Very close to bus terminal”
i have been to thailand for about 17 previous times in the last 12 years (mostly in bangkok) and stayed in 4 different accommodations in phuket. i choose lub sbuy for its location: near the bus terminal in phuket town. we travelled by train from and to bangkok, but the train only stop at surat thani and from there you need to take a bus to get to phuket. lub sbuy is a 1 minute walk away from the bus terminal. from lub sbuy it is a 10-15 walk to a big shopping centre and all known international food outlets as well as local dining. clothing outlets are found along the road with very good prices. with a taxi or motorbike “taxi” the centre is 3 minutes and cost you only about thb20 (but this need to be negotiated) as with various other accommodations on the islands no elevators and stairs is the only option to and from the room. the room were nice, clean and equipped with newish linen, we had an open outside balcony were we could hang clothes that we needed to wash. we had it bad as our aircon that also seem to be newish break down, water were leaking and the floor were quickly under water, they were fully booked and the only room that they could move us to were a room with no windows. as we already washed our clothes this were not a viable option as it would not be dried in the morning if we need to hang them in a bathroom and we were also already unpacked. the technician was busy for quite a while. after pressuring them a few times to receive a free late check out they unwillingly agreed to it. if it were not for the unfortunate aircon that decided to break the stay would be flawless (accept for the stairs we need to take (and nobody to help getting the luggage up or down).

Perfect location, clean and comfortable”
we booked for one night on arrival into phuket based upon leaving by bus again the following day. check in was simple - just hand in your agoda voucher and you get your key. we are familiar with thailand so didn't require much interaction with the reception staff though they had smiles enough as we passed by! the hotel exceeded our expectations - it was clean and comfortable and the bed was comfy, which was perfect after a long flight! we stayed on the 2nd floor at the front and were not bothered at all by road noise - our balcony even allowed us to enjoy the balmy evening and watch the street activities. it is ideally located only a couple of minutes walk from the bus station where there are also plenty of food stalls in the morning and daytime, plus at night right outside there is a place to eat the dishes up great noodle soup! there are night markets are about two blocks away, with further morning and night markets another block on - an easy walk, less than 10 minutes. we stayed at another guest house on the way back through phuket as it was already booked, but would have been very happy to stay at lub sbuy again. it is a completely suitable choice for a day or two's stay in phuket though it is not a town we would spend much time in as for us it is a transit point.

Clean, comfortable and excellent value for money”
I was really pleasantly surprised with Lub Sbuy. Please note that if you are arriving by BUS /COACH then they stop at PHUKET TERMINAL 2 which is 200 Baht away by TukTuk! Despite this the staff were great, kind and very helpful with changing the remote for the A/C, supplying extra pillows and also gave us the Agoda price for staying on for another 2 days when we realsed we had to stay for meetings. If you want a taxi then ask for Jimmy (081 693 3927), excellent driver, kind and helpful and only 600 to the airport at 4am! I would highly recommend renting a bike from Lub Sbuy and not from the nearby places. I used K.B. (Baw) near the 7Eleven and he tried to rip me off for 200Baht for replacing the damaged key that he gave me in the first place! Thanks Lub Sbuy, see you next time!

Standard room with huge balcony!”
The thing about visiting Phuket is that you might want to decide if you want to sight-see the old town around the City of Phuket or if you want to do the activities at the beach because these two are pretty far from each other. If you are visiting the city, i recommend you stay in the city area. Lub Sbuy is not far from the touristic spots. It's walkable. It's not right in the center but to get quite big room with spaces to move around and balcony to chill-out, Lub Sbuy is the best choice.

Great value hotel”
we originally planned to stay at lub sbuy for six days, but ended up staying there for three weeks because of the flooding situation in central thailand. we liked the hotel a lot, especially considering the low price. the staff is great and the rooms are very clean and well maintained. the location is convenient in central phuket town, right next to the bus station. have some great restaurants right outside the hotel and nearby.

