This hotel's great location near Odongdo Island and Yeosu Cable Car has been appreciated by multiple guests. You can also enjoy a modern, spacious room with an ocean view. We stayed one night to visit Yeonsu before flying to Jeju island in the morning. The staff was helpful to make the most of our day, with maps and suggested parks and restaurants marked out. Hotel is located at start of the Odongdo breakwater path to the Odongdo Island Park. Not to be missed - lovely stroll with scenic outlooks. Hotel room was meticulously clean, bed was firm but comfortable and staff service was excellent.

After a long time, our whole family visited Yeosu, which was, as always, a resonant city. The Sonokam, where we stayed for a day during our trip, was conveniently located near tourist attractions. Even though we arrived a bit early due to our schedule, they allowed us to check in early, so a large group could stay comfortably. The cleanliness of the room and bedding was impressive. Ending the day with a highball in the lounge to relieve fatigue was delightful, and watching the sunrise from our room with a view of Yeosu was the highlight of this trip at Sonokam. By the way, even though our family, who knows nothing about alcohol, took several minutes to choose a highball, the staff in the lounge were friendly, explaining things while patiently waiting for us, for which we are very grateful. Sonokam gave us many precious memories... Let's definitely see each other again next time~~♡

“Last Minute Booking”
My family is traveling around the peninsula for a first time road trip. It was a last minute booking at Sono Calm. We were excited and went with the themed rooms which was a cute idea. Upon arrival, check in was a breeze, less than 2 minutes. Exhausted from our drive, we settled into our respective themed rooms: Arabian and Tatami (Japanese), both ocean view. We arrived quite late and it was already dark. We could see scattered boats in the waters with dim lights. It was calming. We were a bit disappointed with the lack of attention to detail. We understand that the hotel was previously the MVL but it was a bit unexpected to see a lot of the labels of things in the room still with the MVL name. It felt like the rooms did not make the list of updated rooms. Atmosphere wise it felt like a second hand room, perhaps why we got such a great deal for the night. My father and mother stayed in the Arabian room, which was nice and comfortable. A massive bed took up the whole room which my father gladly snoozed away on. My sister and I were in the tatami themed room. It was overall a great room but the minor details were very noticeable. First, the wooden bath is why we booked this room. However, it appeared the bath and spots of water damage, giving an unappealing blackened, greened colour in some areas. It was not so inviting. Nonetheless, I did take a bath and it took about 30 minutes to fill the bath about half way. The tatami mats were comfortable, the pillows were too soft for my liking and easily flattened, rendering less of a support for their head. There were minor dents, scuff marks, and occasional damages to the rooms which made the room feel less luxurious. The Aveda bath amenities were expired from 2022 but it was still usable. Another lack of attention to detail. What makes up for the lack of attention to detail is the breathtaking sight of the morning sun as it graced the ocean. It was a sight worth the price paid.
