Nampo hotels & places to stay

Really loved this hotel, this is the best hotel if love shopping & street food. Nearby to a lot of tourists attractions. Lost my card on the 1st day of check in & it was quickly settle by the front desk staff. Thumbs up for the great service! And they also helped to book a cab for us to the airport, as we read from some forum that it will cost almost 40,000won, but the staff helped us to book at only 18,000won., not sure what's the reason though. Definitely will recommend to all my friends.👍👍👍👍

We enjoyed our stay in Busan's Stanford Hotel. The hotel is located in between Nampo train station and Jalgachi train station. It is nearer to Nampo gantry in our opinion. We reached the hotel via airport bus from Gimhae airport (which was located directly opposite the hotel - Airport Limousine Bus and stop at Nampo-dong for 6,000won) and left Busan via train (exit 6 Nampo is less than 30secs from the hotel entrance. However, if you are lugging big luggages (like we were) and going to the Busan train station, I would advise a taxi to Busan station. The taxi fare from hotel to Busan train station was only 4,400 won whereas the train ticket fares for two pax were 2,800 won. With taxi, it also saves you the trouble of dragging your luggage in the train station - and that itself is substantial savings in terms of effort. The excellent location of the hotel allows for various travel options and I calculated that we've saved a lot in terms of transport costs. There is no lack of food options or amenities around the hotel. Behind the hotel is Jalgachi market where you can have your seafood fix. Across the road from the hotel is the BIFF square where there are dozens of streetfood carts and restaurants. We preferred the streetfood carts and just walking around. We found the hotdeok of Busan to be unique as it's stuffed with nuts and there are many vendors selling the Busan version just opposite the hotel. Also there are many many many shops at BIFF square - think of it as the myeondong of Busan. Hotel service was good as expected from a four star hotel. Amenities were plenty and restocked daily. Beds were very comfortable. We were very happy with the view from our room. We had the harbourview and it overlooked the Busan bridge and Busan Tower. It was gorgeous at night.

I really liked staying here. I got a very nice harbor view, friendly staff, close to everything... fish market, park, shopping streets, Lotte shopping mall and just 8 min walk from Nampo metro station. For those who has heavy suitcases, you should get off at Exit 8 of Nampo metro station then go through the Lotte Shopping Mall to take an elavator to go up to the street side (next to Exit 8). It took me a while to figure out where the elevator was.

The hotel is very centrally located at BIFF Plaza, with the shopping streets just at your doorstep and the port (and Jagalchi market) just a 15 minute walk south. Food is definitely not a problem in the area, and some of the stores open pretty late including some food push carts that serve typical Korean street food. The area is also very safe at night because of its prime location. Nampo station and Jagalchi station are just about a 6 minutes walk from the hotel in the direction of the port. In Busan, you either want to stay at BIFF Plaza, Busan Station or the Huendae Beach area because the attractions are primarily near those places. The areas you might want to visit near the hotel are Jagalchi Market, the food alley, BIFF Plaza itself and its surrounding shopping streets and Gamcheon Cultural Village. The hotel can be hard to find because the entrance is a little obscure, but as long as you find yourself outside of a shopping complex opposite innisfree and next to New York Cronuts, you are safe. Just walk down the little street in-between the Cronuts & Ice Cream store and the shopping complex past some street food stalls and the entrance is on your right. The rooms are amazing and they are very comfortable and clean because this hotel is very new. Each room also has its own router (which we were so thankful for) so the wifi is really strong and fast. The staff at the front desk are very friendly, helpful and they can communicate fluently in English, Chinese and Japanese. My favourite part of the hotel? The main lobby has a coffee machine that serves fresh brews for free. It is not one of those cheap coffee machines that probably uses an instant mixture but it actually grinds coffee beans on the spot and brews a cup fresh for you. As a coffee junkie, it made my mornings! TLDR; Good location, near public transport and some prime locations, awesome free coffee, clean and comfortable rooms, helpful and friendly staff, obscure entrance

