The location is very convenient, near the Omiya Station of the subway. The room is clean and tidy, and there are also multiple bus stops nearby. Basically, all the important tourist attractions in Kyoto can be reached by bus, so there is no need to worry. Although there is currently no 1-day bus pass, the subway and bus 1-day pass for 1100 yen is also recommended to buy. If you take the bus more than 5 times a day, it is very cost-effective.

The accommodation is very clean and the room size is just right. It is located near the train station and the surrounding area is not a tourist destination, which makes it very peaceful and enjoyable. However, it is easy to take the train to nearby tourist attractions, such as only 2 stations away from the Gion district. The food around the accommodation is also very good. 👍🏻💕💕💕💕

Convenient and modern hotel with small but usable rooms. ”
I've stayed in this place several times since it opened. This time I booked many months in advance and got a great price a fraction of what's being currently asked. Check-in is quite a personable experience -- the hotel staff will explain the cleaning arrangements, the non-smoking policy, etc. One change here is that management has turned what was the breakfast room into a kind of casual dining room where you can have breakfast or other meals that you assemble from pastries etc from the hotel shop or local convenience stores I personally prefer the breakfasts at favourable 'morning service' prices at local cafes. The building is fairly new, the elevators are quick and have OK security (swipe your card in order to access your floor). The room is tiny, but modern and well designed. Just accept the fact that there's very little space for luggage (my roll-aboard fits between the end of my bed and the window, but if I want anything out of it, I have to open it on the bed). Location from my point of view is pretty good: I'm here to visit family who are just a bus-ride away, and there's the added advantage that the local area is not totally overrun by tourists, as many parts of Kyoto are. It's close to Umiya station on the subway system, which doesn't work all that well (two different subway operators requiring a change of train even between Shijo-Umiya and Kyotoa station)but does provide easy access to Osaka. For me, the location's main advantage is that it is at the convergence of many bus routes, and so is easily accessible from/to Kyoto station and the main tourist attractions. By the way, if Kyoto station is your main entry/exit point for Kyoto, and you have a lot of luggage, take a taxi. It doesn't cost the earth and it spares local people who commute on jam-packed buses and who every day have to put up with selfish travellers with crazy-big bags. I wish the Kyoto government would just outlaw big bags on buses, but in the meantime – just don't do it. You'll be helping make Kyoto a much better place.

HOTEL: When you check-in, you got to pay a additonal tax of 400¥ per night which might surprise many of you. The room includes a fridge, tv, pajamas and slippers. You need to go to the lobby to retrieve toothbrush, washcloth, razor and comb. Hotel only clean the rooms on the every 3rd days of your stay, so if you are staying for 3 days + 2 nights, your room won't be cleaned, but hotel will change the towels and clear the rubbish daily. There is also a large common area on the first floor with microwave and hot & cold drinking machine. The coffee machine is free but you need to purchase a cup is 100¥ near the reception area. Hotel has a "store" where you can buy coffee, potato chips, and packaged pastries for 100¥ each. At 2nd level, there is coin-operated laundry room. A total of 3 washing machines and 3 dryers. Each washing cost 400¥ for 30mins. Dryer cost 200¥ for 30mims, but it depend the amount of clothing and the type of clothes. You may need to go for 1hr (400¥) or 1.5hrs (600¥) for the drying. Remember to keep lots of 100¥ coin for washing machine and vending machines. Hotel provide Free Wifi with password. TRANSPORTATION: A subway station, tram station and many bus stops nearby with 3mins walk to many tourist spots. Take the Randen tram to Arashiyama directly. Take the subway or bus to Gion area. I alao like to recommend taking the bus service 06 and 206 citybus from Kyoto station to the hotel directly without transfer. FOODS & DRINKS: Hotel itself has no restaurant. Plenty of restaurants, fast food outlets and convenience stores within walking distance. Such as, Seven Eleven, Lawson, Family Mart, McDonald's, Lotteria, pharmacy and LIFE Supermarket.
