    “Very kids friendly ”

We have selected this ryokan because of its dinner buffet option (instead of the usual keiseki dinner at other hotels) because we are travelling with young children and buffet has plenty of options for them. My child and baby ate heartily for the 2 nights that we stayed. Even though the hotel has 7 private onsen and 2 public onsen (free to use) for guests, I booked the room with private onsen in our room for its convenience as we have a baby. Room was super spacious and a really comfortable stay. Will highly recommend it for families.

    “Very good Ryokan”

Luckily theirs is excellent public transportation in Japan because this Ryokan is a little bit out of the way. My daughter and I were the only Westerners, all the other guests were Japanese. We took the public bus from the Shuzenji Station and the very kind lady working at the station told me where to get off. From the bus stop you still have to walk about 5 minutes. We enjoyed the private onsens. My daughter will not get on public onsens so she enjoyed the privacy. The only bad thing was that in the middle of the night a felt a bug crawling. Indeed, there was a black little bug. I don’t think it was any kind of bed bug. I think those bugs are everywhere because on the way back to Tokyo I saw another one on the Shinkansen. Overall, this Japanese style hotel is very nice and clean. Don’t say here if you are use to wester style room. Staff was amazing as is the norm in Japan. The town was dead at night.

    “Excellent”

I booked two Japanese-style rooms with open-air baths for two nights (four adults including my parents in law), and everything exceeded expectations. The rooms were spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly relaxing. The buffet dinner and breakfast were excellent with plenty of variety. One of the standout features is the seven different private onsens — each one fantastic in its own way. The hotel is spotless, well-presented, has strong Wi-Fi, and offers a truly peaceful atmosphere. Highly recommended.
