The telephone in the room dies not work we cannot even call the reception n have to go down personally to tell them that the shower is lukewarm n we can easily catch cold. And was told that there are fixing the boiler n if we switch on the shower for 15 mins it will get hotter. Nothing changes after half an hour. There’s no tissue, no amenities n the receptionist told me it’s a 3 star hotel. What’s ridiculous is that the hotel is not taking any action n we are here for 3 nights n this is our 1st how can we survive?
This was a great location for me and my sister. We only had one night but it was a great stay. Check-in was easy and it was walking distance to everything we were seeing. The room had built in speakers with Bluetooth connection which was a fun addition. Plenty of space with a closet and desk. There’s a nice bar connected to it, and the noise wasn’t bad like you’d expect. Overall a cute and convenient stay, I’d go back.

We have been touring with our adult children. The room was well set out with space for four , although one bed was a bunk bed. The bathroom was great. The breakfast was fantastic with cooked options and tasty pastries. The slightly unusual thing was walking through the bar to get to our room. However once in, the room was well insulated and quiet. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The location was handy to the Royal Mile and from there on into town. It was also close to the railway station. We had a great time here.

This was a nice quirky little hotel in the old town of Edinburgh. The room itself was decently sized but had low ceilings. Beds were comfortable enough for our short stay. Good shower. We loved that it had a video game table and consoles in the room even though we didn’t get to use them it was a cool extra feature. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only reason why anything less than 5 stars is the location - it is at the bottom of the giant hills to the main street so a seven minute walk is quite a work out if you’re not used to it! It’s also a bit further from the station/ bus stops for public transport, but if you’re on a budget thats just part of what you deal with to save money.

It’s along the street where there are hostels so it gets a bit noisy and rowdy during weekends. The hotel is next to pub which is not too ideal for resting after a long flight. Room is basic and you can get better rooms for same price in the new town

This place was clean and well situated. However, there's constant partying in the adjacent rooms. You've been warned.

I stayed there for 2 nights and both nights the music kept me awake till 1am. The phone didn't work. The safe jammed on the second day and the staff could care less about helping me

Edinburgh is an expensive city to stay in. Stay Central is well located in old Town and the room is comfortable and reasonably affordable. Other than that, nothing special

Very near to Old Town area. Breakfast spread is good. Staffs are helpful and friendly. Will recommend.

We booked a room for 6 and found the room spacious. With great privacy and at a very quiet part of the property. We liked it for our 2-night stay.

Room was comfortable and the hotel is near to the Old Town, but it is located on a street that is not as nice, and the bars and clubs nearby can be noisy and attracts a different crowd. Be sure it is for you before booking.

Overall the accommodation was good with friendly and helpful reception staff. Except to access to the quad room, there are few flight of staircases. Be prepared to carry your luggages up n down during checking in and out. My friends stayed in double room was fine and no staircase.

True as described location is at the center, room is very clean and we were very comfortable, staff is very helpful though we did not enjoy our breakfast that much, may be we are not used to English breakfast but overall I am satisfied with our stay.

Room was modern and equipped with a smart tv and built in speakers even in the shower. Location is very close to tourist attractions.

The hotel is really at the old town but it was located at the lower road . The street is quite strange here. There are upper and lower road in certain area . And the hotel was located at the lower street. Out from the hotel, go across the road there is a small path leads to the old town . Only 2 minutes climbing up almost 45 degree slope . I don't mind the climbing daily but I wonder for elderly. The staff mostly are young , they are helpful. Except there is a black lady who is unapproachable and she don't smile to you .

Best location, you can go everywhere on foot within 15 mins. spacious room with everything you need , just a bit dusty for the room

A distance from the train station but located right next to High Street. It was easy to navigate around from there. The room was clean and nice for 2. It also came with a huge television and a full length mirror behind the door. Only small issue (during winter) was that the cupboard had many hangers but it could only fit 2 thick jackets.

Very noisy, kot from late night revellers ( to be expected) but from generator, sounding like a jet, underneath window. Kept me awake all night. Not to clean around the window frame, could do with upgrading windows.

This hotel has a club next door, my room overlooked it but it wasn’t very loud but was a Sunday. Hotel very clean with an atmosphere that was friendly. Bed comfy. Street was very grimy but near most stuff. But up hill from the airport transport

The location is perfect just a block away from Royal Mile and a few mins walk from Edinburgh Castle. The hotel was super clean and room was cozy. Note aside: big Kudos and thanks to Molly!. I lost my phone in the river at Dean Village and she genly lent me her phone to communicate with my family in my home country, and she even gave me her laptop to help me find a new phone! So Molly if you read this. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!

Though is new old town but if you have luggage to drag and taking the airport bus, needed to drag thru cobblestone path and can be quite challenging to push to the hotel. If just hand carry bags I would recommend this and don’t expect any views cos we were facing dump centre and there is a pub below so can be very noisy if you are a light sleeper. After party hours a lot of people at the dump area talking and laughing till 3am

Probably one of the best hotels I've stayed in! Very spacious room with a lot more features and amenities than other hotels which cost more! Large 4K TV, SMEG fridge and even an in-room speaker system which links to your phone with Bluetooth! Games console. sky TV. Very helpful and friendly staff, bar literally next door open till late and about 5 minutes walk from the centre of Edinburgh. Will definitely stay here again!

Oh, Edinburgh. You challenged me. Stay Central is on a low street, with all public transport on the high streets nearby, and with a very heavy suitcase it was incredibly unfortunate. Some staff were amazing and some were less so. The room itself was lovely, and I was grateful for the elevator. I wouldn’t stay again purely for high street/low street trickiness, but I did sleep well on the weeknight I was there.

Great hotel for the price. Centrally located (hence the name) and very modern and clean inside. Breakfast was also nice. Might be noisy next to three sisters but we were out until late so this was not an issue for us.

Front reception staff were a bit lazy looking and website said 1400 check in but was told when I arrived that it was 1500, a bit annoying.

We didn't realise this hotel is connected to a very popular and buzzing bar/club but we were pleasantly surprised at how quiet our room was regardless! It is modern and clean with lovely warm rain showers and a daily chocolate :) There is a nice lobby breakfast/cafe area, we didn't get the breakfast but coffees were very reasonably priced. Located at the bottom of cowgate, a very short walk up to the royal mile. Would recommend

Great location but the bar next door was too noisy. It went on until 3am every night. The room should be soundproofed to some extent, at least. Other than that, it was a great stay and it was in a prime location.

“Tattoo, Festivals & Fringe”
Good spot for easy access to entertainment & sightseeing. Short walk to the castle. Our room (#103) faced an alleyway where 3 AM bar trash was very noisily handled. Recommend earplugs. Mentioned noise to Staff and it was significantly reduced. Overall, a pleasant stay.