Nampo is a best place to stay to me, alot more street shops, restaurants and more variety compared to Samyeon. it's easy to walk around, from hotel to Nampo street, to Jagalchi market - morning seafood market, to Gukje market - street food and daily use household items, Plenty of shoe brands at Nampo. Elysee hotel room is big, must book deluxe room comes with Jacuzzi and sauna. It's located 10 mins from Nampo metro station, which is connected and easy to get to other parts of busan. The lotte departmental mall is also just few blocks away. In my opinion, the food court food here is pretty good and one of the the highlight is OPS BAKERY. One of the best bakery I have been. fresh with lots of variety and it's similar just like Europe. Tous les jours bakery is hopeless. For elderly, walking up the slope to the hotel might be a challenge. it's about 20 meters. Not that bad.

The stay in TowerHill Hotel was great. We will definitely recommend others to stay in this hotel if they were to visit Busan. Firstly, it is inexpensive and the location of the hotel is fabulous. Additionally, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. When we wanted to order delivery, they recommended us which delivery was best. Also, when we asked them to help us book the city tour bus and help us with directions, they always do it with a smile on their faces.

I didn't know it at first, but this is a common hotel in Japan for businessmen. So, if you want a big luxurious room, this is not the place, but if you want a cozy and very clean place for the best price I've found, this is perfect! It had everything you need like soap, conditioner, shampoo, and a hairdryer, but all you need is your own sponge or washcloth and lotions if you use them. I only had a few problems, but other people might not be like me: I am sensitive to noise, so I felt like I could hear people easily in the hallways and outside, so I wore ear plugs when I slept. It's just on a main road and a lot of people are also staying in the hotel. My boyfriend didn't even notice the noise, so maybe it will be OK for you. Also, breakfast is open to all patrons, so it gets pretty crowded fast. If you want breakfast, which is your typical Korean-style cafeteria fare, you'd better go earlier than later. Also, you should pay 1,000 won for coffee, so if you want coffee, I recommend visiting a nearby coffee shop. Oh yes, the biggest difference about this place is that they run a tight ship: they clean exceptionally well (compared to other Korean hotels I've been to), so they need a lot of time. You check in after 4 PM and check out at 10 AM. If you want your room cleaned, you need to be out of your room then from 10 AM - 4 PM. So if you want to travel a lot in Busan, it's good, but if you want to sleep in and stay in the room mostly, it might be inconvenient. I didn't have any big problems, and would definitely stay here again. They do a really good job and it's so clean and cozy!

It was a great stay at this guest house. Located along main road which takes u only 5-10mins walk to Nampo MTR Station, Lotte Duty Free, Gwangbo Shopping Street, Eating Market. 10th floor receptionist cum lobby allowed you to see the full seaview and GamCheon Culture Village too. They prepared breakfast material and we fried egg and made sandwich ourselfs. We took local bus from nearby bus stop to GamCheon Culture Village. Airport Limousin is the best transport which bus stop just nearby. Definately will stay again at this hotel if i go Busan next time.

Me and my family went to Busan for our family trip and we stayed in Bayhound hotel. My experience at Bayhound hotel was great so I want to share this to all! From the hotel, they had free shuttle service to Nampo-dong even though it is located super close to Nampo-dong. approx 5 mins. So my parents loved it as they are quite old to take public transports or walk for long. Also, all the staffs in the hotel were very kind and helpful to all of us! The best part was their English was very fluent so there were no problems to communicate with them. Again, Thank you Bayhound hotel to make my journey special!

We took a cab from busan station which cost around 5,300won. It is located opposite a police post and by the road so it is really safe to go out at night. A 24hr minimart was located three minutes away and it's a 5-10mins walk away from Nampo metro station which is the train. At Nampo, tons of shopping and food can be found to enjoy. I had a free upgrade of room and it was really beautiful. Had a very pleasant stay with the very friendly, helpful staffs. They are able to guide you in english. There is also a water dispenser at the lobby and the wifi was great.

