"The HI-Whistler was very nice for a HI, we visited in summer and it was very warm, unfortunately there was no air-con in the room, which made it a bit hot. Also the wifi was a bit hit and miss in the building."

"Pros - convenient location/central, helpful staff, love the loft style units and Murphy bed. Cons- dated, furniture in nonsmoking units still smell like smoke, older carpets and fridge in unit didn’t seem to run. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will return to stay there again. "

"The hotel is centrally located for Whistler and you can be on the main drag in only about 1 minute which is nice. Despite the location it is noisy and our room faced the centre yet we didn't hear any noise from the bars. The room had a kitchen which would have been useful but as we were just passing through it wasn't utilised. It housed everything you could have needed to cook for yourself though. Strangely the room had the jacuzzi bath literally next to the bed which was a tad strange. That said it was nice after a long drive!! Parking was secure and under the hotel and not overly priced. In general not a bad hotel, clean and had everything you needed."

"This hotel is very convenient to get to from Vancouver airport or from many places downtown. Vancouver offers bus and shuttle services where you can get dropped at this hotel. So finding this place is easy, even if you drive yourself since both Whistler and Hilton are clearly marked. The hotel feels a bit a old (low ceiling) and color decor. But it is well maintained and generally very clean, so being an older hotel is not an issue for the practical customer. At the main lobby there is a fire place to help warm up customers waiting to register. Very nice and cozy. The staff are friendly and seem to have the answers to your questions at their finger tips, regarding the hotel, village, slopes or buses. The rooms are also nice. Small kitchen, nice size cupboards, bathroom, living room area and fire place. If I had to complain about something, it would be the view. It does not have much of a view since many sides are blocked. This hotel is also near the main whistler gondola and ticket counter, so it is also very convenient."
