Where to stay in City Center
City Center hotels & accommodations

Conveniently located if one wants to stay in the city center. I stayed for one night in late May,2018. The hotel is a short walking distance from the night bazar. It is up to date, clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff is friendly, courteous and helpful. I parked my car on site. The swimming pool is nice.

I'm here for a business trip so I don't have much time to stay at the hotel. The room is noce and big. The location is convient to go to any place in city center. Service is good also the breakfast . I also got very good rate from agoda. Next time I have no doubt to stay here again. Tips : Chiang Rai is in Northern part of Thailand so the best time to be here is in win...

The hotel is brand new (so new the pool and many meeting rooms are still under construction) with exclusively modern facilities. It's located 10 minutes from central Chiang Rai, which is a ways in such a small city, and getting a tuk-tuk requires you to cross the freeway to the City Center. The hotel restaurant was clean and priced well, the rooms were a nice size and ...

Wiang Inn Hotel of Chiang Rai is located in the city center; about a 5 minute walk to the night bazaar and 7 minutes from the clock tower. This is an old hotel that has been renovated nicely! Breakfast has a nice fresh assortment of food for everyone's tastes.

The hotel was very pleasant to stay at. The pool, rencently built, is super nice, the staff is helpful and friendly, the bungalows and the outside areas are lovely. The hotel is not right in the city center but still quite close by taxi. I do recommend staying there if you are looking for a peaceful place not too far from the center!

Clean and functional Inn on a budget. Close enough to city center to walk. Show worked great. Bed was comfortable. TV only had Thai channels. Internet worked fast enough to watch YouTube in HD. Rooms were clean and staff was friendly and spoke English. Would stay here again.

the hotel is not the center of town. not a problem for us as we did not want to be in the center of town. we come to the big city to relax and restock. this place is perfect. the hotel is spacious with beautiful gardens and a large bathroom and bedroom. the hotel runs a free shuttle to the night bazaar each night which we love. great internet. being almost right...

Loved This Place. Set amongst spacious and beautifully maintained gardens , with lily ponds and huge old trees. My suite was large and comfortable with a lovely river view . The Legend feels like it is isolated and remote and yet is only 10 minutes from city center. The staff were super friendly and efficient . As a tourism professional the most impressive aspect was t...

I am very happy with the stay. The location is not too far from the city center, airport and the main road. The staff was very nice. The breakfast is great. The room is clean and quiet. It like you stay in your friends house. If you are looking for the small , quiet and clean hotel, this maybe your answer.

The hotel is situated in the good location of Chiangrai city, not far from city center and access to the major highway. The room is spacious and clean with excellent service from hotel staff. They also provided ample space of car park only a few steps from the room. It is best suited for the guest with own transportation even the hotel can assist by calling taxi and al...

Excellent location if you like to be in the city center but not too busy or noisy during night time so you can sleep well. There is a 7-11 store very close by the hotel. The room is very nice cozy and clean. There are plenty of common area in the hotel to relax (roof top terrace and fish pond with small garden by the lobby) The property also provides one car parking s...

Hotel is quite newly built, location is a bit far from city center by walking distance but the staff can assist by calling tuktuk (city transport). Bedroom is nice and very clean. Breakfast is very magnificent, they provide food which is newly cooked for each person and many varieties.

The hotel manager studied abroad and speaks fluent English. She's a very attentive person who would even go buy postcards on request or bring the ordered food from town when the delivery service refused to come under heavy rainfall! The hotel is located a bit outside the city center, perfect for those who search a quiet place. The rooms are quite spacious and clean wit...

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay, room is luxurious and big. Staff are super helpful and friendly. There are classes including Tai Chi and Yoga which we enjoyed. It's next to the river with jogging track. The pool is also fun and has a poolside bar with great cocktail (worked out to be 120bahts for happy hour). The cafe served beautiful cakes and has music in the evening. It...

We loved this welcoming place just outside of Chiang Rai center. Wonderful ambiance, friendly staff and the most comfortable beds in all of Thailand! You won't want to get up in the morning. Breakfast was not special, but we are hoping for improvement.

