Great hotel, especially for the price. Rooms are beautiful, with outdoor showers and my room overlooked the river and mangroves around. Literally on the beach, which is classic, Thai, white sand, clear blue waters, palm trees as far as the eye can see. Restaurant is good, though staff are a little dopey and everything in the vicinity stops serving by 8.30! Very relaxed atmosphere and not much to do but chill on the beach. No wifi and the communal computer is really bad! Can use kayaks for free to explore mangroves and the bay and staff let me use the phone to book a diving trip.
It was a great escape for our couple from all the world :)
It was a very quiet visit, three days should be more than enough, this guest house did not have any wifi, if you want to communicate with outside everyday, you may have to think it over again, the river did have some bad smell every afternoon, but the river view near by the restaurant was great.
It was a very relax quiet trip for us, but the guest house should get their wifi set up ASAP, since there,s only one nice girl can speak some English, without any reading the trat magazine , it's difficult to communicate with outside, they should also get the guest room repair from time to time, the smell from the water did bother us very much.
This hotel is paradise! It is in the middle of nowhere, there is no Wifi, and a spacious restaurant with hammocks. The staff is unbelievably friendly! The rooms are huge and clean, with an open air shower! If you really want to relax, this is the place to be!
My stay at Forest was good, with comfortable room and bed. Good food also at the restaurant, a little bit far on the island and not so value for the money.
booked one night here but ended up staying the whole week. Its a very charming hotel with an open air shower which i loved. the staff here was super friendly and allowed us to hang out in the restaurant area (hammocks and seating) after hours. we were able to negotiate a good deal and they even gave us 3 or 4 meals for free. free kayak usage. only complaint was that the beach right in front of the hotel wasnt maintained. probably cause it was shared with a few local families. that being said, there was some trash and even broken bottles in the sand. if you walk a little further down the beach there are a couple of resorts that keep there beaches clean. Still loved the hotel. It was the best value on the island (i checked close to a dozen others in person).
I wouldn't stay here again. For the money it was ok, but their website really talks up the property when in practise it underdelivers. Staff are glued to the TV, food is ordinary. Bathroom had cracked tiles and wasn't up to scratch. Beach was very dirty - was in fact the dirtiest beach I saw on the island. Swing was almost broken. House nextdoor plays loud music throughout the day (not much they can do about it, but it just added to the WTF am I doing here feeling. All that said, for Ko Kut, the price is not unreasonable, but they should really tone down their website copy to a level their staff are actually able to deliver on.
This hotel is below average. It is a 30 minute drive to anything. when asking a question, or to order food, you are answered with rolling eyes and an attitude that makes you feel like you are a burden to the staff. the beach is covered in rubbish and at night the mangroves begin to smell disgusting. the restaurant is only open 3 times a day for 2 hours at a time and the food is below average (we got incredibly sick during our stay due to the food)and due to the location, there are literally no other restaurants for at least 30 minutes drive. we had booked for 4 nights, and only stayed 3 and were not given a refund on the final night. This hotel is a waste of money, to put it bluntly.
Great spot, good accommodations, super exclusive location and terrible service
My wife (Thai) and I have stayed at this resort a number of times and have enjoyed ourselves every time. I've also read a number of the comments made by others; most of the negative comments are probably a result of not reasearching the place a bit before visiting. Koh Kood is remote and folks don't go down there for the nightlife and action; if you're looking for an array of restaruants and 7/11's stay in Koh Chang. The staff (husband & wife) are quite friendly and the service was great. Rooms are comfortable and clean, and yes, the shower is open to sky so if it's raining you'll get wet (imagine that). Meals were great and yes, most are Thai dishes. Breakfast is included with the room and Western/Thai choices are available. One nice feature about the area is that Ao Phrao is connected to two other bays via a shoreline path; don't be afraid to venture out for a nice walk and see the other beaches.
