"Pro: it’s situated up the hill with Mr Fuji view, very quiet place with onsen. Shuttle bus is provided from hotel to Shuzenji Station and to a bus stop of about 1km yon Shuzenji onsen, with a nice walk up to ume grove and maple forrest. Con: slightly pricey if you are staying alone. Time for shuttle should be provided in English too. I mistook a shuttle 1415hrs which is notbdaily from station to hotel and waited for more than 1 hour "

"Visiting Shuzenji is always a pleasure. This was my first time staying at this hotel, though I have been to others in town. It was a pleasant place to be. Slightly away from the core, it was a very short walk along the river into town. The more unusual aspect of this was that you had to book your time into the hotsprings. This meant that you had a private bath time in the outdoor hotsprings. At the end of the day, this was a real luxury. (I didn't visit the Caves or the Public Baths, but those were also an option) "