This was the best hotel we had during our 3 week trip to Thailand. It is a resort style hotel with 3 houses in a tastefully designed small garden with pool. The rooms are spacious, bright, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Breakfast was very good and plenty. The staff well trained, extremely polite and utterly helpful. The pool is clean and had a nice temperature eve...

Clean, modern, and good aesthetics, this is not on the main hostel street, and it seems a little nicer than the other hostels in this area. We used their bikes for free and bikes 5 minutes to the night market and city center and the breakfast was great!

The hôtel is brand new. It could be a 5 stars hôtel. Room are big, Claen with all facilities. Staff is friendly. Not too far from city center (15 min Walking). Very quite Area. Small restaurant in front of the hôtel. For perfection, the hôtel could rent/provide bikes for the guests ( maybe in the future? ;-))

Pros:- -the most comfortable bed ever, the mattress is very comfortable not too soft not too hard. the pillow is also very comfortable. -very clean -large room -mini fridge -hot water kettle -kitchenette sink area -bathroom is nice, large bathroom sink, shower is separated from toilet by curtain -hot water pressure is good, they provide soap bar -sofa area with t...

Cheap places to stay in City Center

well, this hostel near is the bus terminal in the city center, cleanliness and staff kindly. but the facilities only the air condtion and solo bathroom which always sink water to the room when you wash body. public toilet. a litter bit noise in the midnight from the motobike engine on the street and bar downstair rearside. free tea and coffee.

If you have a rolling suitcase dont come here, maybe try Disneyland instead. If you are a backpacker you have to come here. This staff are amazingly friendly and accommodating, they even fed me lunch a cupple days! This is a place where you will meet people from all over the world and share lots of storys. There is free coffee and tea. They have a bonfire everynight ar...

This is my first time staying in a dorm room in a hostel, and everything is surprisingly neat and clean, now i feel very encouraged to travel solo and stay in hostels instead of hotels, the cleanliness is the same, the sleep quality is the same, on top of that you get to meet people and the value is unbeatable, so why bother with a hotel room anymore? :D the owner is s...

This is a great hostel for anyone. The place is very new and modern and very comfortable. I ended up extending for 5 days because it was really nice being here and exploring thee relaxed Chiang Rai. I don’t usually take the time to leave reviews honestly but this is a special case. The hostel is a bit outside of the city center but it won’t be a problem if you have a scooter (you probably will need one anyway, you can rent one at the hostel). The lovely lady who is the owner of the hostel offered us a ride to the night market every night and even brought us to the...

Clean, modern, and good aesthetics, this is not on the main hostel street, and it seems a little nicer than the other hostels in this area. We used their bikes for free and bikes 5 minutes to the night market and city center and the breakfast was great!

The guest house is in convenient walking distance from Bus Terminal 1 (I arrived there with the local Bus from Chiang Khong, and there is also a good shuttle bus to the airport) and from the center with walking street... I enjoyed to sit on my terrace facing the garden. People there are really nice and helpful and I found it great they provided free drinking water to r...

For a relatively new hostel it surprisingly overlooks a bit.. Pros: Free soap and towel and water when you checkin. Good aircon Comfy beds Quieter than other hostels in the area but still excellent location Cons: Your bar of soap they give you is cos there's no soap in the toilets (seems like an oversight) Room smells of fresh/musty concrete til the aircon is on. Lig...

This guesthouse was clean, funny to have the private shower without roof. Close to the city center, don't confuse with the Baan Bua guesthouse which is on the map in the lonely planet even if very close. Staff was very helpful to organise visits and transports

The homestay hotel is 10 min (300m) from ChiangRai old terminal which makes it a convenient place to stay upon reaching ChingRai. Walking to night market and also nearby attraction is easily accessible. Room condition is OK for the price paid with air-conditioned. Hotel is located at a street behind the shoprow (7-11, Tesco Lotus).

