Catalonia hotels & accommodations

Where to begin? I stayed here for my 50th birthday with three friends. On arrival at check-in was greeted with a glass of cava. I booked 2 rooms and both were upgraded. Wow, a lovely room. Comfy beds, lovely linen, big fluffy towels, slippers, dressing gown...the bathroom was minimalist, monsoon shower. good toiletries including bath salts! The room had nespresso mach...

Visited in December 2018. Staff were extremely professional and friendly. Breakfast spread each morning was sumptuous. Room views were fantastic, with the telecommunications needle and art museum of Catalonia in sight. There were also heaters installed in the toilets to keep warm after showering. Location was right next to the paral-el station exit, with supermarke...

1898 is everything you'll dream of !! The location can not be more central ... The Spa is brilliant with the most beautiful romantic heated pool . The service is outstanding !!! start from the little things like small water bottle for you in the spa and the lightning in the room which you can choose to fit your mood . The shower -wow ! designed for the perfect shower ...

[Staffs] Extremely warm, polite and helpful. Tried to sooth and help us as best as they could after we got robbed in Barca. Promptly offered to help us with our room change/upgrade when there were some small issues that we didn't mind in the room. Offered wake-up calls etc. Extremely nice bunch of people (: [Room] Extremely clean and spacious. Had everything you'd ne...

location location location!! absolutely perfect! it is an amazing 4 star hotel that should be considerred 5 stars, best location in barcelona, practicaly 2 seconds from la ramblas street (which i fell in love with) and across the street from the aerobus service (airport bus)so it really has a great location, the receptionist was soooooooo nice to us! hr name was suzana ...

We were staying in this hotel at the beginning of our trip to Catalonia in August-September 2013. We wanted to spend a couple of days in Barcelona, just to enjoy this city again; and this hotel matched well to our targets: in 1 minute walk to the square of Catalunia with easy access to public transport and to the airport shuttles, starting their service from the square...

Nice and clean central 3 star hotel. In the reception there is a Welcome water and Apple which is nice. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from rocafort metro station. I stayed only 1 night. The room is spacious with a minibar fridge, free bottle of water and tea coffee. Toiletries (no tissue box) in the bathroom and extra body wash on the wall in the shower. I would stay ...

Mark was great! Great emailer before check in and great check in and check out host. Great location mostly because it's on same block of a metro stop. It's a little far from the marina and Las Ramblas but it's an enjoyable walk through the city. If you're going to the beach, walk up the hill and take the scenic cable car ($11 +/- one way) to Sant Sebastia Beach. Be ...

Me and my Wife stayed at the Pulitzer Hotel as part of out Honeymoon tour of Europe July 2013. The Pulitzer is a cool quirky and luxury Boutique Hotel right next to Plaza De Catalunya, just off the Rambla! The place is good, you walk in to a cool looking bar and reception and there is always good music playing. The room was big and really comfortable, big bathroom a...

I really wonder when was the time when Europe theme sounded stylish and sexy - today the once modern style of this hotel looks really outdated. Apart from that almost everything is good - the location is about 20 minutes by bus 46 to the airport, almost the same to the city center. The hotel is clean, very easy to find, staff is friendly, rooms are spacious and well ai...

There is no free wifi in the rooms, only in certain common locations. The room was quite comfortable and the location of the hotel, in an area not close to main tourist attractions may seem inconvenient but with a metro stop close by, if you are a tourist and have time to spare, makes every part of the city, from the beach to the outskirts, accessible. Some amount of...

Very modernly designed, large room and bathroom, clean and nice but very limited eating options. The bar area is the best place of the limited options and take note of special listed in the elevator. It was the BEST option. Soft drinks are expensive so if you can buy some in a city before you come that's the best. Ice is available on every floor and so is an empty ...

This hotel is the BEST at communicating with their guests even before they arrive! The staff has a heart and are very thoughtful. I didn’t even stay there and I was so impressed. THAT is what you call service. I will tell everyone. 2 days before I checked in to the hotel I r’cd a call that my mum had passed. I emailed the hotel who advised that b/c I booked with Agod...

