Booked the single room for 3 nights. You can get there via underground straight to the hotel (escalators available) or above-ground (flat ground). Highly recommend as hotel is easy to locate and right at the station. Perfect to navigate to Shinkanse and local train and bus lines.

It looks like they have more Chinese tourists. So most of the facilities and restaurant is more suited to Chinese tourists. Otherwise the hotel is okay but nothing great

The hotel is right across Kyoto station which makes it so easy to spot (you won't miss the tower). The rooms are also airy and larger than the usual rooms we've stayed at in Japan.

It is located inside nidec kyoto tower, hotel reception is at 8th floor. The hotel is within walking distance to kyoto station (where one can easily use JR lines, bus station, metro lines). In addition, there is a food court next to the hotel, you can easily get food for lunch and dinner. The kyoto station opposite the hotel also has a lot of souvenirs shops and places selling food.

The staff wasn't welcoming at all, at least the male staff. The hallways were dirty. The room was OK, but no power plugs near to the bed. The room was very poorly sound insulated, so I woke up at 2:00 due to some construction work being done in the street outside. Very thin walls, you can hear everything happening in the neighboring rooms. Won't stay here again.

This is a great location for a first visit to Kyoto. Such easy access to the JR lines and subways that made getting around the city easy. Just realize that most things are a ride away.

Stay here for it's promixity to train station, can easily access to eating places in the mall. Disappointed that there's no onsen.

I really love the location. Just outside the hotel is the Kyoto Station. The room is very spacious. But only basic toiletries. No toothbrush.

The power socket plug is less , so that is abit hard to manage use the electronic devices in same times . Environment are good and room is clean , near the station so no need to worry carrying the lugguage .The Staff is friendly

We book a room of 3 and it was really great with 3 single beds and view was nice. We stored our luggage earlier and upon check in, was surprised that our luggage was actually put in our room already. Very excellent service. The location was convenient located opposite the train station. Will come back again.

This was a small hotel and the room was small but just what I needed. It’s a 9 minute walk from the Kyoto station. They had a breakfast bar in the mornings. There were markets near by and small restaurants. My only concern was the air conditioning. It was warm and I like to sleep in a cooler room, I was able not lower it. I was too tired each night to call someone to come have a look at it. Would recommend.

Perfect location. Right across the train and bus station and discount to Kyoto tower. Great breakfast and clean rooms. They keep our luggage but when we came back and check in, our room is ready and our luggage are already in the room. Pretty awesome.

Very old, very very busy, dirty, smallest room, No amenities (no water, no microwave, no facemask, no bath towels, MOST BATH AMENITIES ARE NOT PROVIDED)

The location is excellent, with lots of dining and shopping possibilities nearby. The bathroom is a bit outdated, but still functional.

It’s a good choice, if you want to ask the negative, I would say the toiletries you need to get from the hotel lobby but it’s also environmentally friendly. There is vending machine on our room floor but a bit expensive, there is also laundry but it’s very expensive compared to other hotel/location. Overall I would recommend this hotel and book here again in the future.

Room is spacious enough to accommodate 3pax with extra sofa bed. Unlike typical Japan hotel which is quite small, we can still open 3 big luggages in the room.

The only thing good about this hotel is the location. The toilet was disgusting — there was a lingering smell even after cleaning. The tiles had shoe marks from previous travellers. We requested to change rooms and it was the same. For the price you pay, you can get a much better hotel elsewhere. Avoid 🤢

“Hotel is nice”
Stayed here 10 years ago. Many things have changed. Front desk is on the 8th floor now. 1st floor is shops (use to be on basement level). Basement level has a lot of restaurants. Visiting the tower takes separate elevators. Rooms don't have amenities in them but are plenty by the front desk. Rooms are clean but a little dated. Location is great, across the street from Kyoto Station. Breakfast buffet was good, but fills up fast. Overall a nice place to stay for a couple days.

As you mentioned there are lots of changes in property. We are doing new initiative every time. Recently we have started Towerland, a place for barbeque food and bar. We are getting good response for Towerland as well. We would also like to say sorry for little updated room because of old building structure.
