Trincomalee District hotels & accommodations

Spent 1 night in this top hotel in trincomalee, it was certainly well worth the money , although the room could have been in any top hotel in any where in the world, but it was clean and conforable, the staff were very friendly and helpful We had dinner in the hotel which was buffet style and was excellent .

We stayed at anilana for two nights, and so far this is one of the best stays we have ever had. The staff is amazing, Lasantha who is in the front office and Kajan in the restaurant was exceptional. Their food is just out of this world . I think it’s the best place in Trincomalee if anyone is going that way.

We were staying in this hotel for 5 nights at the end of trip around Sri Lanka. We decided that we rather choose 5 stars hotel in Trincomalee instead of going for the same price on Maldives in hotel 3 stars. Everything was excellent. Rooms are big, clean, staff is cleaning the room 3 times in day. Food was delicious and very nice prepared. Especially breakfast - a...

Nice hotel located at the beach of Trincomalee with a nice pool and an aisle, which connects the hotel directly to the beach. The room was spacious and well-equipped (TV, fridge, ceiling fan, water boiler with coffee and tea, AC). At the breakfast you can coose from a good variety of western and sri-lankan stlye food, also eggs and omeletes are freshly prepared. The ho...

Although Trinco is a bit eh and it rained a lot of our stay, this hotel really made up for it. The hotel was kind enough to upgrade us to the Junior Suite for a cheap rate - if they offer it to you you have to take it! The junior suite is AMAZING. We had a large, modern, luxury room with a private jacuzzi bathtub. The room was really nice and spacious, bed was comfort...

Spanking new apartments. Clean and well maintained. The staffs are really welcoming. The location is awesome, right on the beach. And the beach is totally unspoilt, never crowded, clear water, not too deep, very good for swim. The pigeon island is a stone throw away. All in all amazing place for relaxing holiday.

We treated ourselves to 3 nights with an upgrade to poolside at the park which was well worth it. The only downside is that the menu was a little limited for european tastes. The young staff are keen to learn English so please be patient. The tuk tuk transfer to the sister hotel on the beach is an added bonus. The owner very kindly took us back to the park in his car r...

Really nice hotel for pleasant stay. Owner is friendly and has lots of info about surrounding areas and short cuts. Staff helpful and relaxed, all working hard to make sure smooth running. Pool great and we enjoyed watching the various wildlife swoop for their prey! Beach is a short walk. Nice quiet area, definitely recommended, thanks!

My host, Mr Joseph is one of the most dedicated in the business. From his (well-educated / excellent English) friendliness to his absolute concern for my well-being he was the key to my enjoyment of Trincomalee. How about a host who actually goes to the bus station to sit/occupy a bus seat while ringing a tuk-tuk to collect me from Trobiko so that he could be sure Ihad...

This was pretty basic. Clean and helpful staff. Good breakfast. The room was small for two adults and two kids (7, 11). Webhad two double beds and not much room for our luggage. Some families booked two rooms. This is a great place if you just need a clean place with hood service.

The room was a separate wooden bungalow with private bathroom. I liked the setup a lot. Also a private seating area overlooking the spaceous garden. Just gets very hot during the day inside the room but hey, just go to the beach. Very friendly owners who also provide breakfast at a reasonable price.

Alhough the staff need a little bit more experience they were polite and friendly. All other fascilities like Pigeon island and *hotels with pool and Restaurants are wthin walking distances. Good place for families with kids too. We would definitely come back!

This place is a little outside (7kms, 350-400LKR tuktuk fare) away from Trincomalee town but is nice and quiet and perfect to relax after a trip to town or Upaveli/Nilaveli. It's run by a very caring family who make sure you're comfortable. Rooms have air conditioning. Hotel located between Upuveli and Trincomalee, outside downtown. The garden was clean and quiet. Good AC and fan, good Wi-Fi in the room, large bathroom. Room a little noisy. The shower isn't convenient and not so clean, but the WC and sink are good. The only problem that we found was the shower. The staff is truly helpful, concerned and help you solve your problems an...

I stayed overnight at this hotel alone. The staffs are very kind and helped me. It is easy to go Nilavel beach from this hotel. They can arrange the program according to what visitors want in Trincomalee. I want to stay at this hotel again when I come Trincomalee again! Thank you all of the staffs, and especially the owner!

We booked and paid ahead of time through Agoda, we arrived late and the owner wasn't happy with us because he "could have given the room to someone else", even though there wasn't anyone else staying there!! Not the best way to start - we'd already paid for the room!! Breakfast was included and on the first morning it was pretty good. The kothu made up for the cold toa...
Cheap places to stay in Trincomalee District

I spent eight days at the residence after booking just one night. Lisa and Rwan are fantastic hosts, and wonderful people. I didn't want to leave. It was just the place I was looking for to relax, after having spent a noisy/busy couple of weeks travelling the west coast. The people in trincomalee and Nilavelli are much friendlier than the people in the south too. I wil...

I visited Trincomaleeduring the low season and it was quite empty with rough seas. The hostel is actually a diving scool in high season and converts to a hostel in the low season. It was eery and wonderful staying there virtually alone as the single staff person leaves for the night. It is very clean with plenty of cool.shower water, electricity, and wifi.

A little house on a beautiful beach with a Nice balcony in front of it. The room was simple and could have been cleaner. We had good breakfasts for a normal price 300-400 rupees. You can choose for western and sri lankan and they will bring it to your balcony. The toilet was loose from the ground so you had to be carefull. We had our laundry done for 50 rupees each. I...

We had a nice stay, the food is somewhat expensive for the star of hotel, friendly staff though only Manager spoke English, it was the hot season with a westerly wind blowing so plenty of cool showers the water coming from underground well as the fan rooms struggle to keep it cool. We did a nice tour of Trincomalee with a local tuk-tuk driver for 3hours for 1100rps, th...

We really appreciated our stay at Pleasant Park. Rooms are comfortable and clean. The long veranda was a nice spot to chill. But what truly makes it a unique and lovely place is the owner Dheepan and his friend and helper, Ushantan. They are the most welcoming and kind people. It was a great pleasure to spend time with them, chat and get to know them a little better.

Our stay at Silver Beach hotel was fine, and when we had an issue arising wherein we needed to leave a day early, the managers were extremely accommodating of our schedules and our departure times. The one sore spot was when the owner was around, and treated us poorly. Thankfully, he wasn't there the whole time. The rest of the staff were great! Too bad about the owner...