Pleasant stay in Lub Sbuy”
I had a great time in Lub Sbuy Hostel. It was quite spacious for the price we paid and it is convenient as it is within walking distance to many attractions such as the Sunday night market. The massage they offer in Lub Sbuy House was great as well we still can enjoy discounted price although we stayed in Lub Sbuy Hostel. Overall it was a great experience and pleasant stay with comfortable bed and room.

central hotel, great for stopovers”
We made a stopover in Phuket to catch teh bus the following day to Khao Sok and chose to stay at Lub Sbuy GH for that matter. The hotel is situated close to the busstation, which was very convenient for us. The personel was very friendly and the rooms spacious, modern and very clean. The GH also offers the opportunity to rent scooters for an affordable price. We rented one for 720 Baht for 4 days. All in all we were very satisfied with our stay there.

Great Guesthouse”
The Lub Sbuy Guest House was one of the nicer hostel/guest houses I've stayed in while living and traveling in Thailand. Phuket Town is sort of a sleepy, boring little town, but not a bad choice for an overnight stay on your way from the airport to the islands. Lub Sbuy was clean, comfortable, and well maintained.

Clean and nice place”
I stayed just for 1 night in 6 bed dormitory. Everything was clean, the bed, sheets and whole room. Also, whole building looks very nice. The shared bathroom was clean and there was soap and shampoo too. At the reception they speak english. Also, wifi is free of charge. Lub Sbuy is near to bus station, just a minute of walking away. This bus station is just for the buses that are going short distances. I was suppose to go to Krabi next morning, and I took a Pink bus from this bus station to main terminal (ride costs only 10 bahts, so it was a nice and easy way to reach main bus terminal. Also, near Lub Sbuy is a 7/11 store, so it's one more plus for this place. I didn't hear any music from the nearby night club. My stay in this place was very pleasant.

Great Location with clean and tidy room”
We had spent 2 night at Lub Sbuy Guest House, the room was excellent which was clean, tidy and quiet after 10pm. What a great location in the central of Phuket town, it is pretty convenience as besides the guest house there's 7-11 store. Suggest: if you wanna take some travel packages to go to phi phi island or others, phuket town is a good choice, as you can enjoy cheaper price than beachside. you may rent motocycle with the guest house as well. Will definately choose to stay here again whenever we come back to phuke town.

Very pleasant, clean hotel for a quiet stay”
Lub Sbuy is perfect for a quiet and relaxed stay and ideal if you are spending a night or two in Phuket town before taking a bus to another part of Thailand (it is right beside the main bus terminal). The rooms are very spacious and clean and our double room had a balcony and ensuite bathroom. The staff were there 24 hours and gave us lots of help. Improvements that could be made are free internet (you needed to pay something like per hour) and a common room or bar area for meeting fellow travellers. Overall a very convenient and pleasant stay in Phuket town.

great stay. phuket town is good for a night or two but not much longer. lug sbuy was great though, had to do some printing and photocopying which the front desk was able to help us with. also they were able to direct us to places we wanted to visit. location is good within phuket town, but i'd suhect heading to karon beach for actual phuket life.

Very Comfortable Guest House”
i spent 2 nights in this guest house. i really late check in because my flight to phuket delayed, but they still keep the room for me. the guest staff are helpfull, they care when my tourist agent to phiphi island late picked up me. we could leave our backpack in this guest house till night althought we had been checked out in the morning. same with the guest house name lub sbuy, its mean sleep n rleax, i had a good sleep and always relax there :). ots easy to find the guest house, only 2 minutes walking from phuket terminal.

