"The ladies toilet is terrible . Think before you book . Some rooms eg 202,203 and 211 use heater without exhaust meaning you have to keep the window open and those heaters turn off automatically every 30mins and it could be unbearable in -5 degree with the window opened ! the futon and blankets are dirty ! sadly I hv to use them because i’m very cold .there’s 3 dead insects in my room . The sink inside the ladies bather room is full of dust . "

"This hotel exceedes my expectation. We stayed here for 2 nights. The owner is one of the nicest people we've met in Japan. He picked us up from Hakuba Station and drove us to Hakuba 47 the next day. He even taught us how to ski since it was our first time. We rented all the skiing gear from him and got lift passes for half the price! It was worth it and it saved us a lot of money. The breakfast was sublime!!! It was the best breakfast we ever had in Japan <3 Each dish had different flavors and all the ingredients were fresh. It was so delicious. I cannot recommend this place enough. I promise you, you won't regret it. You will be treated like royalty. TIPS: 1. You may call the hotel to schedule a pick-up from the telephone booth at Hakuba Station. The owner will not pick you up if you arrive 6pm onwards. Dial 02 + the hotel's phone number. Do not include the country code. 2. Most restaurants around the area are only open during the Winter Season. The nearest 7-11 is a 20-minute walk away from the hotel. If you want to eat dinner, you must inform the owner one day in advance. Enjoy!!! "

"My fiance and I thoroughly enjoyed our 6 night stay at Sierra Resort, Hakuba as the staff were very attentive and friendly, and conversant in English. In particular, one of the Japanese ladies named Fumie was a great help to our stay as she ensured that our ski equipment was laid out for us each morning. In addition, the staff also helped remind us to make reservations at popular restaurants for dinners as well as provided a free shuttle to and from the resort. In the resort, the onsens were spacious and we enjoyed the free provision of tea, water or coffee milk at the waiting area outside the separate gender onsen rooms. The views at the waitinng area were nothing short of beautiful as well. In addition to their good service, the hotel also provides complimentary Japanese rice, soup, dessert and some pickled dishes throughout the day till 8pm for any one that feels hungry. Coffee, tea, hot wine and ice popsicles are also made available for free at a common living area with a fire place till 11pm. We will definitely be back again to this hotel, as our stay here made us fall in love with Hakuba, which is now our favourite over the much famed Niseko area in Hokkaido."

"It's basically a ski trip. A bit far from happo and echoland area but I was lucky enough to drive so not much problem. Hotel was clean and spacious enough. Onsen was good. Washing machine was there also so everything was great. One terrible complain was renting the ski or snowboard. They needed me to return the skis at 5pm and don't allow me to return it on the next morning. So how do they expect me to ski somewhere else besides Cortina? Not to mention I can't do the night ski also? Terrible ski rental at Green Plaza hotel...."
