“Hotel with No. 1 location in Tsuen Wan”
Silka Hotel is best known for its convenience to access public transport, especially the MTR. For shoppers and foodies there are numerous choices for them as the nearby eateries and shopping malls are all connected with footbridges over busy roads, so that you could go anywhere with ease. The hotel offered a quiet, clean environment to stay with air purifier/humidifier both in room and floor area and lift lobby. Staff are courteous with phone calls caring about the replenishment of supplies. The only concern is on the shower facility and plumbing repair. The shower curtain is too short to contain water spillage and the basin hose leaks.

“Silka Far East Hotel”
The experience was quite pleasant. The staffs are attentive and friendly. The cleanliness of the rooms was impressive, however, the toiletries can be improved. Inclusion of lotion, shaving kit, etc are recommended. The location is convenient for exploring and travelling. There are also available buses that would take you directly to the airport. Overall, it offered decent value and walkability making it a good place to stay.

“It wasn't bad, but I don't know if I'll visit again.”
If you want to travel alone and use a hotel, it's not a bad value for money. It would be good to take advantage of the times when the prices are low. I didn't use it at a very cheap rate, so I felt it was a bit disappointing to spend over ten for one night. The front desk is open even in the early morning, so it was fine to arrive on a red-eye flight. The front desk staff were very kind, and they assigned me to a quiet room, which I appreciated. The room didn't have any unusual smells, and the bed was average. It felt like the mattress was a bit thin..? There was a small air purifier running continuously, but the ventilation felt a bit lacking. The window didn't open at all. The room was very dark, and at night it was truly dark, but in the morning, when I pulled back the curtains, light came in well, so that was nice. The blanket was on the thinner side, and since the air conditioning was constantly on, it was cold in November. At night, I turned off the air conditioning and wore two layers of sleepwear and requested a thick blanket from the front desk. What I received felt more like a go-stop mat than a blanket? It was more like a comforter, and I just laid it on the bed. It was fine for warmth. The shower room was somewhat acceptable, but it definitely felt old, and the space with the shower curtain was cramped for an adult standing in it. I didn't like that my arms kept touching the curtain when I was washing my hair. The sink and shower both provided hot water immediately, which was great. The cleaning was done daily, and the towels were changed every day, which I appreciated. The area around the hotel is lively, with plenty of bakeries, restaurants, and cafes, so it feels safe and nice. Many people are out late at night as well.

Hotel located at local community area. Small room but clean. Good staff and WiFi. Super convenient for food. Easy access to shopping mall, local foods, convenience shops etc Bus A31 (hkd19.8) 30 mins from HKIA alight front of hotel. To HKIA, cross over overhead bridge to other side. Credit card accepted by bus. Tsuen Wan MTR station, just walk through overhead bridge. Safe area as night time still many people around.
