Nice and affordable place to stay. Value for money
Both times I have stayed for a week each. I love the Japanese facilities . Fwcilieis have been upgraded since my last stay, making it even better. Location wise is at Gion. Perfect. I even managed to do my evening runs from hotel to the river and ran along the river banks My go to place to stay in Kyoto.
Definitely I will return to this place super clean and organized
This place is located in Gion, where you can go to the market just next to the main door, also the fee was good. My problem with the capsule hotel is that you should take the shower naked with other guests, however, there are 2 closed baths you can take the shower in. Over all, I like the idea of the capsule hotel.
The spa is out of this world experience with night sky and views of surrounding Kyoto from the rooftop spa & Onsen. Enjoyed my stay. Must say they should not clean it too early so that late check outs can continue to enjoy until noon checkouts. Otherwise it’s a perfect stay for solo male travelers.
3rd time to use this accommodation. It would be even better if the outside bath open during midnight and there would be steps which connect between capsule and restaurant directly without using elevator.
If you want a capsule hotel with spa and free breakfast buffet and spend lots of time with relaxing areas, this is it. Thats also why it is more expensive.

Honestly, the amount of facilities you get for such a low price is almost unbelievable. Just note that this is Japan, which means they follow Japanese customs, such as no tattoos in the Onsen.
Highly recommended for a Solo Traveler.

The location of the hotel is near in many facilities and stations. The staffs are kind. This is my first time to book at capsule hotel 4/5 is my rating. The breakfast also is good and the sauna area.

My first capsule hotel experience in Japan. And I am glad I chose this hotel. Capsule room is clean and nice. The whole facilities is awesome with open air bath too. The free breakfast - omg - it’s buffet style - it’s even better than hotel breakfast I had in a more expensive hotel in Kawaguchiko . I find that I get much value out of this 8 night stay at the capsule hotel. It’s because of this awesome experience staying at this capsule hotel , now it opens up a new staying experience for me in japan. I just love it. And I would definitely come back and stay here again. I love Kyoto !

Had a great stay and very comfortable. Amenities were amazing with access to spa, massage, lounge and restaurant. Right on the main street close to all the action.

Buffet was generous, pleasant and very helpful staff, modern toilet, great onsen. Place where japanese male worker come to sleep, bath, massage, relax, onsen and dine you get a few stares if you are a foreigner but hey just come and enjoy a Japanese experience. Location is great near Metro and Gion area where most beautiful and famous temples are located. You can just enjoy walking around this areas. Lots of shops, convenience stores and noodle shop really affordable. I would stay here again if I am on a budget.
It was a cold night after work and I appreciated the sauna and hot tub. The hot tub on the roof has a great view. Breakfast was solid. Take a look at their Instagram page for more pictures.

A very nice hotel with sauna at the district. Affordable price Shower room and sauna available Sanitary is available and comprehensive You have to obey the some hotel rules which cause little inconvenience.

i like the sky open air bath and public bath, which is 24/7 unless cleaning time. Sadly there is no instruction of some of the facilities, overall excellent.
The bed was comfortable and the capsule was well ventilated it also had a radio and TV. I chose an upper capsule which has steps to the side to access the capsule if you're not that agile I would recommend a lower capsule. There is a sauna and baths on the upper floor free of charge there is also a restaurant and massage room accessed from the upper floor the restaurant and massage room is pay as you go. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend it to everyone who wants to try something different to Western ways.
I booked a upper capsule for one night. The capsule is big enough for me to sit up straight. All the guest shall keep quiet in the capsule cause it is not sound-insulated. There is public bath area, rest area and massage area. There is free comic book in the rest area and free breakfast buffet in the morning. The staff is helpful and can communicate with simple English. One of the cons is that the locker is a bit narrow.
Near the center of many food and famous restaurant. Spa is good. It better to provide a charger cable in the cabin. Some cabin is old and the Curtain holder is broken. Breakfast is good and worth to pay include. Beware of some other visitor which sleep and very noisy snoring. Maybe you can ask politely when check in if snoring or not. Which snoring put in snoring cabin. Just a bad idea for you :(

The bath area is a bit old. Other than that, I have nothing to complain. It includes buffet breakfast with variety foods. Staff are very friendly and polite. And it locates on the Shijo. Nice shopping areas around.
Disgusting capsule hotel. Very run down, especially for Japan standards. Also, they make you check out every day off your visit and re-check in for the next day! So you have to remove all of your things and they even want to charge you for checking out late during a visit!!!

