Alberta Province hotels & places to stay

Banff Rocky Mountain Resort is located just outside of town on the main road from the highway, so it's not anywhere near all the restaurants and bars downtown, but it does provide a hourly shuttle service if you don't want to drive. Our room with two comfy queen beds was nice and food at their little restaurant was really good. We stayed there on the Family Day weekend, so the nightly cost of the room had been bumped up to almost double the price showing for the rest of the week. If not for the inflated cost this weekend, I probably would have gone five stars across the board except for location, and I didn't have an issue with the location because it was nice and quiet in the trees.

Had a great stay at this hotel... very comfortable and very conveniently located for our early morning flight the next day. Had a nice quiet indoor heated pool away from the loudness of the water park with water slides... though they were also fun for a try! Being the Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend we were directed to their dining room for dinner for an optional turkey dinner so that was a nice extra. Would stay again next time we have an early flight if the price is right!

I have booked with Deluxe One-Bedroom Apartment 2 Queens, the apartment is huge and nice. We can cooked our breakfast & dinner in the room, but you still have to bring your own seasoning & oil, the car can be parked right in front of the room which is huge convenience to us. The hot tube is great with nice view, although the location is a bit far from the town, the hotel provide shuttle to help and it's a nice location to those who with car.

Terrific hotel. The room was a little small but comfortable and clean. The property is immaculate and the hot tub grotto was not to be missed. Parking underground felt safe. Chili's restaurant is on-site and a complimentary continental breakfast was included. It is a leisurely 10 minute walk to the town center. The bus runs right by the hotel and your room key gets free passage. I would definitely stay there again.

I was only there for one night. I had interactions with two front desk people and one cleaning lady. They were all friendly and very helpful. The room was very clean. Breakfast was buffet style. It was good, with a good variety of food/beverage choices. It is close to the airport but you don't hear any planes overhead. Shuttle service to the airport is very good.

This is quite an expensive hotel and is not near the city center, BUT they have good facilities and is definitely worth it. You'll have a good night sleep after a long day. However, we never were contacted about the powerbank and cord charger that we left in our room. We checked out early but had a good 30 mins left in the lobby but we're not informed of the lost item. We just figured we left it when we boarded our van and we remembered leaving the powerbank at the table near the bed :(

I was super impressed by how nice and modern our studio was. It had everything my family needed. It was a pleasure to stay there. Except, my kids are allergic to dogs and I definitely found dog hair on the carpet part of the bedroom which I started looking for when they started scratching like mad. I dont think a dog was registered for the room so it may have been a friends dog that came in because the rest of the place was spotless. The pool was so fun for little kids and the staff was great. Where the place fails is the sauna and hot pool which was drained and not working. The inn provided complimentary hot tub at nearby hotels but who wants to do that. Lol. The location of the facilities is in an isolated area. It was creepy. I wouldn’t use them unless I was with a group. The laundry was good and reasonably priced. Best part is that the shuttle stops in front and the cost is covered by the inn so it’s free to go back and forth to town. That was the best perk.

It was an alright hotel. The staff was very polite and helpful, and answered all questions to the best of their abilities. The lobby was wonderful, with a gorgeous skylight that I admired on all occasions. Hotel room was okay. Firm beds, soft pillows, slightly stained sheets (a couple black spots on the sheets), small bathroom, good shower head. Nice balcony. Pool was so cold I swear I thought I might go into shock. Hot tub was nice, but it had no switch to turn it on. So it was a jetless jacuzzi, that was more of a warmtub than a hot tub. The buffet Breakfast was alright, though a little lacking for the 15$ it cost. Buffet staff was also very great, cleaning up and making polite small talk while checking up on you. Hot food, not cold enough juice. Nice bread, and tasty hashbrowns. Lots of parking, lots of lobby seating, lots of construction going on. But it was very discreet constructive, without much sound or annoyance to ruin a day of laying around the hotel. Okayhotel, but old.

My partner and I stopped here for 3 nights before heading on to the Rockies. We arrived in the evening, check in was easy and quick. The rooms was clean. Comfortable bed. Fridge, cooker, coffee machine. There is a grocery store across the road. Starbucks on the corner. It was within walking distance to everything. A short walk to downtown Calgary and 17th Avenue. There are bars and restaurants near by too. You will not be lost here. My partner and I were very happy with the hotel. Breakfast is limited to toasr, cereal, coffee and some pastries but again we were happy with it. It fuelled us enough for the morning until we stopped for lunch. The only downside that may annoy some people is the fact that there is no lift. But it’s not like you’ve to climb to the top of the Calgary tower. Its a small hotel. I would definitely recommend for a quick stop over.

This was the 3rd hotel that we stopped at during our 2 week tour of Alberta & BC, the hotel was not that bad, but the issue we had was with other customers in the room above on the 3rd floor being very noisy and keeping us awake until gone 2.30am we did at 12.30am ring the front desk, but the lady could not get the room above us to stay quite, at one point I was going to sort things out myself but was told to leave it to the staff at the hotel, as we had to be up at around 7.30am it left us both shattered for the long drive that we had the following day. When I spoke to the 2 ladies on the front desk the one lady did say that she had been up 3 times to room above in the night, but could not get them to be quite, all in all this was the worst experience that we had over the 2 weeks that we were there and for that reason I would not recommend this hotel at all !!!

Excellent . We had a wedding and booked this hotel for many of our guests from different parts of the world. The rooms were huge and kitchenette was well equipped. The beds were comfortable lighting was bright . Every day the menu for free hot breakfast was changed and there was a very wide choice of eggs sausages bacon potatoes etc lots of different breads and bakery products tea coffee juice cereals fresh fruits yogurt etc. Our guests were delighted with the idea that they could eat at hotel itself. It was close to safeway and the microwave and fridge and coffee maker and electric cooking range with pots and pans and dishes meant a lot to us we could really be all in one room and eat and talk and be family together or stay apart and enjoy own time too. Parking was free and wifi worked well . Elevators and utility areas like laundry room dining room gym etc all had security due to key service All of us were very happy with this homely yet geared towards business guests hotel in downtown calgary. Thanks to all staff and jason for looking after us

Well this time I stayed in calgary just for one night / day before heading home. Hotel was nice and staff was friendly. Only thing that I could say bad about the hotel was that my room didnt have free wifi / internet. I took the cheapest room because I was alone and it was only for one night. So I had to pay for my internet, maybe better room would have it included. Just thought that every 4 star should have free internet :P

Also loved the 2nd floor courtyard. Our room had French doors to the courtyard and it was a great way to cool down after the soak at the Upper Hots Springs. The bed was so comfortable, the kids were asleep in minutes and never woke til much later than usual. Having an underground parking space was also a bonus. It was cool and overcast much of the weekend but coming down and getting into a warm van was a great way to start the day. We'll be back!!!
