Haeundae-gu hotels & places to stay

Uncle Guesthouse was a fine place to stay. Location is perfect: right in the middle of the Korean traditional market at Haeundae beach. Price for the room is pretty fair. Air-con in the rooms. The rooms and guesthouse is not big, but perfect for solo travelers looking to save some money and be close to the beach. Main living area does not have a computer available for use, but there is free wi-fi there. There are also a few PC rooms within five minutes walking distance. The beach is about seven or eight minutes away by foot. Keep in mind, no breakfast is served and there is one single bathroom/shower for all guests. The owner HyungKyu was very kind and sent a personal confirmation right after I booked. I would stay here again, good experience. Thanks!

Korean hospitality at its best! You know what that means when you call the front desk at 4am and ask them to find you kimchi and they do! A big thank you to the Manager, Park Min Ju, and the staff, Kang In Ho, Park Bae Sung who made my experience memorable.; boys you are amazing! The fact that the dorms are in the top floor and you can walk out to the rooftop terrace overlooking the best beach in Busan, Heaundae, is unbelievable to say the least. The courtesy and overall hospitality accounts for me extending my stay another 3 nights. I would highly recommend Ark Blue Hotel. In fact, I couldn´t stop inviting people over to check it out and make them jealous!hahaha!

Location was near to Haeundae beach which has many eateries and convenience store along the way. Staffs were always ready to help and were very friendly. A staff with the nickname of Jackie Chan was a joy to chat with upon check in. His colleague who was on shift with him too was helpful. The lobby had a very vibrant and chic environment.The room which I booked- 8 bed female dorm, it was spacious and there's a vanity counter. I had no complaints about the room at all. The bathroom and toilet are in the room itself. That's a plus point especially for female traveller! Breakfast was basic and it's fine for me. However, the music video played at the lobby was a bit too sexual? Just something to take note of. Though it played Christmas songs but the video was different. One last point, I think I may have leave my black spectacle in the room I stayed in. Room 501 bed 4. I may have leave it on the mirror counter. It is inside a black case. I think that it's kind of difficult to find a decent place in Busan (especially Haeundae) that's not too expensive, or if a place is cheap, it's full of sleezy people. However, D Plan Space Guesthouse is very decent and doesn't break your bank! It's a little pricey for a hostel, but that's because of it's awesome location (5 minute walk from the beach) and because it's a nice and new place. The best part about the place is the amazing staff, which consists of one guy named Lee. He was so kind and helpful. His English is near perfect, and he just seems like an all-around great person. I definitely recommend D Plan Space Hostel to anyone traveling to Busan. I don't think you'll be disappointed. :)

A place like the Hi Korea Hostel is something very hard to find in Korea. I was impressed by the welcoming atmosphere and super friendly staff. They really tried to make every guest feel at home. There is lots of travel information and maps available, free high speed WiFi is definitely a plus, and the rooms and facilities are brand new and clean. The best part - it comes at a very economical price and is situated in a prime location, only 3 min walk from Haeundae beach, Korea's most popular beach, and many restaurants, bars and night clubs are just nearby. Couldn't recommend a better place!

Firstly, the security of Bluefish was beyond satisfactory. Lighting of front desk and corridor was luminous which leave a good impression. Owner was very passion and check in time was flexible. Room was spacious for 2 adults. Self service breakfast was fascinating with full equipped kitchen, eggs, coffee, tea, orange juice, toast, strawberry jam and butter. According to owner, kitchen can be used all day but you need to clean up. Frankly speaking bluefish located quite far from subway station, however, it was near to beach and market. The only cons will be painting in room was quite old.

Despite the initial confusion between Hi Korea and Hi Busan hostels, as two different addresses were given on the documentation, we were greeted cordially by the reception manager who came to walk us over from Hi Busan to Hi Korea (just 5 minutes walk from each other). Afterwards, I saw that I had been sent a courtesy email by the hostel reminding me not to get the two places mixed up! The room was extremely compact with no window, but clean and adequately air conditioned with night lights and power outlets. Shared bathrooms were a little busy due to the weekend-long Sand Festival, but free basic breakfast of eggs, toast with jam and butter, filter coffee and orange juice was a pleasant surprise. Overall, the hostel offered a modern, comfortable and friendly environment, with 2 cats and notes from previous travelers adding a little character. Hi Busan is very convenient place to stop-off for a night or two 5 minutes from Haeundae beach front: great for backpackers and budget travelers.