Hotel was well located and the worth the cost. Check-in: I wish I had been told the location of the sensor for activating the lights. Imagine entering a dark room for the first time and fumbling around. I had to go back down to the reception to be cheekily told "welcome to Europe, we save energy". Sure that is great! But guys let me know where the sensor is located -...

the hotel located on a street next to La Rambla and walking distance to Plaza Catalunya, which means the location is the best for traveller. It is walking distance from Aerobus bus stop hence make the travelling journey to airport is easy and quick. With the price that they charged, it is value for money in this location. However, the downside is the hotel charge euro...

Gran ducat offers the right service and ample room size. Definitely value for money since it is centrally located and all the best shopping and dining areas are well within a 10 min walk from the hotel. They have friendly staff who can suggest all the must see locations in Barcelona as well as the best routes to take to get there. This hotel is a stop and go type of ho...

Located in possibly the best neighbourhood in the city, absolutely stunning gothic architecture seconds walk from the hotel. Staff were nice and kindly allocated us a triple room regardless of booking mistake which was for 2. Room was clean, really quiet, aircon working nicely. However toiletries were a bit basic and the room was tiny.

Modern room with handy location. Staff was good and polite and will try their best to accommodate your request. Stayed there for 3 nights pre cruise and 1 night post cruise. They allow me to check in early as I was having sea sick due to rough sea. Good location near Liceu Station and also close to cruise port. With a little upgrade they can easily change from a hos...

This is my second stay here and will be my choice of where to stay in Barcelona. The location is reasonably close to the airport. The shuttle service is a bonus which will save you 20 euros in taxi fares each way. Its not in the city centre but for 2.20 euros by bus which is on the doorstop, its a great alternative, you'd be paying that for using the metro. Now about t...

I stayed at Casa Gracia on March 2015 with my parents. I was so excited because it was the first time in Barcelona for me, and also for my parents, it was the first time in Europe. When we got the hostel right from the airport from Korea, we were exhausted, but since we saw the room, it was really nice and we could be relaxed. Room was very nice, the bathroom was big w...

Stayed here for five nights and left a very happy couple. Rooms were beautifully spacious and clean. The bed we had was enormous. Air conditioning in the room was extremely fast working. My only gripe with the room, and it was by no means a big deal but, the hair dryer was very small and you had to hold the button down for it to work. For someone with waist length hair...

Our stay at Pol & Grace was amazing. This was one of our best hotel stays in Europe. For a start, the hotel is just less than a minute walk from the train station. Going to town or many major attractions from this hotel is extremely convenient given that there are 2 metro lines at the station. The design of the room was very unique. It isn't like any other hotel. I l...

This hotel is my favorite. I like the design, the staff is very good, the bed is the best i know so far. We book this hotel every year, because we like barcelona and especialy we love this hotel so much. The location, the rooms, the staff, the food, the room service, the breakfast, the coffee, everything we love in this hotel. The Hotel is not cheap, but compared to...

Usually, when I'm booking hotels and look at the pictures they have posted, I don't expect it to be as lovely as those pictures when I get there in person except for this hotel. Astoria Hotel blew my expectations. The room was perfect; the hotel staff was excellent and kind. It is in a great location close to Diagonal and Rambla de Catalunya; very close to metro stati...

Travel with group of 5 with a late arrival. Docs provided did not include instructions for addl entry pad on outside of building. Tried entering reservation details, but could not locate, there was a number to dial and was quickly answered and they buzzed me in as I was not in that system. Instructions need to be updated even the check-in listed in the instructions w...

The location is perfect...fronts to a small park, about 50 yards away to bay boulevard, ten minute easy walk to MAREMAGNUM / Bay Mall, 3 minute walk to Las Ramblas' restaurants and bars, and yet quiet and peaceful. The staff (Oscar) was helpful and accommodating . The room is quaint but very comfortable and has two small balconies. The shower room is quite nice wit...
Cheap places to stay in Catalonia

going there to the airport I do recommend you buy the HOLA BARCELONA travel cad they have 2,4..... days just check the nearest train station its was a huge mistake to took a cab for 32euros (price of 2, 2days hola card). It's a tiny door leading to the hostel, don't be scared like I did (the name on the door is small), buzz right thru and some one will open the door fo...

