Pietermaritzburg hotels & accommodations

I stayed at the Ilawu Hotel for 2 nights in May 2014. The hotel is located at the city centre. It is a small, budget hotel and worked well for the two nights that I had to spend with my family there for some work. From the time I was picked up from the small less frequented airport, by the hotel shuttle to when I left the hotel, the staff was very helpful and supportiv...

I needed a clean, well priced overnight stay close to where I was having a job interview the following morning. Our hostess was a gem as we were well received in the night. I must say, I also enjoy a nice hotel room, but booking this B&B on this occasion was the way to go. Breakfast was arranged upon our arrival and the selection was wide (and fresh)in the morning. The...

The host Rita...

I think the manager and staff are friendly and welcoming but that is unfortunately not enough. There are books for guests in the rooms and the manager should sit with the owner and go through these so as to address issues raised by clients. Cleanliness really needs to be improved above all!

Hosts were super friendly and accommodated me right at the last minute in the chalet. Views are spectacular from the balcony and the place was clean and welcoming. I usually stay at one of the business hotels in the CBD but this place was close enough to get there and felt like a holiday instead. Thank you for a great stay, hope to you soon again and specially little G...
