Athens hotels & accommodations

I stayed in an economy double room. The room was somewhat small, and the shower was quite compact, but considering the convenient location with good security and breakfast included, the cost performance is very good. I had previously stayed in an executive double room (without breakfast) at the same hotel, and this one was cheaper, so if you're not particular about th...

It is a high-end hotel, but the quality of service definitely exceeds expectations. Unusually for Europe, it has a bathtub that allows you to stretch out, and the toilet and bath are separate. They also offer a wide range of take-home slippers and various amenities, so there was nothing to worry about during my stay. Its proximity to the airport provides great convenie...

The property boasts a fantastic location, impeccable cleanliness, and a top-notch staff. the amenities are excellent, especially the delicious breakfast. the only downside was the room size, which might be a bit tight for some guests. overall, a wonderful stay with stunning views and a peaceful sleep experience.

Seasoned travellers and we could not find one thing to even contemplate a bad comment. Beautiful hotel spotlessly clean, bright and spacious comin areas and delightf rooms. Food was lovely especially the extensive buffet breakfast. Fabulous staff who were always so helpful bright and cheerful. Definitely 10 stars ftom us

I chose the hotel because of the proximity to Larissis railway station and the Metro system. Totally surprised by how well designed and modern the hotel is. Located only 4 subway stops from the Acropolis. Staff were helpful in every way, even printing out the airport train schedule for me! My stay in Athens was relaxing and welcoming, thanks to this great hotel.

At first, I was suspicious because the lobby and entrance were very narrow and crowded, but the condition of the junior suite and the view of the Acropolis were truly fantastic. This was our last accommodation for our honeymoon, and we were extremely satisfied. There was a pharmacy right in front, and the square and Acropolis were close enough to walk to. When I initia...

I was very worried because of the bedbug reviews, but the front desk lent me an iron for free, so I carefully ironed the bed and it was fine, haha. The air conditioning was great! However, the elevator was old, so I had to wait a bit, which was inconvenient. The staff were very friendly! I had a nice stay :)

It was helpful that it was close to the station. Although my check-in was very late, they welcomed me kindly. The jacuzzi bath was a unique experience. Since I only stayed for one night, I couldn't fully enjoy it, and I feel a sense of regret, but it was a very good hotel♪

Good for short trips. Small sized rooms. Like European hotels the room amenities are rather basic. The stand out feature is that Superior rooms come with Nespresso coffee maker which gives out great coffee... Great location, near an university campus.. so, decent options for food & drinks are available outside the hotel. Metro stn is a short walking distance away. Fr...

Other than the lack of a bathroom door, it was excellent. The breakfast was delicious. Also, my friend needed to see a doctor, and when I asked the front desk staff, they called a doctor for us. The location is not particularly good, but it’s a good value for the price.

I arrived early in the morning and went to drop off my luggage, but they checked me in at 11 o'clock. The location is great 👍, and it was within walking distance to famous places. If it was hot or I was tired, I could rest at the hotel and then go out again, which was convenient. Although the hotel sign looked old, I figured the room would be old too, but it was clean...

Within walking distance to the Acropolis, the view from the breakfast venue is excellent! The view towards Mount Lycabettus is also open, making it very worthwhile. The convenience of transportation, facilities, and cleanliness are all satisfactory, ensuring a pleasant experience.

The location of the accommodation is very good for city sightseeing as well as for going to the airport. As mentioned in other reviews, noise from the adjacent rooms can be heard, so sensitive individuals may find it uncomfortable. Since it's an old city hotel, I took this into consideration. The room did not have a terrace, so while I could see the Acropolis from the ...

We arrived in the morning with children, and they guided us to our room right away. The bathroom and the room were clean, and they came for cleaning every day, also replacing the water. There were many options for breakfast, and we were very full. However, the surroundings of the hotel (maybe all of Athens) weren't very clean, and it felt a bit scary, so we didn't wand...

We have stayed here for 3 days and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is perfectly located close to the city center, exceptionally clean, and offers a delicious breakfast with a great variety of choices. A fantastic touch is that complimentary water, tea, and coffee are provided throughout the entire stay. The rooftop terrace offers a breathtaking view of the Acrop...