I was in the city by myself working on a film for three days. The hostel had everything I needed. Staff were friendly and helpful, beds comfy and private (with individual lights and curtains) and everything was lovely and clean. Didn't seem like the best atmosphere if you wanted to meet people and party, but it's perfect for a relaxed visit.
![Swimming pool [outdoor]](http://pix10.agoda.net/hotelImages/120650/-1/a684658e006502306ada3516842b0a91.jpg?va=1&ca=9&ce=1&s=312x235&ar=16x9)
We spent 2 days in Barcelona and at the Inout hotel, which is a very nice location in the forest, a bit far away from the city center if you don't have a car, but directly in the nature. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff is very nice. And we also enjoyed the swimming-pool. To be recommended if you look for a "nice" price.

I was checked into the hostel with no hassle. They require a 10Euro cash deposit for a combinational lock to lock your things in your cubby. Do not worry you will get your deposit back when you return the lock at the end of your stay. I found the bathrooms very clean. The beds sufficiently comfortable to get a night's rest. The staff was amazing. They are very friendly...

I stayed here twice within one month. I traveled through out Spain and this was the best hostel experienced I had without a doubt. The staff is more than helpful and relaxed. This place was clean and had a great atmosphere. I highly recommend partaking in the daily events they have set up for you to meet other travelers alike. It can get very busy and rowdy in the even...

Its clean and near the city center. You get a decent bed and washing facilities. A locker albeit you have to pay a euro to get the lock and key. The staff is polite and generally helpful. The kitchen is decent as is the large lounge with a couple of computers if you have a need for them. The atmosphere is a little dull and quiet which might not be everyone's cup of tea...

My stay was astounding. One of the BEST hostels in Europe! If you stay at Sant Jordi Hostel Rock Palace--expect 5-star treatment, great facilities, pub crawls every night. Staff is very professional--Paolo is a 5-star team member along with the rest. You won't be disappointed if you book a room or bed at Sant Jordi hostel. Give them a try, see how you can experie...

Fantastic hostel - conveniently located in an area that is nice and quiet, but an easy 15 min walk to Placa de Catalunya and the more busy, crowded and loud city center. The staff here was absolutely wonderful - they will always greet you with a smile and offer to help. I ended up without a place to stay on New Year's Eve and even though Casa Kessler was fully booked...

My stay was astounding. One of the BEST hostels in Europe! If you stay at URBANY BCN GO--expect 5-star treatment, great facilities, pub crawls every night. Staff is very professional--Cristina, Elise, Christophe, Wendy, Courtney, LAURA from MIAMI BEACH, SARAH from Wales, Sarah from OZ, Dexter are 5-star team members along with the rest. Danny and management do a grea...

It was the best hostel I’ve ever visited. First, the price was very cheap and the facility was great. The staff even allowed me to check in earlier. Normally when I stay at hostel I consider it as a just sleeping place since all the hostels i’ve ever been to were really dirty and smelly but this hostel was totally differnet! And there is a beach 10mins away from the ho...

The room was large and attractively decorated. The large floor level only had two other rooms which meant that the large shared kitchen and seating area felt that it was homely personal space and very unlike a hotel. This wasn't the only so called 'bed and breakfast' accommodation that we stayed in that was in fact much better than most of the hotel rooms we had booked...

I stayed for 2 nights. The Gràcia district is the best area for hanging out in Barcelona. The building is modern with a stylish area to eat or work on your laptop, and a spacious private courtyard open from 8AM - 8PM. Everything was clean and the toilet facilities were good. The WiFi was fast. My 4-bunk dorm was spacious. Perhaps the only problem was the lack of coat...

Generator Barcelona is a 7-10min walk from the metro. Although the neighborhood seems dark and quiet at night, it’s extremely safe. There’s also a lot of nearby 24hr convenience stores near the area. The rooms were cleaned regularly, and so were the bathrooms. The staff was nice and accommodating. Tried asking for a bottom bunk for my shared room, and they gladly gave ...

1 Very nice terrace, even if a bit windy. I imagine it would be perfect on summer months. 2. No upper sheet, just blanket. Does not feel comfortable. 3. I don't think the floor in my room was even brushed once during my stay. (Corridors and bathrooms were brushed and washed daily) 4. Though shower stalls are nicely roomy, showers themselves left lot to wish for. Wat...

