Great experience ”
After visiting more than ten similarly priced hostels in chiang Mai, here’s why I chose to extend my stay at Hostel by BED. Hostel by bed is clean, comfortable, and situated in a very convenient location inside the old city. All of the staff are incredible, and go out of their way to make sure that you’re comfortable. The entire place is constantly being cleaned and maintained. The bathrooms are nice, showers are outstanding, and the laundry machines are inexpensive. Management goes out if it’s way to reduce costs for its guests. For example, I accidentally damaged a bed sheet with ink, and was kindly told that I would only be charged the minimum amount if it was determined that the stain could not be removed with a deep wash. A wonderful free breakfast is served daily, and the chef always makes sure that the guests have eaten and are well taken care of. Water, tea, and high quality coffee are all free. Something I noticed about Hostel by BED, is that it has guests who enjoy

THE BEST HOSTEL IN CHIANG MAI”
What I like about this hostel are the following: big and comfortable beds with enough storage for important stuff. The breakfast is the best! Love that they serve rice with local thai food to partner with rice aside from the continental breakfast which includes the best bread pudding! I love that they have a very comfortable lounge area and also big kitchen. The comfort room is spacious and clean and they have hair dryer inside. Best part is they have laundry service for only 20baht! The staff are amazing, super helpful and nice! They helped us book our tours and even our taxis. They are very approachable and always smiling. The atmosphere is very calming and felt instantly at home! I would to stay here again when I come to Chiang Mai!

Amazing stay. Felt very comfortable and staff was always willing to help in any way.”
Loved our stay at The Common Hostel! We were traveling as a couple and stayed in the mixed dormitories for a few nights. The overall vibe was very relaxed, with patrons ranging from young to older (50+). The staff helped us with booking a trip to the Sticky Falls and the guy was great. They helped with our laundry when we had to leave before it was done. Can't give them enough credit for making us feel welcomed and comfortable. They always greeted us with smiling faces. The facilities were incredibly clean. There was someone tidying up all the time, quietly and efficiently. The location was great and not too far from anything we wanted to visit. It was nice to be able to walk around the neighborhood before heading out to the bustling streets.

Clean hostel with great location”
The Hostel is in great location, in the old town near many interesting places, which in walking distance. Room is great, bed is comfy and clean. Air conditioner was working well. Also there are plenty of shared bathroom to use. They are all clean, although one may feel too small, but I can take a bath without any problem. Breakfast is simple but sufficient with boiled egg, sausage, salad, bread with fresh brewed coffee. Also drinking water is available for free all day in the lobby. Staff is great and service minded. I would recommend this hostel for anyone visiting Chiang Mai. You will be surely satisfied with it. PS. Fern Forest cafe' next to the hostel is worth a try.

contender for best hostel in Asia”
i only stayed one night, but was seriously impressed. incredible place. every detail has been thought out. ive stayed at so many great hostels all over asia but few get as good as this. super clean, great bathrooms and showers. good amount of personal space in the bunk and excellent common space area. lots of space to hang dry clothes. great staff. only negative is the tons of free water in plastic bottles. no reason for this in 2019. everyone travels with their own reusable bottle, and can simply refill it from the provided water machine. aside from that, can't wait to stay here again next time i am in CM.

Exceptional”
It is one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed. Pros: Clean in the room, washroom and the common area. I noticed staff really took a good care of the place. Breakfast was really good. Well prepared every morning. There’s options of fleshly baked bread and Thai food. And veggies, fruits and eggs. It was simple but delicious. The staff were really welcoming and helpful as well. Cons: There’s a sign in the each bed saying that if they need to pack their baggage in between these hours of 10PM-8AM, they are encouraged to do it outside of the room. However, I noticed some of my roommates from China doing in the middle of night and 6 in the morning while talking to each other. Maybe remind the rules when they check in? So they know. Other than that, it was a really good stay! I would definitely come back and recommend it to my friends.

Super clean, friendly and professional staff, A+ facilities”
Best hostel I've ever stayed at, rooms are nice and clean w/ perfect privacy, lockers, night lamps. Hostel provides free buffet breakfast (it's a little different every day), free water, coffee and tea all day. Staff was super friendly, spoke perfect English and was just overall very professional. I had a great experience here. (Literally the only downside was that the bathroom was one floor below but that was inconvenient mostly because I had an upper bunk so I always had to crawl down lol)

My favorite hostel”
This is the best hostel I've stayed at during my Indochina trip. It looks like a hotel, the amenities are great, the breakfast is tasty, it's near the bus stop and the Sunday night market. The receptionists are nice, too! There is always someone cleaning the place, too! The only bad thing during my stay was the large number of teenagers who checked in. They were very messy in the bathroom, but this is something beyond the hostel's control so I can't blame them.

