It was so good that I want to visit again!”
The hotel atmosphere was really nice and quiet, and the room was clean and comfortable, so I had a good stay. The staff were also very friendly and attentive, and they took good care of the room during my stay. Personally, I like the traditional architecture of old Korean houses, and not only the exterior but also the interior was perfect. I didn't expect much from the service or room condition just by looking at the architecture, but I was very satisfied to the point where I wondered if it was okay for the price. The mango shaved ice in the hotel was cheap and really delicious! Highly recommended~
Review of a 1 night 2 day stay at Komodo Hotel.”
On the first day of my stay at Komodo Hotel, I took a taxi and the hotel staff kindly greeted me by holding the taxi door and welcoming me. From the first impression, I felt good and satisfied with the check-in process and the treatment from the lobby staff. I received a room on the top floor and as soon as I opened the door, I was amazed by the beautiful view of Busan Port. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and well-organized. However, there were some Euro products in the room that I moved to a less visible spot to avoid accidentally using them. The hotel elevator was fast and convenient to use without any inconvenience. I did not have a chance to use other facilities, but I felt like I would like to try them next time. During my one-night stay, I found the staff to be very friendly and the room to be clean and odorless. However, I was a bit disappointed that there were not many other convenient facilities around the hotel. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay at the hotel.
Clean hotel, convenient location, friendly service”
I chose Komodo Hotel because it is located not far from Busan Station for my 2-day business trip. The room condition was better than expected and clean, so I was satisfied. The front desk also provided good service according to the situation. At first, I was a little curious about its location on a hill, but after seeing the great view utilizing the hill, I understood. You can easily visit by taxi, and even if you walk, you can visit without much difficulty by taking a slightly gentle road. I plan to use it again for my next business trip.
Very satisfied hotel!”
I remember arriving at the Komodo Hotel by taxi and wondering if I was in the right place because the exterior was so unique. With its Korean-style tiled roof and blue and white exterior, the hotel almost felt like a foreign temple. The lobby's crystal chandelier was also impressive, as were the mural tiles on the lobby walls. The staff were all very friendly. While the room design may not be to everyone's taste, as it is quite traditional, the condition of the furnishings was good. The only minor issue was that the bathtub drain and showerhead felt a bit dated. The location is convenient for visiting the Gwangjang and Dongdaemun markets, and there is a bus stop nearby. I would definitely consider staying here again.
Historic landmark still shines”
Considering the Commodore's age - the hotel opened in 1979 - it's quite remarkable in what good shape they've kept it all these years. You can see some wear here and there, but the hotel is clean and in good condition. We didn't opt for the breakfast, which seemed a tad overpriced (sorry), judging from the photos available online, and while the staff was very friendly, the caffè latte at the hotel's own café wasn't much to write home about (again, sorry, just being honest here). The view on the 8th floor was great and must be even better higher up, the bed comfy, the towels clean and of good quality, and you are only a relatively short walk away from old alleys with little shops and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.