I checked in very late at night but that was not a problem at all. Guy at reception was very friendly! The only thing that was unusual is that I didn't get a card for the room because of some kind of problem, some guest lost it or it wasn't working, but since i only stayed one night I didn't need it anyways. Bathroom was good, I would have liked more hooks on the wal...

Great place for the price but I found shifty the"free" food night that we've been told at the reception. Came down expecting some chips and to meet others. Found this big Brazilian guy working there hugging the guacamole bowl and kept insisting on buying drinks. Even after I got a beer, he kept hugging the bowl even taking it out of reach because the 2 guys next to me ...

Very clean hostel. Two toilets(including shower)in a room.Near Sants station,I really had wonderful stay here:) Sorry that I failed the checkout time but the staffs are so nice to me even I made mistakes about the time.. Breakfast included,so the cost performance is perfect:) One of the best hostels I have ever stayed :) Dear Mariluz You are so nice lady:) Tha...

We arrived to hostel at about 23:00. We were met at the reception without any problem, we gave a deposition for keys (10 euro each) and sucessfully got our rooom. It was so clean and smelled so good (this smell of clean sheets was there for all three days). Beds were comfortable af. It was noisy outside but it's obvious if you live in the city centure. There are free l...

Don't waste your money. Awful place. Unclean, poor staff, shocking facilities, exposed wires in the wall, the list goes on. Don't think the beds actually qualify as beds, probably a better nights sleep, sleeping on the floor. Not much else to say really, ended up moving to a hotel.

Almost everything was great during the period i stayed here. The staff was really kind, the quality of the hostel was good too. However, because it was really noisy whenever it was night, so i was not able to sleep it off. And a couple did weird stuff in the middle of daybreak, so that was irritating. Except for what i mentioned above, i was satisfied with the hostel. ...

The overall environment is better than a 3 star hotel even though it's a hostel. You could find a clean and well equipped kitchen, as well as stylish decoration. I stayed in a private room with a baconly. It's surprisingly spacious. Also, the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The stay is nice and enjoyable.

this hotel was probably the best choice. the underground station just in front of the hotel, around 10 seconds from the entrance. the room was really clean, nice furnitre and hd tv which is not a must, but great entertainment for rainy nights. the hotel has a very good price/performance ratio.

hotel seems really new and the room is nice, new, clean, good bathroom! nice breakfast buffet u don't wish to be missed... a good breakfast before starting your everyday traveling/sightseeing is always the best! it's around 15-20mins by walk to the subway/metro and you can go anywhere by subway. it's near the beach, bogatell beach nice place! free wireless interne...

Best stay in Spain. Hotel is located literally above Barcelona's main railway and metro stations. Within 5-15-minute metro rides of Barcelona's main attractions. Hotel room was meticulously clean and comfortable with all the necessary amenities provided (toiletries, safe, iron, ironing board, mini bar, large screen TV, hairdryer, etc.) Features double sinks and full ...

Enjoyed my short stay. Rooms were very clean but location is not ideal. Its a 25 euro taxi trip from Airport. No bus because i arrived after midnight in Barcelona, otherwise there is a 5 min walk bus stop from Hotel. Food - Excepted more for a four star hotel, just simple black coffee & tea during breakfast. But there was a variety of food choices available. ( pastry, ...

The hotel was amazing, it’s very close (5 mins) to an underground stop so can get the quiet of being a bit out but also only a couple stops from the centre. The area isn’t the best but we felt safe in the hotel and could easily get to the main tourist sites via the underground. The hotel is so clean and towels are swapped every day and the bed made. I liked that you al...

I hardly write hotel review unless the hotel has wow factor. First of all, ALL staffs are so helpful and friendly, location is right in the center, so close (within 5 mins walk) to the shopping areas, apple stores, hardrock cafe & etc.... In addition, you just need to walk (less than 3 mins) to the bus station to catch the Aerobus to the airport. As a foodie, we are...

Staff was superb!! Extremely helpful. Helped booked tickets for events on their computer. made helpful suggestions. Set up large cab for airport night before.... Excellent! Room is very dark. Dark colors are nice but since the lights are low and the natural light tough due to the high rise behind... No clock. (From our friends staying there and had their breakfast incl...