It was good. The manager who spoke English helped a lot. First by handing me a map which explains the ways in getting to the destinations that I already had in mind, and he was really helpful by recommending local shops which serves local home cook food. Even the other lady who did not speak much English did her best to try explain things to me. It was homely I feel, and the location was perfect. The hostel is located just one block away from the Haeundae beach. The restaurants and eateries around serve very good food. Across the street is the Haeundae Market, where you will be able to find plenty of food So food is not a problem. Subway is about 500m away, which is convenient to get to other parts of Busan. Overall great. BTW: Get some beers and chill out at the rooftop of this hostel. The night breeze with some booze is just lovely.

I went with 9 friends to Zoom Guesthouse during the chuseok weekend this year. Due to the many traffic jams we encountered we arrived after the check in deadline. But this was no problem. After a call we could enter the Zoom guesthouse. The owner even came back to let is in to our room! The location is also very good. You are approximately 600meters away from the beach, Haeundae beach. The best beach Busan has to offer (and it's great!). The room we had was quite small, but then again we only slept there and the beds where comfortable. in the morning we had an acceptable breakfast. Don't imagine something fancy, but it was good enough for us. The owner was very very nice. She came back for us on our day/night of arrival and during our stay she was very helpful and polite. If you go to Busan and want a good quality for a low price? Then go to Zoom Guesthouse!

Pobi guesthouse is a 5/10 minutes from the Haeundae subway station, and another 5 minutes walk from Haeundae beach. It's a wonderful location in which to explore the area, and great for a late night stroll on the beach before going back for a rest. The guesthouse is delightful. The owner is incredibly kind and helpful, and works hard to provide information for any/all questions you may have. The guesthouse is also very clean and comfortable, and a great place to relax. There is free internet, great kitchen/bed/shower facilities. I was reluctant at first to use a hostel (having heard horror stories) but I was incredibly surprised at how nice it was. It's also possible to book private rooms, and the doors have locks. I will definitely stay here again.

Stay on 4th November. Suited at Haeundae Beach. The best time to stay is summer. Due to end autumn is the low season for the Hostel there are not many people staying here. All the beach activity had already close. I choose to stay because it easy to reach Yunggangsa Temple, Busan aquarium. Since this area is one of the hottest area in Busan, a lot of restaurant suited here. And some of the shop here operate 24 hours. So you do have problem of food and groceries.

We had a last minute plan to go to Busan from Seoul. Am looking for a place to stay for the night and chance upon the hotel. Walking distance from haeundae station and haeundae beach. I love the rooms. It's just nice for a family of 6. The toilet is massive! Common area is very cozy. There's also computers n sofas to chill. My children ages from 6 to 17 loves the place. Would come back again

Expected a hostel like accommodations but was surprised that it was more of a luxurious high-end hotel! Upon check-in already was given a great site to see in the lobby area, where you can see the nearby ocean by the window side! Booked for one night in a all male dormitory. There were four beds and bunk style. Very elegantly presented and very clean! Shower and toilet was shared in the same room. Again I was surprised how nice this hotel was! Especially when I spent $10 for a dormitory! You also have access to the beautiful rooftop, free laundry (500 won for detergent), and free breakfast in the morning (Toast, rolls, cereal, OJ, Coffee, Apple Juice, Milk). Only con is that it probably isn't the best place to meet other travelers but rather a nice resort to yourself kind-of-place! Overall amazing value for what I got at the time. It was a shame I couldn't book for one night.