The staffs there are very friendly, polite and helpful. Location wise is very convenient. 5mins walk to train station. Near to Yasaka Shrine. Near to family mart. Near to shopping mall. They will clean their place from 12pm - 3pm which you prefer not to be there.
Located in the city central. Easy for shopping & eating. Public bath room for inside or outside is so good. Very good buffet breakfast. Clean and nice staff.
If you dont mind lady see you naked at room changing area. If you ok theres cctv in the shower area where ur naked part be recorded. Then can consider this. This area is just good at the shopping street. Theres locker. But for 20inch baggage must let them keep. Must wear their pyjamas at all time except breakfast time. The breakfast is ok. 1type of meat, 1 fish, few veggies, curry rice, miso soup, juices, tofu. Mostly same daily. Except for meat type or fish type. Theres no public area where u can use ur laptop. To have a seat with table U need to go to the cafe(which u need to order foods). The general area are sofas with tv. No space if you want to use ur laptop. To access to public area and cafe, You need to use stairs. Very inconvenient. This is another cons. Room is ok. Quite advanced.
What I love about this capsule hostel cum sauna is the facilities and also their breakfast! Its located in the heart of Gion.. where you can walk to see the lovely Kyoto. Its very very clean. Try the sauna (many types of bath) or just relax at the TV room. The breakfast is served stating 6 am and its really really delicious! I love the buffet breakfast. Capsule bed is really amazing. And the staff, is really helpful esp the lady (I cant recall the name). Definitely will comeback. Highly recommended!

Nice hotel to stay and rest
all the public areas were very clean. Sauna, public spa, lockers area, doorway, capsules, and etc were very tidy not dusty. But I saw the front staff didn't clean used slippers, and just put back to cleaned slippers shelf. I felt disgusting. And they didn't allow outside food at the dining area and massage chair, it was not reasonable. aboves.
This place was a great value, the capsule itself was very cozy, everyone follows the rules and keeps quiet. It came with free breakfast and the relaxation room was chill. I was slightly uncomfortable with having to wear special spa clothes 24/7 and going through the top floor of the spa was a lot bigger and wide open compared to an onsen if you understand what I mean! Besides that the value is great, and its directly on gion street right in the main area!
Truly surprised at how much was on offer for a capsule which only cost a similar price to a hostel. Free sauna, onsen, all the grooming items you'd need, free bottle of water in the capsule as well as ear plugs. Staff were incredibly helpful and allowed me to leave my oversized bag there during the day until I could check in to the next location. Free breakfast too, with jam and toast! Had a few looks from some of the businessmen there, probably don't expect foreigners to use it but I don't really have a bad word to say about the place. Would happily use again.
My stay at Hotel Rumor Plaza was indisputably the farthest my dollar has gone over my trip. I knew they had an open-air bath, of course, but I didn't realize the spa facilities were two floors and included both hot and cold water baths, one of which is a mineral bath and two saunas. By luck, I wondered into the bottom floor sauna at one of the three times a day an employee pours eucalyptus(?)-infused water onto the coals and creates an intensely fragrant and intensely hot wave of steam that makes for a sensation that just about put me on my back! Another amenity offered by the hotel that I was unaware of when booking was that it includes a breakfast buffet. For being complimentary, the buffet offered an decent array of Japanese-style foods. As for the room, I had no complaints! I also thought the semicircular headspace was an improvement from the standard rectangular bed shape. Also, at 12pm, this is the latest check-out time of all the hotels I've stayed!
This is my first time staying in a sauna and capsule. I have been there for two nights. Every night after daytime travel sauna really help me relax.

Stayed there as a solo traveller and would have no complaints. Spa facilities superb, breakfast decent and enjoyed my capsule. Highly recommended