The location was awesome! The pedestrian/bicycle promenade full of cafes, restaurants and small shops was quintessential Europe. The location is just a few blocks from the beach which was very crowded during my stay. Rooms were very large and modern furnishings. Being a bit nit picky, the hotel is very close to a 5-star, but has some minor imperfections - restaurant w...

Very nice, smart comfortable hotel. Upgraded to a suite; perfectly nice room , but wanted the garden terrace booked. View of opposite street. The rain meant thar garden terrace wasn’t used., pool terrace or outside . Shame it was just lovely . Staff concierge just delightful . Highly recommend.

The room (loft) we booked was more like an apartment with a kitchen. Pretty spacious and clean. Also the interior design was quite nice. The location of the hotel is superb and you can reach almost every sightseeing attraction by foot! There is also a near subway station. We purchased a 5 days Barcelona Card but NEVER used it because we walked to all spots. The hotel i...

Great hotel right in the centre, only about 100 metres off Las Ramblas and close to a metro station. The room was clean, unfortunately twin beds rather than the double that was booked though. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The only real fault I could find is that the pool on the roof is tiny. Great hotel for the price that we paid. The area is a lot safer than...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ciutadella Barcelona. A nice cozy hotel, very helpful and kind staff, just a 15 minute walk to the Barceloneta beach, possible to walk to the very center (just stay in the shade, there is plenty). Air conditioning worked great, just be sure to close the windows. We did not have breakfast at the hotel, but there are many nice cafes with...

We were a big family of 10 persons with 2 young children. Our first time in Barcelona, check-in went smoothly, staff were friendly and we slept comfortably. Location perfect. Parallel to Placa Catalunya, the street that leads to La Rambla. Also, a walking strip with all the restaurants and bars nearby. Shopping next to hotel. Wish we had booked this hotel agai...

the hotel has big and comfortable rooms, location is ok. 20 mins walk fron tizristic areas and well connected by public transport, however it is quiet area without tourists. there are a great bakery in the street for breakfast, and the city's best gourmet tapas bar called pinxus only 40 meters from the hotel entrance.

The very friendly staff made my stay quite pleasant!!! Small room appeared much larger by the cleverly designed room divider. It was beautiful! Not a lot of space for luggage, but it still felt luxurious. The bathroom was exceptional! Lovely shower and separate deep tub made leaving difficult. The photos doesn't do this hotel any justice. It is very beautiful. The hotel in general smell clean and fresh. Its very quiet. the fitness center is small but trust me, you can burned enough cal's, and the gym has a great view of the city. ohla hotel is a newly constructed facility hidden behind the facade of ancient spanish architecture. located near the gothic quarter the hotel is perfectly situated for sight seeing and shopping. the rooms are amazing with open plan bathrooms, ample storage space and hi-tech furnishing. the breakfast service is of a very high quality and is complimented by the michelin...

Everything is fabulous here in this hotel, very good value for money to stay here. However, there are two main shortcomings, first one is the distance to the city center. Mainly 30 min. But it can be overcomed I think. The second one is the wifi connection. Very unstable when I stayed there for 6 days. It takes a long time to login a lot of websites, or even cannot ope...

I would have to say that this is one of the top 5 hotels I have stayed at in my life. Of course, I am not a big spender or anything but I've stayed at 4/5 star hotels in other countries at a simliar price range and this hotel was much better. First, its location in proximity to the beach at Barceloneta/Port Olimpic was unbeatable. Second, the staff knew it was our h...

Wonderful hotel overall. Not tremendously cheap, but very good value. Clean, spacious rooms. Awesome shower, great water pressure. Location directly on Placa Catalunya is absolutely unbeatable. The view from the 7th floor bar is amazing. The breakfast buffet was very generous for the price. Slow elevators and tiny windowless gym definitely leave something to be desire...

We had a total of 5 days stay at the hotel, the staff service was really good. Everyone was very friendly and they were always there to help and answer any questions. Breakfast was great as the staff were always welcoming and lovely in the morning. Hotel is very good when it comes to security, as they lock the doors at night so that strangers do enter in randomly.
