When I first arrived at the hotel I thought I could go in without doing anything but NO! I needed a PIN number in order to enter the hotel and I NEVER got the PIN number from them through email and I ended up asking one stranger to call up the hotel to get the PIN number! They should at least have Wi-Fi outside the hotel as well as email so I can contact them without calling them! Maybe a phone close to the entrance door outside so I can at least call the customer service! First day was worst but overall it’s a nice place to stay and they have cleaning services where they clean your room and leave clean bed sheets, bath towels, and face towels. If this PIN number stuff wasn’t an issue I would’ve given them 5 stars but not really worth it… If you’re looking to stay here it might be better to book this hotel through their official site so they can email you your PIN number.
If you’ve ever dreamed of checking into a hotel without speaking to a single person, Rakuten Stay Tokyo Asakusa is your moment. There’s no staff, just a screen and your own sense of existential dread after a long flight. But hey, it works. The room? Stylish, clean, and roughly the size of a generous walk-in closet. Two suitcases? You’re fine. Three? You now live in a game of spatial awareness. Great view of Tokyo Skytree though — so if you’re going to be boxed in, at least you get skyline with your suffering. Location is solid: 5–10 minutes from subway stations, and you’re basically next door to the Skytree. For the price, it’s a steal. Just don’t expect pampering — this place is more “efficient capsule of solitude” than “Tokyo luxury.” And somehow, that’s exactly what I needed.
Pros: It is located in a quiet area and near the spots in Asakusa. Lots of restaurants and convenience stores near the nearest subway station, which is 5 to 8 minutes away. If you have luggage, just look for the exit with the elevator. It was cool seeing the Skytree on the way to the hotel. The size of the room is perfect for a solo traveler. The bed is soft and comfortable. The room is generally clean. Aside from the usual toiletries (conditioner, shampoo, body wash, hand wash), they provided 1 bottle of alcohol and 1 bottle of sanitizer for clothes. Pajamas and bedroom slippers were also provided. Check-in (as long as you get the email for the hotel entrance passcode) and check-out were no hassle. Scheduling for cleaning was also a breeze. Cons: They didn't send the hotel entrance passcode 1 day before check-in as promised here. Before my flight, i had to send several messages here but didn't receive a reply. I sent emails on the email in their website but didn't get a reply also. I eventually found their email address thru the agoda customer service on the app and sent 2 emails before getting a reply. But once you get the email, check-in is fast. As to location, if you're planning to stay out late in Shinjuku or Shibuya, make sure to keep track of the last trains to avoid paying a lot for a taxi or uber. As to cleanliness, some parts (switches, bathroom corners) were a bit dusty. It was also weird because after cleaning, the table top and small counter on the bathroom mirror had droplet stains. There was only 1 pillow. It would be nice if they had umbrellas that guests could borrow. Overall: Good place to stay for your money's worth.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Rakuten Stay Tokyo Asakusa, and I was impressed by how thoughtfully the property has been designed for guest convenience. I stayed there for 4 nights at 2 different room. One thing to note is that not all rooms are made the same—some are more spacious than others. However, this variety in room size doesn't detract from the overall comfort and functionality of the accommodations. For me, Rakuten Stay Tokyo Asakusa is a great choice for travelers looking for a convenient and comfortable place to stay in Tokyo. Don't let any preconceived notions about room layouts or sizes deter you—each room is designed with practicality in mind, and every guest can enjoy a pleasant, hassle-free experience. As for me, For Budget Hotel n the price, this hotel is a very good bargain. I'll be back here again for sure.

“Exceptional”
The hotel is located near Tokyo Skytree and close to Honjo-Azumabashi Station, which offers direct access to Haneda Airport. While there is no luggage storage area at the hotel, there are storage lockers nearby for about 800 yen per day per suitcase. The room is small, making it a bit difficult to unpack your suitcase comfortably. You will receive an entrance code and a preregistration link via email one day before your stay. Check-in is done via an iPad, where you can obtain the door access code.
