It just took around 30 mins train from the airport to Utrecht Centraal station. As I arrived Utrecht at night, it's important to locate the hotel as soon as possible. Just go to the exit side with larger spoor number. Soon after you step out the exit and look to the front right, you can see a building with the sign NH hotel, and that's the location. Convenient enough...
The hotel is very very close to where I was attending the conference. It was convenient to get from the Utrecht train station by both tram and local bus. The front gate is a little confusing if you walk in and it is surrounded by electric fencing. The rooms are simple and practical. This hotel served my purposes very well.
It's literally next to Utrecht Central and mere minutes away from the gorgeous city center. Despite this, the hotel is still pretty separate from most of the activities on the street so you get your peace and quiet. The rooms are basic but neat and the bathrooms are large. The downside is the parking which is quite expensive (Eur 20 per day) and not given as a complime...

I arrived late at night and was supposed to receive the door code in advance, unfortunately they forgot. I had to phone to get the code. I tried to ask questions through text message e.g. could I have a fan, where do I leave the key cards when I leave, as I kept missing the concierge, I never got a reply, even though it is supposed to 24hr support.

The room was reasonable size for 3 adults and the staff was very helpful even helping to take our luggages to the room on the second floor . We like the cosiness and cleaniness and the wifi had good connectivity . We would not hesitate to recommend this value for money hotel to our friends in Singapore .

Oudegracht Museumkwartier Utrecht is such a treat. Those of you fed up with run of the mill business hotels will love the homely feel but modern decor and facilities.
