I visited Mokpo for a family trip and stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Although it is somewhat far from downtown Mokpo, it is only about a 15-minute drive, so it wasn't too inconvenient. In fact, the surrounding area was quiet and peaceful, making it suitable for family trips. The view from the room was excellent, which also increased our satisfaction. Since it was a weekday before the peak season, the room condition was great for the price, and the hotel had an overall classic atmosphere with plenty of space, allowing us to stay comfortably. There were a few minor inconveniences during our stay, but when I mentioned them to the front desk, they responded quickly, and it was resolved pleasantly. Overall, I can recommend this accommodation for those who want to stay leisurely in a quiet environment.
Mokpo is my second trip. While looking for a decent accommodation to stay with my family, the Hyundai Hotel Byrahan caught my eye. It's somewhat secluded compared to other hotels in Mokpo, but the price is cheaper than other 4-star hotels and the facilities looked good, so I booked it. After actually staying there, I found the facilities to be clean, and most importantly, I could enjoy the sunrise if I woke up early due to the beautiful sea-view surroundings. Additionally, the cold pig's trotters I had at the restaurant tasted great, which made me feel good!
Hotel Hyundai by Lahan Mokpo was a great stay. The location was a little far from the main tourist area (about a 15 minute drive), but it was alright with a car. There was plenty of free parking. The staff were friendly and even recommended us to watch the sunrise at the top floor of the hotel. The hotel was pretty clean and kept well, although the rooms were a bit dated. The hotel lobby was kept well with a bakery/cafe conveniently located.

The hotel is situated way off centre Mokpo, but next to a big shipyard, so it has pretty awesome industrial-romantic vibe. We had a sea view and it is highly recommendable. All staffs were really kind and professional. Breakfast was above average. The hotel is not new, so there is certainly wear and tear, BUT well maintained and clean!!! Better than numerous wannbe-fancy-hotels decorated with tasteless cheap interiors.

If you are traveling with family to Mokpo, I highly recommend this accommodation. Especially if you have young children, I recommend it even more (there is a pool and breakfast buffet available). The only downside is that the location is a bit far from downtown Mokpo, but it's not too far, only about a 20-minute drive, so if you're coming by car, it shouldn’t be too inconvenient. There is a convenience store inside the hotel. (It can be used unmanned at night) The size of the accommodation is great for the price, making it very comfortable to use. Although the furniture and facilities are somewhat outdated, they are well maintained and clean. The front desk and staff are overall very friendly.
