Changwon-si hotels & places to stay

This is the second time I have stayed at The City 7 Hotel, Changwon, staying from the 22nd to the 27th of October on this occasion. The hotel does not dissapoint, with clean, modern and spacious rooms. The staff are corteous, helpfull and always very well groomed. The City 7 is part of a complex consisting of the hotel and a shopping centre were you will find restaurants, bank, food hall and many fine clothing shops along with the Lotte Mart store. The hotel is also in a very good location with other shopping amenities close by. City 7 Changwon is a great hotel for families, business or for the traveller looking to indulge, I would highly recommend City 7 to any body.

Hotel had everything I’ve expected, location was not really far from the centre, surrounding atmosphere was peaceful enough compared with the centre part, I especially loved this part. Ofcourse the room was quite gorgeous with comfort and was perfect to relax after work. And one surprising thing that made my stay in here super special was, that I saw Dok2 the Korean iconic hiphop rapper, I was shocked and jumped with joy. I think maybe this hotel is famous or fancy enough that many celebrities come, visit and stay. Anyway, I wish I have additional plan to visit Changwon city and Hamilton too, Lots thanks to the staffs to. Wish u all the best and thanks

If you want to be in the heart of the city of Changwon then this hotel isn't really going to do it for you (it's about a $6USD taxi ride into the more livlier areas). However you cannot beat the location if you need to catch an intercity bus. The hotel is situated literally behind the terminal, with a convenice store underneath. Upon entering the hotel, you are delighted by the spacious, modern and bright atmosphere. The reception staff are very courteous. However the room itself is dark, small and dated. There was one big armchair and table stuffed in the corner; too big for a double room of its size. The refridgerator door is glass and emits a glaring blue light; put a towel over it at night so you can sleep. Not much to be desired however we were only staying one night and chose the location due to proximity to the bus terminal. There are many hotels close to the bus terminal which are almost half the price so if you don't mind being slightly further away have a look.

The location of the hotel is in a sleazy location. Near the hotel, there are a lot of 노래방 (KTV room) which provides special services. The location is not safe for female travellers especially at night as there are drunkards who would grab you along. The hotel also charges for the KTV room usage on per night basis. We were also quite disappointed when we were asked to pay KRW20,000 for an early check in at 2pm. The check-in time for the hotel is at night (which is also really odd). To add on, the toilet walls are also translucent. Despite the poor location, the hotel do provide great amenities such as a wide tv and desktop in their room. I would suggest for the staffs to check the computer before the next guest check-in as there were adults films that is not suitable for family and children on the desktop of the computer. The reception area do provides unlimited drinks, coffee and bread. The staff also helped us to order pizza in. They also have an adorable dog!

From ownership all the way down to the cleaning staff, this hotel was top notch. Room, provided with internet was very clean and very comfortable. I felt very welcomed as I checked in (the staff spoke english very well). If I were to go back to Changwon, I will stay at the hotel on any account. The breakfast was so good. A full breakfast in the lounge area all complimentary. Location is relatively good. Located in the centre of the city. Taxi to any part of Changwon will cost you less than 5,000 won. I was looking for a hotel thats within my budget and I was happy that it exceeded my expectation. The room is very spacious. The amenities is almost complete..The toilet is also big but mind you let the exhaust fan on whole day or else there you can smell a foul odor in the cr. I highly recommend this hotel if you want to travel in Changwon or visit Jinhae Festival since the hotel in Jinhae is difficult to book online. They have a simple breakfast. They offer unlimited water and coffee in the lobby area. Good Value Hotel.

The staff doesn't speak a perfect English, but enough to what we have to do and they are really kind, so perfect! My room was clean. Everyday it's cleaned. Water, coffee, tea and apple juice are provided everyday. Awesome! Maybe the only 2 bad points are they aren't windows in my room, and the mirror isn't in the toilet or in the bathroom so it's not convenient. But I'd definitely recommend this hotel for everybody who wants to stay in this part of Changwon.

Basic hotel for a Korean hotel. Offers all the amenities guests would expect. Room size was okay, and internet connection was good. I was there in the winter, so the heat was very high, so it was difficult to sleep. They use a central heating system that heats the floor, so you can't control the temperature other than opening the window. It was a little hard to find since the only sign is on a side street on the 4th floor. This hotel would be good for 2-3 nights, but I wouldn't stay much longer. Front desk staff were helpful and friendly.

This is a newer hotel, not one of the international tourist/business standbys yet, but definitely in that class, and it will be a bargain until they raise their rates. The best thing is the location, just steps away from the harbor with its great seafood restaurants. The view was nice too, even though we were on the "inside," looking towards the mountains, rather than the harbor. Our Masan friends told us that the (Korean) Chinese restaurant on premises is highly rated, but we did not eat there ourselves. all good, no complaints.

This is probably a love motel but it is not quite stated in the description. When we arrived in the afternoon, there was no one at the reception. All the doors to the rooms (both 7th and 8th floors) were wide open. We called the hotel but the staff can't speak English. Had to call the Korean Tourist helpline for help with translation in the end. After the staff at the helpline helped us to contact the hotel, we went up to the rooms again. This time, at the reception, a man wind up the shutters. He can't speak English but gave us the keys to our two rooms. The interesting thing is, we were a group of 3 ladies and 1 gentleman, he mocked how we came in such a group. He is probably more used to couples checking in. Well, we minded our own business throughout the night and we got through. Left the keys at the counter in the morning. An ahjuma seemed to be trying to tell us there is breakfast provided, but we did not want to stay long. Not suitable for families with kids.

I really like this guest house very much because the living area and the kitchen is very spaces and also the whole house areas are very clean. We can make friends with other guests.. the feeling is so warm and we just like one family... It really made me feel like staying in my own sweet home with my friends around me.... For sure I will come back again to stay in this guest house ! Thank you 형주! See you again in October 2015 ! Bless you !!

The hotel is in a great location but very hard to find (it is to the left of the much nicer looking Hotel Avenue, through and unpromising opening labelled Hotel 5F, up a lift to the 5th floor. There are no English markings at all saying Hotel Amour before this point.) Once we found it, we were really pleased with the room that was a good size and had a fantastic view of the lake and park behind the hotel. The room wasn't 100% modern or new looking but was clean and comfortable with interesting murials on the wall. Changwon is beautiful and the hotel is in the middle of things ideal for walking around the parks and shopping areas. Would consider this hotel again next time.

The hotel was wonderful. The suit had a large jacuzzi tub, big shower. Not much privacy with everything being glass but the place was really nice. The 2 women that we worked with were amazing. Even with the language barrier, they immediately pulled up google translate and were willing to help. They called us taxis, helped us order pizza, brought us extra bedding. They were really great and then breakfast was a delicious homemade kimbap. Great place, I just wish the location was better. It was definitely in the middle of nowhere near a construction area, but if you have a car with you, it’s a good location outside the city away from everything if you don’t mind driving to get where you need to go.