Perfect 👌”
Everything is good and perfect about this hostel: staff, location, facilities (best showers ull get), cleanliness, awesome good breakfasts and super confortable beds. Maybe just a little con: average clients are mostly young, so in the dorms you'll get people arriving and leaving at all hours of the night (maybe Im exagerating a bit here lol). But beds are so confortable and AC is so good that u'll still sleep rly well ;)

A new and cozy hostel with amazing staff...”
This is my first time in this new hostel and I would say it has been a great experience staying here. The perfect location inside the old city in Chiang Mai and a walking distance to the famous Khao Soi Khun Yai. This hostel is clean, the free internet connection is fast, and the food's good. Like what I said to their staff, I will definitely be staying back here whenever I'm in Chiang Mai. Highly recommended hostel.

Great location & facilities. Room feels like home!”
Very recommended hostel. However there’s no lift but stairs. & we were on 4th floor. But it’s not really a problem for me since I was using backpack. Only thing I didn’t like was that the toilet is 1 floor below from the 6 female dorm. Overall I will recommend this hostel because of the facilities, free unlimited water bottles, breakfast & car parks for those that rents a car. Friendly receptionist & clean hostel 👍🏻👍🏻

Great location, excellent service and friendly staff. Very clean, silence and respect at all times.”
Bathrooms are cleaned many times a day and dorms are cleaned everyday. Breakfast is really good with a variety of choice. Staff is really helpful and friendly. Very well located, within walking distances to everywhere. Lockers are placed by the bed, although a bit small (one of my lockers had no key and nothing came lost). I highly recommend it!!

great stay!”
one of our best stays yet in Asia. the place and bathrooms were super clean, beds were private and comfier than most in thailand (besides ours having a literal hole from peoples’ knees when they get into the bed). the breakfast in the morning was delicious and always stocked. also espresso and bottled water available all day - a game changer !! overall loved our stay.

PERFECTLY NICE!!!”
I can't ask for more. The hotel is satisfyingly clean & nice. In 0 meter you could find laundry coin and my all-time favorite restaurant in Chiang Mai. In 100 meter you could find 7eleven, hawkers, and massage parlors. They provides unlimited snacks and water all day. Though the breakfast is just ok, but all were satisfying enough.

Great for short and long stays!”
Everything is perfect! The staff is helpful, kitchen is great, it’s located in the historical centre with many temples, restaurants and markets nearby but it’s still very close toward new city centre. Hostel is clean, modern. You can make laundry, ironing, store food, refill the water, spend some time in the sharing areas inside and outside.

Great hostel!”
Probably the best hostel I’ve stayed at. The location is very good—walking distance to different key sites like Wat Pra Singh and Chedi Luang, Tha Phae Gate. It’s also close to several recommended must try restaurants/eateries—Cowboy lady, Khao Soi Khun yai, and SP chicken. The bed is bigger than single so there’s a bit of room to move around. The locker for your backpack is also inside your pod. You have 2 electric sockets to charge your gadgets and 2 options for lighting. I availed of the free breakfast and it was decent and filling. While it is a self-service hostel, it didn’t feel like one. Will definitely stay here again when i am in chiang mai!

Could not be better but bring anti mosquitoes gel along.”
Everything was great except there are many mosquitoes at this time ( April) in Chiang Mai so remember to bring along anti mosquitoes gel. Breakfasts (BKF) were excellent. The hostel changes BKF everyday sometimes there are delicious traditional cakes. Cold water is free at reception. In Chiang Mai you can use Grab ( car or motorbike) service. It is very handy so do install grab app before your trip and buy a 3g sim upon arrival ( 5 USD for 8 days ) at the airport that would be perfect for your moving.

Amazing”
1. Bed is large, comfy and thick enough, 2. Water output is strong and refreshing, hot water consistently for 10 mins, 3. Coffee served in beans, with a grinder machine, 4. Breakfast nice enough to start a.new day. The overall experience is truly awesome, helpful and friendly reception. Sometimes, you dont need a fancy designed, well conceptual, attention to detail is the key of winning. Keep everything simple and minimal. I consider myself a fussy person, but this hostel just awesome, its can achieve more. 10 more days extended. I travel many places, good work the owner.

Great staff, very clean, central location”
Staff extremely helpful, booked last minute tours for me and good with advice. Everywhere was very clean at all times. Free coffee and water, some bread and jams for breakfast. You'll meet similar solo or group travellers here. Close to Old Town centre, walking distance to bars and night bazaar new location.
