire staff came and checked with me if I was comfortable. I am amazed by service level and genuine concern every staff displayed. Not just the hotel staff. The hotel itself is very beautiful. If you are in Nuwara Eliya do consider this brand new hotel with lovely interiors and unmatched service. Heartfelt thank you to staff of Galway Heights"

"Treat yourself to a nice hotel in Nuwara Eliya because there's nothing in town and not really any place to go out. Best place to stay is here or at the Grand Hotel. However, in this hotel there is a set menu for dinner whereas in the Grand Hotel there is a restaurant and a coffee shop with good food. Both hotels have bars and billiard tables. In fact the Grand Hotel has three. The rooms here are quite nice, like staying in an old house in England. The only problem is that I had a view of a brick wall and when I asked to change rooms they took me to the other older wing where there were only two single beds in each room so I ended up stuck with the wall, not very nice since the only reason to come to Nuwara Eliya and Ella is to enjoy the view. The dinner menu wasn't anything special, breakfast was alright but forget about getting a decent cup of tea. It was nice to have a radiator in the room as I was able to dry my still damp washing and a nice touch was to find a hot water bottle in bed. The bar had a happy hour with a 25% discount and that was nice. Had to ask the train times to Ella several times before the receptionist called the station. I was surprised that they didn't have a list of the train times available since nearly everyone takes the train from here to Ella."

"Because in Nuwara Eliya everything is a little more expansive, we chose our accommodation a little outside (5min with Tuktuk). And Luxe Wilderness was just perfect. The villa is furnished like a british country house and is absolutely beautiful. You have a kitchen equipped with everything you might need. And if you don’t want to cook or leave the house: the owner offered to order some food for us. The bedroom in the upper floor consists of two large beds and has a balcony with a really great view. And yes, one of the pictures shows the actual bathtube in the bathroom. But you have a shower and two basins as well. Everything is arranged just beautifully. Breakfast was also great, we had the Sri Lankan style breakfast, but you can also choose an english breakfast. The owner arranged everything for us, Tuktuks to the city centre (250 rupies) or a tour to a tea plantation. He was just nice. We definitely recommend you Luxe Wilderness for a restful and wonderful stay in Nuwara Eliya."

"I was here for my birthday this year and I truly, truly loved it. The place is beautiful, it is well placed so you can get to the town in minutes, and the staff are so friendly they feel like family. Given that there was a surprise element to my birthday trip, a lot had to be done without my knowledge and the staff went out of their way to get everything done from hiding flowers and cake to setting up tables out on the balcony and making the room pretty. We even had a "butler" for the day (Arul) who was sweet and unobtrusive in all his service. There were four staff members (who I really wish I had got the names of!) that we came into contact with and all four were fabulous. One of the best stays ever and would always want to revisit. No complaints whatsoever, only high praise!"

"This is located few kilometres away from Nuwara Eliya town centre but very easy to get in (Don't complain, take a bus to Mahagasthota and a taxi. It costs less than two dollars). The staff is nice and welcoming. But the most important thing was the room. This is a very large clean room. Definitely worth twice the money I paid. The free breakfast was good enough. It is not a buffet breakfast, but if you need more, they will happily give you as much as you need. Don't go to fancy and expensive hotels in Nuwara Eliya if you want to stay few nights. Grand Camellia worth more than what you pay. I'll definitely go there again."

"We travelled to the Tea Factory Hotel from Kandy getting higher in altitude as we went. The mists rolled in and eventually we turned down a narrow bumpy road that led through some tea plantations. The very imposing Tea Factory Hotel loomed suddenly out of the fog. On arrival, we were welcomed with a warm towel and cup of sweet tea. Some of the machinery from the old tea factory days remains and the reception area is very tastefully furnished. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable with tea supplied from the hotels own miniture tea factory. The bathroom was functional but the bath/shower area furnishing was slightly dated. Evening meal in the form of a buffet and the bar area was well thought out with a range of tasty food. Reception staff were faultless throughout our short stay. If you are staying in the area specifically to visit World's End in Horton Plains, the van to take you there leaves from the Grand Hotel in Nuwara Eliya (1 hour's drive from the Tea Factory Hotel) so it would make more sense to stay at/near that hotel. However, if you fancy staying in an unusual hotel with spa, gym, good food and outstanding staff service then I cannot recommend the Tea Factory Hotel highly enough. (The road to the hotel will certainly give your vehicle's suspension a thorough testing!)"

"The hotel is located in an isolated in a secured resident holiday village on hilltop, with quite and beautiful neighborhood. Only 4 room in the cottage, without being disturbed by large size of tourist groups. The room is decorated in British style, deserve to say“home sweet home". The room service is also beyond expectation, with warm welcome tea, thoughtful consideration to the visiting plan, and well served/delicious dinner. I was leaving early in the morning, the staff specially prepared tasty take-away breakfast set, which is impressive. All in all, highly recommended for everyone."
