Where to stay in Pasikuda
Pasikuda hotels & accommodations

I was pleasantly surprised at how good Anilana Pasikudah was. I had a very unfortunate stay at "THE CALM" hotel up the beach a bit and chose to check out of there early and I went to stay at Anilana instead. I was able to get early check in at 12pm which was much appreciated, welcome drink and cold towel. We stayed in a Beach Chalet (No 19) and it was perfect in eve...

We stayed at the Calm Resort for 4 nights as part of a 3 week trip around Sri Lanka and chose this hotel as a place to relax from our other more active and adventurous places visited. The hotel is very nice and clean and right on the beach. We were upgraded to a garden villa room which I would recommend over the deluxe rooms due to the proximity to the pool and the re...

We were staying at Uga Bay for the final week of our two week stay in Sri Lanka. We spent the first week travelling around the island and then fancied relaxing for the final 8 nights and doing some scuba diving. When we arrived at Uga Bay there are huge doors that open up to let your car in. They make for a very special arrival because that’s the other side of those d...

Sunrise by Jetwing is nothing short of tranquil and mesmerizing. It can also boast of one of the largest Infinity Pool in Sri Lanka. Being in my Honeymoon, we wanted peace, lesser crowd and an endless stretch of white sandy beaches at offering. We surely were not disappointed for our stay of three days. The food we tried there is clearly one the best in whole of Sri ...

Stayed in low season so little bit cheaper but was absolutely amazing especially after 2 weeks of staying in guesthouses. Got the beach front villa, was an absolutely huge room with two extremely comfy doubles beds, fridge, tea and coffee, large balcony overlooking pool and beach. The largest bathroom I’ve ever seen with a nice bath, shower toiletries and towels. E...

Really lovely guesthouse near the beach. Friendly people who run it, good breakfast. The secret garden is a nice touch and great for breakfast. Room was clean and good (cold) shower. The only issue for us was the wood had warped in the door frames so the doors didn't close fully and let in mosquitoes. Despite everything (lights, nets, plug in) we were bitten (it's humi...

I stopped here, arriving very late in the evening. I found the hotel on agora at a 50% discount. The hotel is wonderful with the room facilities second to none. Breakfast was exceptional. That's when I found out I virtually had the place to myself. The service and attention was therefore exclusive! The beach is gorgeous with a lovely pool (if by reason of insanit...

We will definitely be back in this hotel again. Absolutely brilliant down to earth staff... Willing to help on any occasion. Excellent beach front location, no vendors, no beach boys and marvellously kept grounds and food was fantastic. Massive portions and well done to Chef, who has kept it going amidst all difficulties of getting the best stuff in comparison to Colom...

After traveling through Sri Lanka for four weeks we decided to spent our last days on a resort on the east coast. We wanted something luxurious, quiet and rather small. We found the perfect place with Giman Free. It's a new resort, it opened only a few month ago, with ten bungalows with each two or four rooms and with a private beach directly in front of the bungalows....

This place is in a great location right in the middle of two beaches; Pasikudah beach - busy, many locals, bars and hotels, no waves, and Kalkudah beach - beautiful, no people, with waves, one hotel. Both are cca 300m from the Inn. Right next to it is a grocery shop, on the other side "western style" restaurant & pub, next to it a drinks store, than atm machine and loc...

Easy access to two beaches, especially Kallkudah beach was extremely good and only 5min walk. Very nice home made breakfast and dinner, hosts was very nice and helpful too. Room was basic but you have everything you need, nice terrace downstairs. Extremely good value

This is a lovely new resort complex on the East Coast of Sri Lanka. And I can understand its appeal for family groups. It has a great outdoor area which backs directly onto the beach. The pool is great also - and the Room we stayed in was fantastic! Great place to just relax and chill and have a respite from the under development in most parts of Sri Lanka. This was re...

Pasikuda is replete with 5 star luxury accommodation charging in excess of $200 a night. We looked at some of them and they are great. However we didn't have the money to spend so Nandawanam Guest House proved an excellent choice. We had a family room which was big enough for a family of 4 (kids 6 and 3 years old). The bathroom is need of a bit of work (tap loose and i...

We spent 4 nights in Nirma Shadow, rooms were ok, we don´t mind ants and frogs in the room, but we had to fight with mosqitos very hard. We asked for net, but it was small size and mosqitos always find the way in. The beach is wide and long, occupied by local fisherman only, it is cool. Hotel offers beach umbrellas and reed mat, it is great! Someone may find beach is...

Amazingly beautiful resort right next to the BEST beach I have ever been on. Gorgeous views, almost zero other people, warm waters and the smoothest sea floor I have ever walked on or swam in. The resort is perfect for unwinding and relaxing, but if you want to experience everyday Sri Lankan life this is not the best place to do that - the closest village is a few kilo...

Earl's beach rest is ideally located very close to both Pasikudah and Kalkudah beach. It is a basic yet very clean and comfortable stay, total value for money. They provide good food too at a nominal pric...

The natural beauty of this hotels location is wonderful. We stayed for 5 days during our 7 week tour of Sri Lanka and couldn’t fault anything. Real reviews for hotels
Pasikuda is a lovely bay with shallow calm water. There would be around a dozen hotels of 4 to 5 star rating.
The town is small has a few shops with the usual fare, I bought some thongs and soft drink and snacks, if you want to stock up on supplies before going to the resort this is your last chance, there's no shops near the resorts, there didn't seem to be a supermarket, but plenty of small shops selling everything, there's not much to see here, just head for the beach and chill out
Be ready to travel a long period if you are going on coach from Colombo as some roads are still developing.
A small city in the eastern board of Sri-Lanka boasting a string of exclusive hotels with Spa, with the best beaches of Sri-Lanka.
There is not such thing as a passekudah town but there are 2 small towns accosting the beach area which is called passekudah beach.
The large hotels such as Uga and Centara have excellent facilities but outside the hotels there is very little to see, only a few small shops and guest houses.
Passikudah is a very lay back village. Still untouch and nothing to look for as a tourist. One may expect seafood restaurants but those have not come yet.
