I used the Itoen Hotel at Atagawa for the first time. The parking attendants and front desk staff were very friendly. They changed my parking spot to one near the front desk when they saw my father in a wheelchair, and the female staff at the front desk checked if it was possible to change our room upon learning about the wheelchair situation. Unfortunately, it was not possible since it wasn't noted at the time of booking, but they were very kind in their efforts. Thank you very much. What was disappointing was that when I requested a private outdoor bath around 15:10, it was fully booked. Even though check-in was from 15:00, it was somehow already full. However, with dinner and breakfast included, the price was very reasonable. For my family, who cannot afford a luxurious trip, it was the best experience. Next time, I want to inform them in advance that we will be coming with a wheelchair. Although the detached area is a bit away, I thought it would be good to consider ventilation since the COVID-19 situation has started to become a concern.
We requested a Japanese-style room because we have children, and it was spacious and comfortable with beautiful tatami mats. The view of the sea outside the window was also great. The hot spring was nice, but it might be too hot for the children. There wasn't anything particularly bad, but if I had to mention something, the hotel itself is old, and there were dead insects like stag beetles and cicadas in the hallway from outside. Some of the long-used facilities, like the lockers by the pool, were broken and remained that way. That's about it.
When I arrived at the inn, my impression was that it was old and small, and I felt a bit uneasy about it. However, once I went inside, it was surprisingly clean and more than adequate! In the large bath, there were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, and to be honest, the toilet and bath in the room weren't very clean, but other than that, I was satisfied! The nearby sea had clear water and beautiful sand, and I would like to go again!

“I am not shown to my room at check-in time.”
I wanted to relax at the hotel and arrived at the check-in time. After completing the procedures, I was informed that the room wasn't ready. They announced over the intercom that they would call us in order. The lobby was crowded with people. While wandering around, I found a shared karaoke room and decided to wait there. After putting my luggage in the room, I planned to walk to the Banana Croc Garden, but since I wasn't shown to my room at all, I had to wait, and I was eventually shown to my room at 16:30. I spent an hour and a half idly during check-in. The closing time of the Banana Croc Garden was also approaching, so I couldn't go. It seemed that the cleaning wasn't finished; it was the first time I experienced such a hotel. I wonder if it's not common to prepare on time. Dinner was a buffet. There were some decent dishes, but I wouldn’t say it was good. The alcohol was all-you-can-drink, but I wanted to drink Calpis chūhai, and after checking twice, it hadn't been refilled. There were two hot spring baths available, but one of them was missing the skincare products that should have been there. Men’s bath and the other place had those, so it might have been a preparation oversight. Breakfast was also a buffet. It might have been better than dinner. Considering the waiting time since check-in, I don't think I'll be returning a second time.
