"Went to Palawan for an online appointment with DFA for my sons passport renewal. It was our first time to visit Palawan as well, so decided to go sight seeing at Puerto Princesa after our appointment. We chose HUE hotel since it located right beside Robinsons Mall which is where DFA office is located. It is very convenient , you only need to walk to get to the mall. Quite impressed with the staff , everyone was very friendly and courteous. Special mention to Fortun our shuttle bus driver who met us at the airport. Fortun is friendly and bery informative when we asked for information. Staff at the restaurant ate also very nice and attentive . They had initiative and they remembered what our apecial request were the first day so we didn'nt have to ask for it. They automatically served my son with his glass of ice and set the salt and pepper for myself at our table. They kept on checking if there is anything else we needed. Special thanks to Cha, Chubbs and Charm. The breakfast serve was quite good , they had different choices everyday for the 4 days that we stayed with them. Hotel is 15 mins by tricycle to recommended local restaurants such as Kalui and Kinabutch. Overall we had a very pleasant stay, bed was comfortable and room was clean. I would definitely cme back to stay with HUE:) "

"Booked this hotel for our downtime in Coron, our last day. Our flight was supposed to be in the morning, however, we were forced to re-schedule it in the afternoon because we can't leave this hotel. Haha! One of the best concept hotels in the Philippines, from the location to the view up to its facilities, it's all worth the money. It's not even that pricey compared to other "popular" hotels around the area. We will definitely book this again if ever we go back to Coron. Kudos to all the staff, very accommodating!"

"This place was great. The staff are friendly and understand English well. They will pick you you and drop you off from the airport for free (only about 5 minutes drive). There is a restaurant on-site which serves good food. There is also an outdoor pool and hot tub. Be warned: most of the hotels in Palawan advertise WiFi, and they do have it, but it is not consistent. It regularly disconnects and/or operates very slowly. Do not expect to use WiFi regularly on your trip. This resort is within walking distance of much of Puerto's hotels, restaurants, and bars near the airport. You may schedule island-hopping and Underground River tours with the resort, tricycle drivers, or other agencies. The unit was fine. I had a Standard room, which has a bed, a side table, a desk, a mini-fridge (with refreshments for an additional charge), a TV, a wardrobe, a bathroom with running water, and a heated shower. It was clean and fine for a solo traveler or couple. "

"I noticed in all reviews that Astoria Palawan’s customer service excellence has always been commended. I can attest to that because I experienced that when I, my parents, my husband and two children and my brother booked 2 nights in this awesome resort. The de luxe room was like a home away from home and has adjoining rooms painted in bright colors. The waterpark was breath taking and the food was great. Their nurse was super helpful when one if us had stomach upset. What’s best about this resort are the staff’s welcoming greetings and bright smiles and yes, Mr John John’s smile too. The welcome refreshments were yummy. Even if it’s s bit far from the city, its totally worth it. I arranged for underground tour and we were happy with it, as we did not wait long for our qeue. Even others who gave this resort a not so high review, they still put in a good word about Astoria Palawan customer services, it is so far if I may say do, the best."

"This hotel was the highlight of my entire trip. The staff went above and beyond to make sure that we had a pleasant stay. My husband got food poisoning on an island hopping tour and even though we had already checked out of the hotel (we were just there to collect our luggage after the tour and catch a cab to the airport), they gave him an air conditioned room to lay down in. They then organised an air conditioned van (free of charge) to drive us to the airport, and offered me a drink and a swim while I was waiting in the foyer. During our three day stay, the staff made us feel like family. Always asking how we were and offering to help in any way. The pool was right at the front of the hotel which made swimming SO EASY and fun. The pool lit up at night with LED's and swimming in the pool and drinking cocktails were some of our best memories.... And the cocktails were DEVINE! The food was delicious (especially the rice and fish) and the rooms were large, comfortable and air conditioned. We are already planning our next trip to Palawan, Philippines and we would never stay anywhere else."

"From our arrival to departure, our stay was absolutely wonderful! Every single staff we encountered were courteous, friendly, attentive, responsive, helpful and accommodating. The resort is clean, well maintained, quiet. We enjoyed our pool time with happy hour; the air-conditioned playroom equipped with ping-pong table, board games, crafts, etc. the kids spent hours in there. In-house Amigan Restaurant was very nice. Their menu is adequate for a 2-3 days stay. I couldn't say enough about the amazing staff. You can stay in any beautiful resort and spent lots of money. But Bacau Bay Resort is unique for being so new, the entire staff (including the GM, Chef) is the heart of this resort. If everybody continue to do strive to do and care more then this resort will make a top-rate mark in the industry in Palawan. When we left, we got a very warm send-off like a family member. We will definitely come back again!"