The cost-performance ratio is much higher than the hotel across from the airport. There is a free shuttle to the airport, but remember to make a reservation at the front desk the night before. The shuttle is a small 10-seater van, so it can be a bit crowded with many people. The hotel is quite old, and the infrastructure is outdated, but the breakfast is pretty good wi...

Even though it's the weekend, the price is under 10,000 yen, so it's quite spacious. The shower is small, but it's acceptable. It's a 5-minute walk from Syntagma Station, and since it's connected by a paved road, it's safe for suitcases. The breakfast is the same every day, but the chocolate bread, croissants, and juice are delicious and satisfying.
Cheap places to stay in Athens

Advantages: Affordable price, located in the city center, good service from staff, except for some chubby guys who don't speak clearly. Old elevator. Every day, you can hear people coughing up phlegm. There is a shared bathroom next to our room, which is very noisy.

The lighting and decorations, although a bit old, are artistic. It's not far from the station, and the safety in the area is good (facing a main street). The bed, air conditioning, shower, and amenities are all well-equipped, and at this price range, it's reasonable. Even for someone like me who struggles with English, I was able to have a comfortable stay. I managed t...

Food was lovely especially the extensive buffet breakfast. Fabulous staff who were always so helpful bright and cheerful. Definitely 10 stars ftom us

I was assigned to room 404, which has a balcony. From the balcony, you can see the Acropolis well, and I spent a great time there every evening. The breakfast was quite varied and enjoyable, and the location is truly the best. There is no noise at night, but it would be even better to sleep with earplugs. I stayed here for nearly a week, and it's nice. The staff at the...

The subway and bus are a bit far away, so you have to walk for about 10 minutes. There's a grocery store nearby, which is convenient for buying necessities. Personally, I liked the breakfast^^ The water pressure in the bathroom was good, and it was clean and nice.

The desk staff were very friendly. The location is great as it is situated in the center. Athens is not very large, making it easy to get around. Although it is an old hotel, it seemed to be well-maintained. The bed was nice, and the sheets were clean. The breakfast was truly the best. It was very clean and well taken care of. After meals, they immediately changed the ...

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms facing the street with a view to the Acropolis are nicer. Breakfast spread very good. It’s close to Omonia Metro and 2kms from the Acropolis. Also within walking distance to a number of other attractions . Close to some really nice restaurants. Rozalia is a short walk away but there are several others. On a Friday evening the n...

Stayed for 2 nights. Efficient quick check in, friendly helpful bilingual staff. This well kept Hotel is in a quiet side street in an otherwise busy area within walking distance of 2 metro stations. Easy to get to the "touristy" side of Athens. Our room was well layed out and of good size with a big flatscreen tv and very comfortable mattress and bedlinens. Separ...

The accommodation is clean and the staff are very friendly! Despite having heavy luggage, they helped me, and I was so satisfied that five stars isn't enough. I took a walk at night, and it was bright and lively like Myeongdong Street, making me feel even safer! And make sure to have breakfast!! It's incredibly delicious and served as prepared dishes, not just a buffet...

Great value hotel in A fantastic part of Athens right behind the new renovated Conrad Hilton Ilisian Hotel. The Delice hotel is dated but very clean and organized. My only critique is the bathrooms are in need of an update and better water pressure for the shower. Other than that. Great value.

Our trip to Athens was our first time there. Since the language didn’t match, we used a translation app. A few days before our stay, we applied for a pick-up service and they checked the time of our arrival flight ticket to call a taxi according to the number of people. I was very grateful that they calmly assisted us during check-in despite the language barrier. The h...

The location is incredibly convenient, right near Syntagma Square, and it's quite an easy walk to both the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum. With security guards and police stationed at the hotel entrance, safety in the neighborhood seems to have improved. The breakfast is abundant and comes with a view of the Acropolis. Overall, it’s a very stylish, design-oriented ...

