Overall, it was relatively very cheap around Kyoto and came with appropriate service. 😞 - At check-in, additional charges for items like toothbrushes and towels (2 free) are applied in addition to the accommodation fee. - There are no pajamas, and the quality of shampoo and body soap is the lowest (no conditioner). - The room only has a bed. - At night, small bugs gathered around the shower room light, and there were ladybugs in the washroom. - The shared areas with water facilities had a wet floor (it would be nice to have a foot mat that can be quickly wiped). ☺️ - The room is small, but there’s enough space to spread out a carry-on for solo travelers. - The room has plenty of power outlets. - Even after check-out, I could leave my luggage for the day (which was very appreciated!). Honestly, the check-in day did not leave a very good impression, but the staff who welcomed me with a smile when I came to pick up my luggage on check-out day left a very good impression. Overall, I was able to stay comfortably with good cost performance.
Lowest price search. Did it open recently? I hesitated because there were no Korean reviews, so I booked for just one day for now. Upon arrival, the bed was clean, the shower was clean, and there was even an air freshener in the toilet. The staff was friendly. I extended my one-day reservation. There were only 3 of us in the 10-person room, so it was comfortable to use. The downside is that the water pressure is weak. I traveled in the summer and found that hot water comes out better, so I took a shower with hot water. If you book through Agoda, you have to pay an extra 200 yen for Kyoto. They also don't provide towels. Tip: I used the second floor, and the shower in the first stall was spacious. I had a good rest.
Overall, it was fine. All the staff were friendly. However, if it's your first time, finding the place might be a bit difficult as it's about a 10-minute walk from the station, which could be a little inconvenient. When it was time to check in, they provided notes to guide me so I could do it alone, so there weren't any significant inconveniences. As for the facilities, the place I stayed on the 3rd floor only had one shared shower room, so it was a bit of a wait each time, but the atmosphere was mostly quiet, so it was okay. Since it's Kyoto, there is an additional fee of about 200 yen per night.
It's near a lot of expensive shops with a lot of westerners so you'll be able to find people to speak to there's another cheap place to stay down the road that has a nice onsen capsule hotel spa and massage parlor all combined into one that is slightly more expensive depending on your discounts. If you want to talk to westerners go here if you want to talk to locals go there. This is probably a good place to volunteer even if you should probably negotiate for like 40 minutes of work per day rather than 3 hours since they aren't providing food transportation or the like.

“It is very suitable for tourists who want to travel solo in Kyoto.”
The location is very convenient, with tram stations, subway stations, and bus stops nearby, making it very easy to access attractions. The Kamo River is also not far away, and you can store your luggage for free, although it is unattended. However, everyone is very courteous, and there have been no instances of lost items. The bed space is wide, and the ceiling height is sufficient. The shower rooms are very clean, and there are several of them, so there won't be any queues. Free hair dryers and paper towels are provided. Bathing supplies require an additional fee. Overall, I am very satisfied. If the price remains the same as this time, I will continue to stay here.