Location is strategic for those from Seoul who travelled via Nopo Station where the city bus terminal located. This hotel is near in busan station exit 2 same red line w/Nopo. 8 min cross walk from station. Just go straight and cross, until you reach the “chicken & beer restaurant” continue straight the street, until you see “korean Air office” turn left and left again you will see the hotel. I booked for a double bed room, spacious for 2 people, my son loves it. Though the bed & pillows are hard, I still managed to sleep. Amenities are complete and generous, free flowing of bottled water, upon request, they were generously give you more than the 2 bottled free without hesitation. They clean the room and replace whys missing everyday! No in-room microwave but you can ask permission to use the microwave in their kitchen cafe at the lobby. Staffs tried their best to communicate in English, or hand gesture. They will tried their best to help what you need. Breakfast is 5,000 won per head but I don’t recommend it, it’s just bibimbap, bread and pineapple, I’d rather find a decent meal outside. But if you’re on a budget and hungry this is good buffet. We tried to ask for laundry service 5,000 won for a 4 day set of clothes per person or small bag. All they did was to washed and drain our clothes, knock on your door and give it back to you with racks to hang your clothes inside your room. That’s it! So the next day, I washed our clothes in the sink, used their very powerful body wash, and used their conditioner as fabric conditioner drain our clothes inside the bathroom and transfer in room, voila smells way better that their services. I just use hair dryer after a day to speed the drying time. There’s a lot of eateries on the other side of the streets, use underground to cross or exit 7 at busan station, there’s money changers also, walk a bit far and you will see choryang narket. It’s near everything there via subway, nearest lotte mall & supermarket is nampo, yongdusan

The hotel is just a few minutes from the exit 5 of Nampo subway station which facilitates easy access to places of interests and the airport. The Nampo shopping belt is also few steps away from the hotel. The room size is big enough for three of us though cigarette smell was felt when we stepped into the room which was supposed to be a non smoking room. We sprayed the air refreshes to get rid of the smell. Overall it was a good stay.

I had chosen to stay at GnB as it was a new hotel with a great location and good reviews. Things to consider when staying at this hotel would be the lack of English or any other language information about the room. Eg the Aircon was a bit of a guessing game. Also as other reviews say the Green running man signal is A4 size and lights up the room. An eye mask is a must if you don't like bright lights when you're trying to sleep. The light switches also took some playing around with until we realised how to work out the switches. Breakfast was an interesting combination but I think this hotel caters more to a Korean guest market. The staff however are fantastic and will go out of their way to help you. We were grateful to be able to check in to our room a couple hours early. And at the end of our stay one kind gentleman helped us wave down a taxi to take us to Busan port. It took about 10 minutes so we really appreciated his help! Overall I think this hotel is a great choice it just needs to perhaps have a guest information book in the room. I never did ask but I would be interested to know why that green running man sign is so large...Is that a building code requirement for new hotels perhaps? Also I recommend having a map printed with the address in Korean for taxi drivers so they can find the hotel.

The service provided was excellent throughout the stay. On our checkout day, before we left the hotel for breakfast, we asked the service staff for the best way to go to Yeosu from Busan. Despite the difficulty in communication, she tried her best to tell us whatever she knows. After we came back from breakfast, the service staff gave us a handwritten memo with all the bus timings that goes to Yeosu! It was a great help for us as we are able to plan our time accordingly with the bus timings given. *2 thumbs up* for the value-added service! The room is exactly what is shown in their photos and have all the basic amenities we need. It is clean and rather spacious despite us having 3 luggage with us. A downside of the room is that the mattress is too hard. The location is good, located just right at the foot of Yongdusan Tower. Because it is in Nampo-dong, we don't really have any trouble looking for food or shop around at night.