Helpful and friendly staff, new, large (private double), clean rooms with fridge, water, kettle with coffee/tea, toiletries, English movie channel on TV (sometimes you just wanna stay in on a rainy day) & close enough to city center to walk around. We stayed 2 night here. The location is great, center in the city. The Stuff also very helpful. Breakfast also okay and they provide free salad and dink. Even we rent a balcony room with our space but the hotel rule not allow us to bring any food or drinks to the room so I feel link we can’t use our space as we want. The hotel face to western so it was hot on afternoon...

The guesthouse is very well located in Chiang Rai, close to the night market and bus station and not far from city center. Everything in the city is in walking distance. You can rent a motorbike directly from the hostel to go to the less central sites (white temple, blue temple, black house, waterfall) which is very convenient (it s quite easy to drive in Chiang Rai). ...

All the reviews are true. Da da is an exceptional host who tries her best to make you feel welcome in her home. She offers many services for our stay she offered to give us a tour of Chiang Rai (1200thb/total), dinner (100thb/person), breakfast (70thb/person), bike rental (200thb/person) and laundry (25thb/kg). Like other reviews have said Da da does tend to push the s...

Quiet location, 20 minutes walking from city center, or 5 minutes by bike. Very friendly woman at reception with perfect english knowledge. Rooms clear and large, aircon useless in this place, so take fan room. WiFi works normally, but in evening sometimes lags (when everyone at home watching videos) :) i recommend this place for short time (up to one week) for month b...

Excellent place... we were very nicely surprised and completely satisfied. There are two separate yards surrounded with cottages (yes...there are cottages almost in the city center :). We stayed at the first block, cottage 104... The cottage was spotless - small table with sitting outside, TV, AC, bathroom with hot shower attached, towels & toiletries provided, smal...

The Thai couple that own and run Mech Mansion are so nice and accomodating, making you feel like you're at home. They are so nice to talk to and recommend great places to go see. They definitely try their best to make sure that nothing is missing. The rooms are nice and big, almost too big. All the rooms have a balcony or in our case a porch since we were on the firs...

In my 3 weeks of traveling in SEA this was my worst accomadations. The bed was so hard i felt like i was sleeping on a box spring. there were ants all over the room. The windows open to the center courtyard where everyone eats breakfast so it is very loud. No top sheet so your body is touching the top comforter. Breakfast is buffet style with a few options. staff tries...

A lovely place located at the heart of Chiangrai city, good location, walking distance to Sunday night market, very warm welcome, and good travel suggestions from the owner. Highly recommended for the foreign tourist as the owner can speak English fluently, and she is very friendly.

The room was really nice, especially for the price. We had a t.v and a toilet and shower and a fan. The staff was really friendly. The location was ok, a bit hard to find for the tuk tuk drivers but only a 10 min walk from the city center and bus station.

This hotel is perfect for your stay in Chiang Rai. Location in city center, the price very cheap, the room is big and clean, the hotel is so quiet which is i like it, and the best part is the bed sooo big. I love it.. You can rent a motorbike at this hotel. If i go to Chiang Rai again, i definitely would stay again at this hotel.

The place is wonderful if you are looking for something away from the city noise, but close enough to be engaged in the night life. Located on the edge of the country side it has a warm homey feel to it. The staff is helpful and there is a small restaurant a few meters away. I would definitely consider one of the best places in chiang rai. So far I have stayed in four...

Kham Thana was a very nice stay. We spent a 3-day weekend in Chiang Rai and thought this quiet hotel away from the city center was perfect. The rooms are large and each have a balcony overlooking the pool/garden area. This hotel was truly, a nice relaxing spot. Now, we weren't bothered by this by the hotel sponsors a tour group, so every night a large group of individu...

Way WAY out of town. Not worth the money. Not inviting. Room smelled moldy, had no WiFi (although it is advertised as available in rooms) and the sliding door couldn't lock (could move the whole complete door to one side . . .it didn't fit into its original frame). Although satellite TV (none in English or even English subtitles . . . .you have your own decoder, but...

Small hotel but impressed me with many little things - Cute & friendly staff - Free fruit/snack and water at lobby - Minibar included (soft drinks and nuts) and added everyday of your stay - Nice breakfast (Especially Nutella for bread and dried fruit with cereal) - Cute souvenior for guests (small elephant doll) - may be just for new year - Located in the city center,...