If you enjoy quiet and relax life in the town ”
more tips. we recommend the following places. for eating, uptown restaurant, or market. walk out of the hotel and turn right, turn left on the first traffic light, walk straight and you can see the restaurant in the next traffic light. it closed every wednesday and every 17-19 (not sure). so, good luck. the girl with a pda is very nice and she can speak fluent english, she knows more words about food than us. you pay 40-60b on average on each meal. drinks are nice and cheap, shakes are good. for massage, turn right when you see uptown. you will first see a shop selling fruit, nice people there too. look left you can see shino spa. we went there twice a week. and the body and shoulders, foot massage, are good. travel tips. bus is cheap, if you have money, skip this. there are bus 1 close to the road where 7-11 located. you can see the banner, a pink one. it can take u to the market, see view point, central festival, and other places. airport bus, it's in the bus terminal and it takes u to air port for 85b. more, it takes u to other places too, such as central. and it runs very late. get a timetable from lub sbuy. well, enjoy your stay!

Great value with all the comforts”
We found Lub Shuy absolutely perfect for our needs for a short term stop over in Phuket town. The decor is great as it is fairly new and modern. It is just around the corner from the bus station...perfect for our early morning departure to Ko phangan...500 baht each. The street restaurant food right outside the door was fabulous and cheap... 50baht. Reception was able to guide us to all the shops we needed to find for our travel purchases..all in walking distance..esp Robinsons Supermarket & Dept Store. We were on the ground floor in an aircon room and the wireless internet was great altho you had to sign in every hour .

Lovely hostel and super clean”
even only one day but i love stayed at lub sbuy guest house, the standard room is very clean and friendly staffs. there was no lift but thats not a big problem. since i arrived around 10.00 pm so its a bit difficult to find a food especially i am a muslim, but fortunately there was 7 eleven store near lub sbuy, so i could get some food. overall i was satisfied stay at lub sbuy.

If you have a morning flight from Phuket and want to have sight-seeing or shopping in Phuket town the day before your flight, it is a good choise to stay in Lub Sbuy for one night. The room is comfortable enought for packbackers, thought it is a little noiscy for near the road.

Right around the corner from the bus station”
The Len Sbuy guest house is located right around the corner from the Phuket town bus station which saves you a taxi ride after you get off the bus from bangkok. The guest house is brand new and super clean, but while we were there they were having trouble with their internet. They have really hot water but it is in limited supply. Overall a nice place and good value for the price, especially if you factor in that staying there after you get off the buss will save you an expensive taxi ride. Fridge in room and shopping and restaurants near by, I recomend the Uptown, it is just around the corner on the way to the expo shopping center.

if you want to go old town,LUB Sbuy is good choice to stay and save money. At morning you can enjoy simple to go TIMSUM "Bunyarat" just accross street and go to right way..about 300-500 M. it's good taste and not expensive.

Great for a couple of nights... but not four”
I booked with Agoda, one double and one twin. When I arrived I found that all the twin rooms are in the centre of the building and don't have windows. I ended up swapping the twin for two doubles and paid the extra so that we could all have natural light. I ended up in room 304 which had a smell like mild halitosis that wasn't removed by opening the window or running the aircon. Some of the other rooms on the third floor also had it. The staff said someone had been smoking in the centre windowless room, which I accepted for the first night but didn't believe after four nights. One day I returned to the room to find it hadn't been cleaned and the hotel struggled to find me fresh towels. I was left with the impression a daily clean is optional on their part. Also I found many hairs that weren't my own... but shiny tiled floors are unforgiving in this regard though they felt great underfoot. The bed was cosy as were the pillows, and I liked the decor of the room. The shower was a torrent of water - great but not necessarily hot which you don't care about in the Phuket heat. I appreciated the two ½ litre bottles of water left in the fridge daily. The rear balcony only looked out on the rear of the buildings at the back and didn't really entice me to sit out. An equivalent room at the front looked out on the busy road, obscured somewhat by the dense mass of power cables that line the street. The staff were friendly enough though some struggled with English - but why should I assume all hotel staff speak my language? I chose this hotel for the price as I was paying for four people for four nights. We chose Phuket town rather than a beach resort as the guides suggested it's easier to get everywhere from there Which is true. However, if I was planning to stay in Phuket town again, I would get a hotel with a good pool to offer a break from the bustle of the town itself. For the price I can't complain about the Lub Sbuy but four nights was too long.
