Where to stay in Loei Province
Loei Province hotels & accommodations

Rooms are clean, functional, and offers one of the best views of the Mekong river. The common area is cozy and feels like home - perfect for chilling, reading a book, or hanging out with others. Location is also perfect, right smack in the middle of the Chiang Khan walking street and also next to the pathway by the beautiful river.

We had a great time at Chiangkhan River Mountain Resort. We are family with young kid. Even though we stayed only one night at this hotel, everything was impressive. To start with, we got free upgraded to the bigger room with more beautiful view of the river. The hotel staff was very nice, helpful and polite. That was one of the best points of the hotel. The room itse...

This hotel is comfortable & traditional like home, design to oldie Thai house & classic. Locate on main road of Chiangkhan. In the morning you'll meet the best feeling from many things ex. weather , culture , food. You can ride around city by bike. I think you will like this hotel & want to come again!

On arrival I had a little problem with my booking due to my own fault getting my dates confused ! The staff at the hotel were very helpful, they were extremely welcoming, lovely people. Our stay was great, breakfast was good with a choice of fresh fruits, fried eggs, omelettes, breads and porridge. The beds were very comfy, rooms had beautiful river views, I Iook forwa...

Phuphanam Resort is nestled amongst the gently rolling hills of the Phu Rua district in Thailand's northern province of Loei. It is about an hours drive from the Loei airport. There are about 75 rooms between the three low-rise buildings - the original stone and wooden structure and two later modern additions. The resort is situated on an expansive forested property, ...

This is my second time visit for Chiangkan within 2 months since I travelled for business in Loei, the hotel was nice, staff were friendly, the restaurant which provided breakfast was very delicious. The room was smaller than I thought (around 3x3 metres including bathroom), I would call this a hostel, not a hotel, 2 people seems to be too much and I feel a little bit...

We stayed in this hostel on the second night of our trip in Chiangkhan. The location is great. We can see Mekong river clearly from our room. There are restaurants nearby so finding food is not an issue. Plus, the owner is also very kind. She let us checkout late due to our late flight in the afternoon. Comparing with other hotels we stayed, we like this one most. High...

Everything was great; the location next to the river which you'll get up and face the foggy all around, give alms to monks, various food along the road, old style night market, the cool weather, precious time with the special ones. Fortunately that the receptionist named "Uan" gave me the room that was unexpected. Because I talked earlier on the phone with a man which ...

It was great they have no noice wonderfoll garden nice color on the building breakfast was small but very good it was inaff not lång way to the city and not lång way to a leg with market great market and everything in loei is sheep and good kvalite We want to go back to this Hotel and this aria.

Had the deluxe mountain view and it was just stunning! Beautiful to see the moon and sun rise. Would go back again. The cleanliness isn't the best, dust on furniture and room, shower had mold. But not an issue with the views that were available. The food was good and the staff was friendly and its located about 10-15 minutes from downtown.

As with most hotels on the river there, the rooms are very small. there is no place to hang clothes and no shelf space for personal items. Charging phones is difficult but not impossible. This room was a loft which helped. This pertains to almost all hotels on this strip. On the good side, if you love wood, this is a great place. The staff is very friendly and he...

The guesthouse is towards the end of the walking street and backs on to the river. We had the ground floor room with french doors and a little seating area with a view over the river. We were able to sit out there once our baby had gone to bed. The staff was very helpful as I had booked for the wrong night and turned up a day early! They allowed us to take the room for...

Although this hotel was relatively expensive compared with other hotels in Chiang Khan I wanted to stay somewhere not wooden because we were travelling with our 3 month old baby & I didn't want everybody being woken up in the middle of the night by him! The hotel is very clean, the room is very basic but adequate. We had breakfast & it's the first time I've ever enjoye...

I actually travelled with a friend and we found the staff (esp. El, Ying & Den) very nice, helpful & caring for their guests. The bed is so comfortable. The restaurant is not open for dinner but the staffs are very helpful and even suggested restaurants to dine with. And even before arrived, I asked for recommendations for places to visit around Loei and they gladly se...

Beautiful and Calm resort among nature. Easy to find by self drive with GPS. In the central part, flower garden is decorated. Next to the garden is a small lake where you are able to run or bike around. The separated restaurant building is the place where I tried dinner. The taste is impressive and price is reasonable. Breakfast set is plenty of quality and adequate fo...

We're very happy about the size of the room, it was huge! and it was also very clean and full facilities. One little problem that occurred was the parking place for our car. We had to park our car at the other guesthouse which owned by the same owner and walked to this hotel, the walking distance was 1/4 of a mile but if you traveled there with a car then make you have...

the resort is located just outside of dan sai in a beautiful valley. nice surprise to see grazing water buffalo in the morning. trip was in off-season so me and only one other group at the resort. service was very good but it helps if you can speak some thai as not all front desk staff were fluent in english. comment in a previous review about smell from bathroom; ...

we arrived there early morning, but couldn't get into the room until 2pm. if your trip wasn't planned very well, you may ask from the reception, the tourist map or the chiangkhan guidebook are available for guests to borrow. the hotel has little balcony just next to lobby that you can sitting there, reading some nice book or even have a nap.

the hotel is really nice decoration. We like that they still keep the traditional old wood house mix with a vintage style decoration. Nice staff as well. You can take a bike from the hotel for free cycling around the town or oven the Khong River side. I stayed in the room with shared bathroom but it's seem still nice n private anyway. I definate will comeback to stay i...
Cheap places to stay in Loei Province

We stayed for 300 baht for 1 night. Great value and highly recommended. Caveat is no A/C, so its hot during the late morning to evening, which is when we were out exploring anyways. Second caveat is the room on the 2nd floor is quite far away from the toilet/shower which is located near restaurant, 50 meters away in another building, so late night trips to the toilet m...