The best feature is probably the nice beach nearby and the calm atmosphere. Rooms are big enough but the bathroom is opensky meaning that there is no roof over the shower (cold). The surrounding is not excellent as the local houses around are very poor standard. it is quite difficult to reach this hotel. Overall stay is ok, I would go back to this hotel to take their amazing fruit shake. The best I ever tasted!!
Our stay was wonderful, as we were located rightin the middle of the mangroves. We had the opportunity to use the kayaks to travel around the hotel area and we saw wonderful nature and animals amongst the mangroves. It was so beautiful to wake up to nature on our doorstep. The food was wonderful and reasonably priced and the ,location was wonderful.
rooms is not very good,there are no warm water, woradrobe, and refrigerator. the wall of rooms is not thick enough for keeping noises. however, the location is the best. The resort is located on the edge of the mangrove.So when the tide is high, you will see a lot of small fishs.I will never miss going there again for sure.

ห้องพักไม่เก็บเสียงได้ยินห้องข้างๆคุยกัน การเดินทางค่อนข้างไกล ห้องอาหารของที่พักไม่อร่อยราคาแพง ดีตรงที่มีเรือให้พายเล่น
บรรยากาศ ได้ราคาหลักล้าน ราคาหลักต้นๆ ดีค่ะ อาหารอร่อย เงียบสงบ เหมาะสำหรับการพักผ่อน
ที่พักตั้งในทำเลที่ดีพายเรือชมป่าโกงกางหรือพายออกทะเลก็ได้ เหรอจะเดินไปหน้าหาดก็ใกล้มากที่พักเงียบสงบครับ
โดนตัวเรือดกัดแผลใหญ่มากค่ะ ส่วนแฟนโดนกัดเช่นกันถึง7-8ที่ ส่วนพนักงานแทบไม่มีความรู้เลย เมื่อถามว่าน้ำตกที่ไหนสวย มีอะไรน่าเที่ยวบ้าง ตลอดจนร้านอาหาร พนักงานตอบได้เพียงว่า "ไม่รู้ค่ะหนูไม่เคยไป" ส่วนlocationไกลจากทุกสิ่ง ทางเข้าออกลำบากซึ่งเป็นทรายทั้งซอย อันตรายต่อการขี่มอเตอร์ไซด์เข้าออก ถือว่าเป็นการตัดสินใจเข้าพักที่ผิดหวังมาก
- เดินทางไกลนิดนึงจากท่าเรือประมาณ 20 นาที อยู่ท้ายเกาะ ขับรถข้ามเขา แต่ก็พอได้ - ที่พักบรรยากาศดี อยู่ในป่าโกงกาง ช่วงเช้าน้ำเป็นสีฟ้าสวย มีเรือให้พายฟรี - ห้องพักกว้าง ห้องน้ำกึ่ง outdoor เสียอย่างเดียวไม่มีตู้เย็น - พนักงานดี เป็นมิตร แก้ปัญหาเฉพาะหน้าได้ - อาหารอร่อยใช้ได้ ราคาสมเหตุสมผล จะสั่งปูต้องแจ้งล่วงหน้า 1 วัน อาหารเช้าตัวเลือกน้อย - หาดอ่าวพร้าวอยู่ใกล้ สามารถพายเรือไปได้ แต่หน้าหาดไม่ได้สะอาดมาก หาดอื่นๆบนเกาะสวยกว่า - ใช้วิธีขี่มอเตอร์ไซด์ออกไปเที่ยวที่หาดอื่นในเวลากลางวัน ความยากคือการลุยทรายช่วงหน้าทางเข้า