The property impressed with its spotless cleanliness, friendly staff, and well-maintained facilities that included reliable Wi-Fi and comfortable sleeping arrangements. We had the pleasure of staying in crowne plaza hotel for the fourth time and each one is exceptional. The staffs are very helpful and friendly, comfortable and clean room and a perfect location too. I will always recommend crowne plaza for friends.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! Everything exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was rich and of excellent quality, with plenty of delicious options. The pool area is absolutely beautiful and perfect for relaxing. Our room was very comfortable and had such a calming atmosphere. We also really enjoyed the spa, which was very clean, well maintained, and thought...

Beware of pick pockets especially when travelling in metro. best to take a cab from or to the airport.
Very rich in history and culture. The National Archaeological Museum and Benaki Museum are not to be missed! We certainly enjoyed the sightseeing at Akropolis and Roman Agora.
Athens city really nothing much, 1 or 2 nights is enough. Recommended to go islands hopping, more fun
Economic turmoil makes Greek people even more welcoming and accommodating to visitors. Go and visit now
Not a very nice one, we met pick pocket group of people in the MRT, they tried to help us with our luggage, but after that they tried to open our bag or jacket.
everything are good i Athens peoples are nice and friendly historical structure and building are really nice and fine
Greeks are the most hospitable people I know which makes traveling to this side of the world even more interesting, and people of Athens are just that.
An very old city, with the mixture of modern buildings. People are quite friendly. Moreover, it is the cheapest country to travel in Europe.
Beside visiting nthe historical sites, you can travel to the coastal areas of Piraes and soak in sun.
Like any big city Athens is busy. Great transportation systems - cheap cabs, metro, bus, underground.
A good travel country to find foods, transport and the city is known worldwide for its culture and historical heritage.
That is a comfortable stay. There are good restaurants with delicious typical greek food. The facility for transportation for city tour and touristic points, like acropolis, national archeological museum and many others is also very easy.
Athens is a beautiful and vibrant city which feels rather safe to be in. Many restaurants and dining options are available, and the Greek food is delicious.
This is our 6th visit to this wonderful city. Each time we return we are more enchanted by how it grows and develops.
My second visit to Athens was a very pleasant surprise. I really enjoyed the 4 nights I spent here this second time around much more than I thought I would.
Athens is a dirty city but on the other hand rich in culture and history like no other and of course the entertainment the food what else can one say you just have to come and experience it
I felt in love with greek food. The food in this place is amazing. I like the old historical buildings as well but the main attractions gets too pack to i am not sure if everyone prefer crowded place.
The part of Athens I visited was so far the most interesting place I ever saw. My time there was to short to see only a little more then the historic sides but I the suburbs around are very touristic.
many places can go to shopping in Athens and easy access by the metro, but the travellers have to beware about the thief
Athens is a city steeped in history with lots to see and explore. I got the Sight seeing open top bus to get my bearings and then, due to the city half marathon, explored on foot the next day.
Definitely a place to visit to see all the historical heritage. However, one day is enough for that. Otherwise quite noisy and busy place.
Besides stay in Athens, I went to an island call Folengandros, which was the highlight of my stay. The food on the island was great.
The only good restaurant we have been to was "Mani Mani", excellent food and service. Some of the opened area restaurant didn't cook the food on site, and we waited for 20 minutes for cold kebabs we saw the waitress brought in from somewhere else.
I think 3 Nights would be enough for Athens. I loved our stay there and the history as well as the culture is amazing.
Our first impression of Athenians is that they are not friendly. We understood from the taxi driver that Greece had gone through 5 years of recession and has an unemployment rate of 20% as at 2013.
Athens is beautiful but the government needs to control the non-stop demonstration that keep on happening in the country.
Aside from the Plaka area near the Acropolis, which is quite touristy, I found Athens to be fascinating and interesting to visit.
Cultural history of the country Mythology first ancestor and Olympics birthplace Saint Seiya fans dream tourist places!
As I am a total history buff, i loved Athens. And I suggest everyone who likes History, Archeology & even shopping to definitely visit Athens.
A superb historical city, many great monuments, the Acropolis,Monastiraki (old city), the Acropolis Museum (one of the best in the world), etc.