It is next to the bus station. Very clean hotel, wonderful helpful owners. The bed was softer then normal Thai bed, had American sized toilet. Ok water pressure and drainage. Nice bedding n pillows. If you need a place close to the airport in Loei or bus terminal and want a nice clean room. This place can not be beat. Good TV and Wifi and a phone in the room. On hit w...

Just the details without opinion - Easy to find, Very nice room for the price, Not big enough to be crowded, and just far enough from town that it was very quiet, BEAUTIFUL view of the night sky, but also near enough to town to be able to go in to find something to eat/shop if you need. My own opinion - The guy who runs this place could not have been more hospitable! ...

Location for the hotel is good, but not close to Chiang Khan Walking Street. Enough restaurants close by and no need to go more expensive restaurants around Walking Street. Family room big enough for four. If go to Chiang Khan again, this will be a good place to stay. There was a possibility to use bicycles and place owner gave good advice for everything to do, see and...

i luuurve this this gh ; owner/staff in charge were all kind and friendly. the rooms were decorated/furnished in a good taste of "boraan = traditional" way. free wi-fi, bathrooms, kitchen facility, rental bikes, etc., were all nicely maintained. i will surely go back this place, partly because i left behind one of my wallets (!) while in a hurry checking out, which how...

The place is alright comparable to price paid. But bed and pillow are hard solid. Worst part was the water heater was broken the whole time we stay, i had to take cold shower whole time i stayed there. Howerver staff was helpful and friendly, hotel location was great

You will like this place! bc this hotel is near to 7/11. You can walk to the Nigh Market street just around 3-5mins. Easy to take the Skylab bike bc is near to the main road. Staff so nice, I arrived to the hotel around 9pm no any staff in the hotel, but I called to ask about my booking. Them also helpfully and friendly!

This place is great . Just off prime location of river by 4 minute walk . Free bicycle every day . The lady owner is a little gem . She done my washing and Dry it for free . The price is amazing per night . Don’t expect Hilton but clean and hot shower . I’m coming back here . I love it :)

Great little spot, as close to the Mekong as you can get. My room overlooked the river, a little dated, but functional. Cozy, honey feel to it, although some difficulties communicating with staff when the owner was not about. Would recommend and stay here again

At first they seemed confused over my booking, offering a small room with shared bath. I refused and said I had paid for room with bath. It helped that I speak Thai. The room I did get was really nice and super clean, all new. Highlight was the little 3 year old grandson who befriended me immediately, named Tem. Breakfast was very small. People very friendly.

All lodgings are a distance from phu kradueng mountain. Eateries/market/7-11 are a gd few km from Creek. Still, this is a great place to stay before/after u head up the mountain. Vast compounds, much effort go into maintaining landscaping. Wifi is strong. Good sized room, clean sheets. Host personally cooks western style breakfast for guests. And price is unbeatable. I...

we booked two rooms at this guesthouse. due to serious and potentially disasterous navigation errors we were unable to meet our reservations. when we arrived a day later, we were expecting and willing to pay for another night. the landlady graciously offered us the rooms with no additional charge. our rooms were in a separate building from the main guesthouse. they ar...

If you are looking for genuine local life with great relax atmosphere , this guesthouse is the best in Chiangkan. The room is facing MeKong river and the fog comes knocking on your door in the morning(if you r lucky) Decoration is great and very artistic. The combination of junk art and wooden antique house is perfect. You can also order tasteful drinks made by the own...

The location is not on the walking street even if not that far from it. Facilities are quite new and clean. The main downside of the place is it's owner. He promised to arrange a pickup service in the early morning but no pickup and no owner himself show up at all.

I chose this as the lowest room rate,so I don't expect much. The resort is on the main street, it' s 2 km from the main road ( LOEI- Phurua road). There is no shop, restaurant or market in walking distance. Need to go around by private car only. The old lady owner was olvery kind ,this is I like . Room is a bit narrow.

The equipment was new and clean. Because there is no divider in the shower area, I am dissatisfied that the toilet and the washroom get wet after showering. Apart from that, the facilities were good. There was no mention from the staff about returning the deposit at the time of checkout. So I needed to return to the counter again later.

We booked that hotel on the way to Phu Kradeng for one nigth, we would have love to stay more. Beautifull on a great site that look like a small village. Nice little restaurant on place. Little bit far from Loei but i would still go back to visit around.

I would not recommend this hotel to westerners purely based on the bed which was like concrete, the hardest yet in Thailand. The room was ok, hosts very sweet but had much better rooms for less money. On a good note the place was quiet and about 20 min walk to walking street for great street food.

Really lovely clean tidy resort. Simple but thoughtful extras. Very nice garden to relax In. Probably the best sleep we have had in Thailand. A little way out of town but they offer free bycicles or you can rent a motorbike. Much quieter than town here. A very good experience and great value.

Could be noises if busy, comfortable bed, clean, No bugs or no smells. Basic but everything functioned. Coffee and hot water at front in an open hut near reception. Didn't tell me about it until I asked. Parking. Small room, has sufficient power powers. Thai tv channels but I found CNN and France 24. 3km from town center. Big c 2 km away. No restaurants nearby. Would ...