I was staying in Busan for 3 days. It was the best hotel stay during my 2 weeks in korea. NOTE: the staff do speak simple English and it’s good enough! Firstly I was served by Manager Min who remembered my name because I had to change my date for then hotel stay multiple times. I left my luggage at the hotel because the check in time is later. When arrived, the manager personally brought me to the nearby recommended restaurant for pork soup rice! It was amazing and he recommended places to visit in Busan! We came back at night and another staff was polite and help us. Even help us to order chicken! The customer service is amazing! During my checkout date we had to call a taxi. The staff helped us to call and even help us to carry our luggage! My room was fantastic, clean, modern and huge. The bathtub was the best! There is a computer in the room and you can do your surfing needed. The items provided include toothbrush, towel, shampoo, comb and etc. Really amazing. I recommend everyone to stay as it’s near the Busan tower, walkable to BIFF and the night market. Near jungang station as well! Nearby there’s many convenience store! I totally love this hotel and miss the staffs there.

It's definitely value for my money. It was as if I was staying in a 5-stars hotel. Which 2.5 stars hotel that can provide you with complimentary Starbucks coffee, Oreos cookies, soda drinks and juices? This hostel did. The room came in with a bath tub and a shower. And of course what stood out most was the high tech Japanese toilet. The location is strategic, close to eating places, shopping area and subway (junggang and Nampo). Busan station was just 5mins taxi ride. During your arrival, take a taxi because the hotel is right at a steep hill unless you have strong core to pull your heavy luggage. :) SOYU Hotel is highly recommended and you will not be disappointed.

Great. The staff was friendly, attentive, and eager to help. We were on the 15th floor and had an amazing view of the harbor and city. The hotel was super clean and well maintained. A/C worked but only marginally so room was a little warm at night. Could not have asked for a better location. Close to train station (walking distance), museums, harbor, parks, Busan Tower, etc. The Commodore has to be one of the best kept secrets in Busan. Would definitely stay there again. Very good value was an extra bonus.

We booked for 3 pax but was asked to add more payment for the 3rd person because according to staff price was only for 2. I expect agoda to put this during our final payment, however, we we're not asked during booking and was only informed in the hotel. We just paid for it since the staff is good and seems not aware of agoda policies. I hope agoda will arrange this with the hotel to avoid confusion with the guests. Anyway, though there are unfortunate events, I would still recommend this Hotel because they have good staffs and the place itself is very nice. The room is bigger than other hotels in South Korea. They also have free buffet breakfast that offers variety of food. The location is not along bus stations, need to walk for just 15 mins, still acceptable.

Other than its perfect location in Nampo (best place to shop in Busan in my opinion) - not right smack in the middle of the shopping area (less rowdy) yet just 1-2 min walk from the subway station - the place is always very clean and tidy (all thanks to the staff who clean the place everyday!). The staff provide great service, are very friendly and always answer our queries very promptly. The dining/lounge area is great for fellow travellers to hangout, with board games provided, television and even a massager for our tired legs. There is also a powder room that has a whole set of nail polish of different colours, makeup, hair curlers and hairdryers. Blueboat Hostel also has a very organised system with lockers for valuables and shoes, a pair of indoor slippers and card keys with trendy lanyards for each person. They even have guides to touring Busan in 4 different languages! Excellent choice of stay for anyone who wants to visit Busan! :)

Location is quite good, we can take Airport Limo from airport, but we can stop in front of this hotel, however the bus stop at main street, and it just take 3-5 minutes walk to this hotel. This hotel also near to subway (Nampo Station), also near to Lotte Department Store, where we can shop many things, for cheaper goods we can shop at Busan Underground Shopping Mall which also very near to this hotel, just walking to the direction to Busan Station or by subway just 1 stop

This is one of the best hostel i've been in Korea. They provide free breakfast and free use of washing machine and dryer machine. They do sell detergent for 1000won, which i still feel cheap as the machine used is free. The common room is on lower floor while female floor is on second floor, so it is quite and nice stay. I book the 4-bed with private bathroom, but only shower attached inside room and the toilet is still separate from the room. This hostel would be perfect if the toilet have bidet or other nearby water pipe. Other than that, the common room is shared / being used by restaurant below. So during lunch time you can't freely cook here. But afternoon after 3 or 4pm would be ok as they close the common area from the restaurant. Location wise, it bit far from subway station. But close to all the markets nearby, and you can explore by foot. Mark the place in map, and it is recommended to walk from Exit 7 Nampo Station.