1. Perfect location!!! Right in front of the subway station (Haeundae), right next to bus stops, the Haeundae beach is near by (5-10 minute walk), and surrounded by plenty of restaurants! 2. Friendly, hospitable, and helpful staff! 3. Nice breakfast, provides eggs, toast, butter, peanut butter, strawberry jam, coffee, orange juice and grape juice. 4. Owner has 2 very very cute Corgis, and they will occasionally show up and play with guests! 5. Provides adequate amenities such as refrigerator, laundry machine, hair dresser, kitchenware, etc. 6. Provides toiletries such as towels, shampoo, body wash, toothpaste and detergent powder. I would definitely choose Hostel The New Day again if I visit Busan again in the future!!!

I have stayed in Sun & Moon Guesthouse for 5 nights in April 2017. Its location is easy to reach by bus from Haeundae. Its also not too far to get there from Haeundae on foot. I really enjoy the days there and appreciate all the kindness and hospitality from the staff. I am grateful for the reception. I'll choose this guesthouse without a doubt when I go to Busan next time.

The place was very easy to find and was conveniently near the subway station and bus stops. It was really close Haeundae beach and the traditional Haeundae market, which I highly recommend visitors to go. There were plenty of restaurants and convenience stores around. There was also a massive Daiso and a CGV movie theatre close to the place. However, Haeundae, in general, is quite far from the city centre of Busan, but it shouldn't be a problem since transportation (buses and subways) are really accessible from the guesthouse. The place is well maintained and the facilities available are modern. I love the interior of the place, it's very welcoming and pleasing. What you see on the pictures is what you get in real life. However, the bathroom stalls were quite unusual for me since the divider was only a semi-see-through glass, but it wasn't a big deal since I took showers when no one was around. Breakfast was included in our stay which was a massive plus. You need to be quick though especially if there are lots of other guests staying; the food could run out. The staff members were really nice and friendly. They were always willing to help us out. Overall, the guesthouse was a really good value for the price we paid. We enjoyed our stay in Busan and had an enjoyable stay at the guesthouse for 5 nights. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay near Haeundae beach and is looking for an excellent bargain!

Off course a love motel, but safe and good for even couples. I have been staying in Korea for more than 6 years, but this is the best Motel I stayed till date. First of all, we booked standard room however, after arriving at the hotel the staff offered us the deluxe room with the same prize. Excellent service throughout our stay of 2 nights and three days. Clean and well maintained motel and comfortable beds and every day morning staff will change everything like bed, towels, and all bathroom stuffs. In the morning, a GS shop breakfast service of a sandwich and a juice which is more than adequate. Good WiFi and also if you are not carrying the laptop then you can find 2 PCs in room which can be connected to the big screen TV. Beautifully designed bathroom having Jacuzzi and Savannah to relax after a travelling in hot n humid summer of Busan. Location is good, 5 min walk from the subway station and also same distance from the very famous haeundae beach. I would definitely choose this Motel again.

My girlfriend and I's favorite place we stayed at while traveling around Korea for cheap. We stayed at S-One Motel's Superior Double (for incl. tax) in Busan for one night. It was a surprisingly clean room, and had a quaint, yet trendy feel to it. The room's desks were green and bright, as if anime themed (which I enjoyed), and the bathroom was separated by a smoked glass with images of a vinyl record and kissy lips. Wood drawers and table, and a small chandelier on the ceiling. Odd mix of decor, but works for the average traveler. To the side of the bed was a mirror that runs along to the very ceiling as well... a feature that I'm sure some couples may enjoy. Simple, lacy drapes run along the head of the bed as well. The front desk hands out a toiletry bag, filled with the usual: toothbrush, tooth paste, face mask, q-tips, lotion, and of course, the of so shameful condom. It's a definite love motel. I wouldn't recommend for families, but as a couple, we enjoyed its theme, but mostly that it was clean. I think what I enjoyed most about the room was that it had water cooler/dispenser in the room. A simple feature, but I'm pet-peevey about drinking from the faucet at hotels. It is close to Haeundae Station / Haeundae Beach. If you can't find the motel by Google or Naver Maps, taxi guy will know the way.