สภาพแวดล้อมเป็นธรรมชาติ เงียบสงบ ชาวบ้านรอบๆที่พักเป็นกันเองคะ โดยรวมพึงพอใจ ใช้บริการครั้งนี้เป็นครั้งที่ 2แล้วคะ ราคาเหมาะสมกับห้องพักคะ

บรรยากาศดี สงบ ร่มรื่น อาหารอร่อย ห้องพักตกแต่งสวยมากๆ ชอบมากครับ แล้วก็ชอบพายเรือคายัคมาก พื้นที่เอื้อต่อการพายเรือท่องเล่นสามารถไปวัดอ่าวพร้าวได้ทางคายัค สถานที่ตั้งอยู่ห่างไกลจากท่าเรือมาก เดินทางจากท่าเรือใช้เวลานานจนเบื่อ ชายหาดของรีสอร์ทไม่ค่อยน่าเล่นเท่าไร

บริการประทับใจพนักงานดูแลดีมากแม้บางอย่างอาจจะตกหล่นบ้าง ในกรณีผมคือลืมทำความสะอาดคืนที่2 แต่โดยรวมแล้วเป็นกันเองมาก สภาพโรงแรมสะอาด ไม่มีกลิ่นอับ สิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกอาจจะไม่ได้มาตรฐานเท่ารีสอร์ทขนาดใหญ่ แต่ก็ชดเชยได้ด้วยอากาศบริสุทธิ์ และความสงบของรีสอร์ท บรรยากาศในรีสอร์ทไม่วุ่นวายเพราะมีจำนวนห้องพักน้อย โดยรวมแล้วสำหรับผมประทับใจมาก
ทางไกลไปนิด ความรู้สึกเหมือนโฮมสเตย์ หาดสงบ ส่วนตัวแต่ยังไม่สวยพอ

สะดวกสบายแทบทุกด้านค่ะ แต่เดินทางมาที่พักอาจจะไกลจากแหล่งท่องเที่ยวสักหน่อย
ถึงแม้จะไกลจากท่าเรือ แต่พนักงานโรงแรม ดูแลเรื่องรถรับ-ส่งดีมากค่ะ เมนูอาหารอาจจะจำกัด แต่อร่อยทุกอย่างเลยะค่ะ โดยรวมทริปนี้สนุกสนานมากค่ะ
การเดินทางเข้ารีสอร์ทออกจะไกลไปหน่อย เพราะรีสอร์ทอยู่ท้ายๆของเกาะ อาหารอร่อยแต่ราคาก็ตามเกาะครับ เหมาะกับการพักผ่อนมากๆ ควรมาพักที่เกาะกูดอย่างน้อยสองวันเพราะกว่าจะเดินทางมาถึงก็สี่โมงเย็นแล้ว รถที่จะมารับขึ้นเรือขากลับก็ประมาณ 9 โมงเช้า ถ้ามาคืนเดียวจะเหนื่อยเกินไปครับ ควรหาอะไรรองท้องมาก่อนนะครับเพราะทางรีสอร์ทจะมีเปิดครัว หกโมงเย็นครับปิดสองทุ่ม สัญญาณโทรศัพท์จะมีแต่เอไอเอสนะครับ ส่วนเครือข่ายอื่นต้องเดินหาสัญญาณหน่อยครับ โดยรวมถ้าต้องการพักผ่อนถือว่าเหมาะที่สุดครับ สามารถเช่ารถขับเที่ยวรอบเกาะได้ ร้านอาหารติดทะเลมีหลายร้านครับ
เงียบสงบไม่พลุกพล่านธรรมชาติมากๆ แต่ชายหาดใกล้รีสอร์ทสกปรกต้องเดินออกไปหน่อย ทางไปจากเรือเฟอรี่เข้าที่พักมีรถกระบะรับส่งแต่ไกลมากประมาณครึ่ง ชม หรือ มากกว่านั้น และข้ามเขาหลายลูก
