The room I stayed in for 5 nights was excellent. It was classed as deluxe double room B, and was large, with enough drawer and hanging space to allow me to completely unpack for my stay. The bed was big and very comfortable, some kind of spring with memory foam, I think. There was a mini fridge, with nothing in it, but very useful to store milk for tea and coffee. The...

It's a brand new 5 star hotel (opened in September 2017). The location is just perfect for us as we had gotten the hotel to make most of our restaurants reservations, mostly around the GION district area. Quite a number of sightseeing places (famous Shrines & Temples) are within walking distance. It is especially good for us as we can walk off the calories after our l...

We were so glad to have found this hotel near Kyoto Station. We were able to book a huge room compared to others in Japan. The hotel even offered us a bus to drop off at Kyoto favorite tourist places. We will stay here next time we are in Kyoto.

Recently stayed at the RIHGA Royal Hotel while visiting Kyoto and had a lovely stay. I had booked my accommodation through AGODA and was pleasantly surprised to be told that when I checked in that I had been upgraded to a suite, which was simply wonderful. First time I've ever stayed in a suite and the experience was terrific. Had so much room to move around in and ...

This hotel is located directly across theroad from the main Kyoto railway station. It is linkked tot he subway system and is less than a one miute walk from the main bus station - which offers buses to all the major attractions. There is a shoping mall under the hotel in which can be found many reasonably priced restaurants. My hotel room was clean, of a good size a...

It's a very charming hotel, near Kyoto St. (crossing the street from the South/West exit, it will take you less than 5 min walking). The standard room it's a bit small, but very comfortable and also had a very nice balcony. They offered us a ¥1,000 upgrade (that made it up for the room size). I love the design of the public spaces at the lobby, the restaurant/terrace ...

loved this hotel. perfect location for staying in neighborhood or as a jumping off point. rooms are a bit small for 3 but the bathroom is soooo wonderful. one problem: there are 3 hotels near kyoto station named daiwa roynet so be sure to go to the right one!

Specifically booked this hotel due to its proximity to Kyoto Station. Just across the road in fact. Was pleasantly surprised that it is not only near to Kyoto Station, but it is also situated on the JR station side, which means we do not have to walk the length of the station to get to the Shinkansen station to Tokyo. Best located (for my purpose) hotel for me and my s...

Stayed four nights in early June. Perfect location adjacent to Kyoto railway station. Lots of dining options in the area. Also extremely convenient to getting around town to see sites. Room was a little small but quite adequate, clean and well supplied. Despite our window looking directly out onto the train tracks noise was not an issue - very good window insulati...

First of all, I definitely would not rate this as a 4-star hotel. However, as a 3-star (like most other hotel websites do), I can defintiely give a 5-star rating. I only stayed here for one night when I took a day trip to Kyoto from Tokyo. The room is small (which is fairly standard in Japan) but I felt that they have put a lot of thought into the layout. Not an inch o...

the hotel hokke club is ideally situated opposite the kyoto railway station, however it is a little difficult to find tucked in between buildings with a narrow entrance. although the rooms are small, they have all that is needed and they are modern, neet and clean. desppite the location the hotel is very quiet and the service is excellent. the reception staff meet any ...

we loved staying at the kyoto brighton hotel. the room we stayed in was a double room and it was very spacious. the bathroom is very big, we enjoyed taking showers there. the rooms are clean and comfortable. the neighborhood is quite which was nice. the concierge was very helpful, they helped us book our restaurants, printed out maps and ordered our meals in advanc...

Joking in the title aside, Hotel Anteroom Kyoto was a refreshing change from the already-excellent hotels I've stayed at until this point during my first trip to Japan. Some solo travellers may find the single room to be too small for their liking - I'll admit that my room was a bit cramped, but given how beautiful Kyoto is, as a small base to take a break at once or ...

We found the Kyoto Tokyu Hotel was an amazing hotel to spend 7 nights. My daughter and I felt like royalty from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Most staff spoke some English. There is an English speaking person to help organise tours and transfers if you need help. Room service left our room spotless every day. The area in which the Hotel is located is awa...

Stayed 3 nights in this hotel on a recent sightseeing trip to Kyoto with my wife and 10 year old son. Although we only booked a double room, I mentioned that I was travelling with my son and the hotel thoughtfully provided a room with 3 single beds at no extra charge. The hotel is quite new and very clean and well decorated. Beds were comfortable with a choice of diffe...

The hotel was new, which meant the facilities were new too. Love their hot spring, and their complimentary coffee served from morning till night (8pm or so) - it was really good ice coffee. We booked their Twin Rooms, and was only in Kyoto for 3 days. So we travelled light. The rooms maybe a little small if you have big luggages like the 29 inch type. Huge toilets, gl...

This hotel is very good value for money, it is conveniently placed across the street from Kyoto Railway Station. They will take your laundry but there is also a small laundry room with two washers and dryers so you can do it yourself. (Make sure you clean the lint from the dryers though!). The staff were courteous and helpful, and they will sell you a 500 Yen day pass ...

I was a solo traveller first time in Kyoto. This hotel is in a excellent location, only 1 stop from the main part of town on the Hankyu line and right at the terminal stop of the shijo-omiya electric line which goes to a lot of tourist sites. The bonus is you can even take the Hankyu line all the way to Osaka which is a 40-45 minute rude for only 400 yen. Although the ...

I had initially booked another hotel but only managed to get one day. The 2-5 day were spent at CMM. My advice is to take the Kansai airport bus (not the subway) to kyoto if your destination is Kyoto as last stop is situated about 200m from CMM. Once you alight from the bus, make a left turn and walk about 150m or so then make a right. Another about 100m you will ...

My brother-in-Iaw recommended this to us. I got this as a last minute deal and we were not disapponted! We got the room with 3 beds and an extra bed since we were 4. The room was big (37sqm) and beds could still fit 2 persons. Having 1 bed each was a joy! The location was so convenient, just across the Kyoto Station, which you can reach by crossng the road or passing ...

We stayed at the Sakura Terrace Hotel in Kyoto during the busy last week of November 2013. We paid US$160 per night, without breakfast, but it should be about half that during off-peak periods. The hotel opened in October 2013. It is conveniently located one subway stop south of Kyoto station, with the Kujo station exit right in front of the hotel entrance. Alternative...

Advantage : cheap , clean , laundry service provide for free and smartphone tourist guide for free (but I didn’t use because I can use my own handphone to search as well) , shuttle bus service is free (but this is not provide from the hotel to the tourist spot because you have to go Kyoto station they will only pick you up there so I rather go tourist spot by own trans...

Reception staff specially the young man very kind, good speaking & friendly, the hotel near kyoto station just only 5 mins walk, Lawson is nearby hotel, n the room even is small but their amenities is completely like 5 star hotel, during my stay 3 days 2 nights, breakfast almost the same & f&b staff should be more improve their attitude Cz thy never will welcome their ...

It was the BEST hotel around the giyomizudera and sannenzaka. Everything was clean and you can use the laundry machine, kitchen in your room. To the Yasaka jinja, it's 10 minutes by walking. I would definately stay here again if I go to kyoto next time.