We booked a total of 6 rooms and everyone of us was fascinated by its size, room layout, comfortable bed, heater on the bed, cleanliness, location and helpful smiley staff. Walking distance to Lotte department store , underground shopping and Nampo subway station. Yongdusan park is just next to the hotel. 10 mins walk to Jalghachi fish market, BIFF Square and bus stop to Taejondae park. Very helpful staff. The hotel provided free flow of coffee at the lobby, toiletries ire shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, hair dryer ... Nothing lacks. There is a Super big bath tub within the room too . Water pressure is good too for a good shower. Will return to stay here again

It’s located near the Busan Tower and traditional markets like Kukje and Jagalchi, if that’s your sort of thing. It’s also next to a row of trendy restaurants, which was a welcome surprise. It’s a bit far from the nearest subway station, which can be somewhat inconvenient when it’s hot or you are carrying luggage. One thing we found a bit odd was that we noticed during the middle of the night (when we had turned off the slightly noise airconditioning) that our window was not closed completely, and that we weren’t able to close it completely, even though we’re familiar with most types of windows and it basically seemed like most windows that you would see in modern buildings in Korea. Upon checkout, we mentioned this to the staff member at the counter, and he said that there was a “special switch” below the window that you have to push to get the windown to close properly. We didn’t feel like going back up to check on that, but it sounds rather silly even if true. Having to push a special switch to open a window might make sense (although not really), but the idea that you have to push a special switch to get the window to close properly sounds pretty ridiculous. And even if that were the case, they should have mentioned that to us when we checked in, or at least told the housekeeping staff to close the window after cleaning! Overall, the hotel is new and very clean, and the rooms and bathroom are spacious. But like many “boutique” hotels in Korea, you feel like the staff is mostly only willing to provide the bare minimum level of service for its guests.

Perfect location: close to Nampo subway, easy walk to Jagalchi fish market areas, on main cross roads for many buses, on just 1 block from shopping walks and food walks at Gwangbok areas, and right on the edge of Yongdusan park. Facility: modern, clean, adequate space, our room with double jacuzzi tub. Parkings on site. Equipped with neccessary amenities ...toner, moisturizer, shower towel, et. Just kind of different....small hotel entrance in parking area. Staff are friendly. Limited staff with English language. Though we had no problem in communication with staff via spoken or body language. Breakfast is fairly simple...toast, jam, bananas, cup of noodles, hard boiled eggs, and good coffee. Space for eating is very limited. Very choice if you have discount price.

We stayed at Hotel Marcher for a night last Feb. 26. We booked for a Standard Double and a Premier Suite which are both fantastic. The guy at the front desk is very approachable and hospitable. He speaks and understand a decent amount of English. He also assisted us in opening our baggage (my mom unfortunately lost the lock's key) He always smiles and answers all our queries politely. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would probably stay again in our next visit.

First experience for the booking was great, they were able to reply to our request fast, stayed there for 3 nights, the room size is just nice and it was clean, they provide breakfast, have bread, milk, cereal, orange drink, cup noodle, coffee, and it’s definitely value for money for the price you paid. Near to Nampo Station, and many attractions nearby, Busan Tower and Yongdusan Park is behind the hotel, and we take taxi to Gamcheon Culture Village which only cost around 4000+ KRW. Although the hotel don’t have lift, on arrival, the staff helped to carry our luggage to our room, and they can speak English well. Will stay here if I visit Busan next time. Highly recommended.!

I had 4 nights in Apply Guesthouse and this is the best experience i ever had. the guest house was super clean and new that is over my expectation and it is so near to the shopping area - nampo-dong night market. subway station is just right in front of the building. It is nice to travel when subway is near the place you stayed so you get to travel many places and drag your tired body back and lied on the bed immediately after a whole day of walked. The staff was friendly and helpful although they don't speak prefect english but they will tried their best to fulfill your requirement and answer all your question. Jalgaji fish market is just behind the building and you get to tried fresh sashimi.