เข้าพักเรียบร้อยดี ไม่มีปัญหาในการเช็คอิน พนักงานยิ้มแย้มแจ่มใส ให้บริการดี มีเรือคายัคให้บริการพายฟรี
การเดินทางลำบากไปซักนิดเพราะทางยังเป็นดินแดงอยู่ แต่เท่าที่ขี่มอเตอร์ไซด์รอบเกาะ ก็ไม่ได้แตกต่างกัน เพราะฉะนั้นไม่ถือเป็นจุดอ่อน พนักงานเป็นมิตร ยิ้มแย้มแจ่มใสดี ห้องพักสะอาด เป็นธรรมชาติดี ห้องน้ำแบบเปิดโรแมนติกไปอีกแบบ ติดคลองที่เชื่อมกับทะเล ถ้าต้องการไปทะเล ก็แค่ไม่กี่ก้าว โดยรวมถือว่าโอเค เงียบสงบ เป็นธรรมชาติดี
ไม่เจอนะครับ พนักงานตอนรับสุภาพ น่ารักมาก เป็นกันเอง
ประทับใจมากจิงๆ ห้องพักอาจจะไม่หรูหราเเต่ออกเเบบมาให้ใกล้ชิดธรรมชาติมาก ห้องน้ำเเบบเปิดเพดาน ห้องนอนตั้งอยู่บนป่าโกงกาง มีน้ำขึ้นน้ำลงสลับกัน สวยงามมาก
ไม่มีปัญหาใด ทาง For Rest Boutique House ช่วยอัพเกรดห้องพักจาก ห้องพัดลมเป็นห้องแอร์ให้ด้วย โดยไม่ต้องเพิ่มค่าใช้จ่ายใดๆ ประทับใจมาก
ห้องพักสะอาดพอใช้ ห้องน้ำโอเพ่นแอร์ ไม่มีน้ำอุ่น แต่น้ำไหลแรง ที่ตั้งไม่ติดชายหาด แต่เดินไปประมาณสามนาที ทะเลสวยงาม สงบ คนไม่พลุกพล่าน ห้องอาหารติดคลอง น้ำใส ยืมเรือคายัคพายไปตามคลอง หรือพายออกไปทะเลได้ ไม่เสียค่าใช้จ่าย ข้อเสียอย่างเดียวคือ อยู่ไกลจากท่าเรือมาก ต้องนั่งรถสองแถวนานเกือบครึ่งชั่วโมง
เดินทางเข้าสู่เกาะกูดลงเรือที่อ่าวบางเบ้า น้ำทะเลสีฟ้าสวย มีบริการรับ-ส่งไปทีรีสอร์ท ใช้เวลาเดินทางประมาณครึ่งชั่โมง เนื่องจากถนนในเกาะกูดเป็นทางเคอนกรีตเล็กๆและลาดชันเป็นช่วงๆ ทางเข้าที่พักเป็นดินแดงจนถึงที่พักจึงเป็นทรายและป่ามะพร้าว ซึ่งเป็นรีสอร์ที่อยู่ไกล้ๆหาด และติดคลองป่าโกงกางมีเรือคายัคบริการฟรี สามารถพายไปหาดซึ่งอยู่ไกล้ได้ ที่พักสะอาด เข้ากับบรรยากาศธรรมชาติ ห้องน้ำแบบเปิด ห้องที่พักเป็นห้องที่เปิดออกไปเจอวิวโถงส่วนกลางและข้างๆเป็นตะลิ่งโกงกาง รีสอร์ทตั้งอยู่ชายน้ำที่เป็นคลองที่เชื่อมมาจากทะเลข้างนอก และอยู่ไกล้ๆบ้านชาวเลในเกาะ มีร้านค้าราคาถูกอยู่ไกล้ อาหารที่รีสอร์ทราคาไม่แพง ตรงทีพักยังสามารถตกปลา ตกหมึก หรือ มีบริการเรือเช่าพาตกปลาทะเลได้ ประทับใจมากคะ แล้วจะกลับไปเที่ยวอีก
มีความสงบ เป็นกันเอง ที่พักสะอาดและมีความเป็นธรรมชาติในบรรยากาศบ้านพักต่างอากาศแบบป่าชายเลน เป็นรีสอร์ทขนาดเล็ก

The hotel is nicely decorated. Few walks to the long sandy beach. The hotel is above the canal from the sea, which is unique. Can kayak along the canal and link to the sea.