The motel locates very close to the metro and also in a walking distance to Haeundae beach. It takes only 2-3 min only from the exit 5 of Haeundae station and the motel is easy to find. We check-in in the afternoon with the reception ladies (mom & daughter). They were clumsy with the booking paper and with their poor English language. We took a time to get through the check-in process. In the evening, the reception shifts to a guy who has better English speaking. Standard double room is smaller than what it looks like in the pictures but super clean and peaceful. Way too clean!! We came back and found the room was cleaned, even though we did not ask for it. Our toothbrushes and my expensive makeup cleansing tissue were gone. All I can get from reception were new toothbrushes T.T

this is the first time that we went to busan s-korea this hostel is one of the reasons i really enjoy staying in busan.my first impression was warm welcome from the host his kindness and friendly we will never forget .i love hostel interior design(surrounded with eggs) it's really nice and has a great unique style. the room is also nice new and very clean .there's a living room for guest (my mom's really love this room.you can enjoy play ukulele,reading books, play computer etc.) .there's free wifi 24 hours !! . the location is also great.it's located not far from subway station (5minutes)and haeundae beach(8 minutes). this hostel is special for me and my family if we got a chance to go to busan i would differently stay here again. really impressed.great place to remeber

Popcorn Hostel is just incredible place. Staff is all the time nice, never met people of such a kindness. I had a good time with them and if the people are such a good like in here doesnt matter how the hostel looks like, but in here also hostel is really satisfying place for me. Popcorn Hostel is perfect situated just 5 minutes from the most beautiful beach what i have ever seen, also really short walk to get center and subway in Haeundae, and get some of the specialty of the local food market. Really enjoyed the walks in the night thru haeundae. Accomodation spaces in Popcorn hostel are more then enough comfortable, which made me surprised how much i could be satisfied with it. Every evening when i came, room and bathroom was clean. Staff cares a lot, like i have never seen. Which made me not feel lonely. I also enjoyed night view of the Popcorn hostels lounge where its possible to sit and drink coffee or order some food. For that Popcorn hostel has a special position, coz its situated in 11th floor, which is last floor of the building therefore its easy entry to the rooftop if you would like to enjoy this nice view on the fresh air. Few more words? Popcorn Hostel = my second home :) Im gonna miss it a lot.

It takes less than 10 min walking distance from Haeundae subway, and same distance to Haeundae beach. Suggest to take taxi from the station to the motel for first time, as there are many hotels surrounding the area. There are many restaurants are opened from evening till late night, is happening at night. The motel is cleaned with daily clean up service and spacious. The con was the pillow too flat.

If you are looking a place to stay in Busan that near with Haeundae beach. I really recommend this place, I think this is the best place I have choose to stay throughout my travelling in Jeju & Seoul! The room is very clean, bathroom is also very clean!! Very different experience with the one I had in Hongkong... This place is just great. It is also very close with Haeundae metro station, take exit 1. My only comment is on the flexibility of the check in time. Since we took Late night bus from Incheon to Busan, we reach busan very at dawn & reach the hotel very early in the morning (around 6 or 7am), being in a long flight & bus travelling we really want to take a bath & put our luggage first before we continue travelling. But they did not even open the door for us! We are okay if we have to pay extra for the bath, but we are not able to do any of those... We have to wander the area with our luggage which is quite big until their opening time which is around 11am, and it was just only to put our luggage! Check in time is at 3pm! So if you are planning to stay here, please plan carefully on your timing... Other than this everything turns out very satisfying. The breakfast is self cooking concept & clean after used

We stayed in the 6-bed dorm and the beds were clean and comfortable (quite hard mattresses, so if you prefer soft beds you may be a little uncomfortable but I enjoyed it). The owners were incredibly nice and very helpful and cook you a simple breakfast in the morning (1 fried egg, 2 slices of toast, butter and jam - they gave us more toast when requested). Their English is quite limited but we were able to communicate pretty well and they went out of their way to give us bus numbers and directions to places when asked. Overall we had a great time there - it was very cheap and very basic accommodation, but clean and great for a traveler with a budget. It's location is fantastic, about 2 minute walk from the Haeundae Subway station and 5 minutes walk from the main beach. It's down a little side alley from the main drag but their sign is visible from the main road so it was easy to find. There was very little noise at night as well which was really great :) I'd definitely recommend staying here.
