"Brilliant location very close to the station on the quieter side of town. Exquisitely designed and finished in contemporary Japanese style. Best bed we have ever slept on. We had the rear garden room which was very quiet and private. Staff were absolutely delightful, warm and incredibly helpful. Fantastic French/Japanese fusion restaurant right next door and other little local dining haunts close by, laundromat and gourmet supermarket 150m away. A true boutique hotel experience which we recommend in a heartbeat. And make sure you buy bread or pastries from the fabulous Marché while you are in town. "

"I think Togetsutei Hotel is excellent, the service is excellent and the meal is great, but cannot expect a "all you can eat" quantity, but still, I think is good enough for a normal dinner. staffs can speak simple English. However, the room is not the type of room that I expected when I do the booking through Agoda, the information from Agode is not accurate and not details enough, the actual bathroom is different from the photo of the bathroom that I see when I did the booking through Agoda. This is the only thing that I don't feel good at all and there is nothing to do with Togetsutei Hotel, just Agoda need to improve the way to book this kind of Japanese onsen ryokan and I was disappointed by Agoda."

"This hotel has a pleasant, open, airy feel - sort of modern and slightly industrial but clean. Our room was spacious, complete with a kitchenette, round dining table, and three comfy low beds. The separate rooms for the tub, toilet, and sink with mirrors/outlets make it easy for one person to bathe while someone else does their hair, brushes their teeth, etc. if you are traveling in a group like we were. Overall you get a peaceful suburban feeling paired with the convenience of a quick walk to Hankyu Arashiyama station."
