Where to stay in Birmingham City Center
Birmingham City Center hotels & accommodations
Three of us booked three separate rooms and the price was great for Birmingham city centre. Staff were polite and courteous and the rooms were spotless with everything you need. Definitely recommend a stay!
Easy hotel to find. Friendly staff. Clean room (including towels, toiletries). Although designed to be compact, there is still ample room for 1-2 people. Large comfy bed. Free Wi-Fi worked great. Subsidised parking is a fantastic added bonus - saving almost £10. Very pleased with my stay at the Bloc Hotel in Birmingham and will stay there again when I am next there.
There were some noisy young guests but the level of disturbance during the night was tolerable as the room was cheap, clean, and comfortable with a nice new shower room, a good view from the window, and everything worked. The location was quiet but still close to Birmingham City Centre.
This was my 2nd or 3rd stay at the Britannia. I was fortunate to get a deal on the price through Agoda which made it extremely good value. It was an incredibly hot day and sadly a lady on a higher floor was very vocal throughout the afternoon and night. I pity those who were in the rooms above, below and adjacent to her. We had 3 single rooms ( mother, myself, my son),...
The hotel is situated strategically in the heart if Birmingham city with close proximity to the council house and public library. There is a street with many restaurants and shops nearby. The train station is within 6-8minutes walking tine and provides easy access to city peripheral. The property is clean with sheets crisps and whites that lives up to its 5-star ma...
Very comfortable bed, good shower with plenty of hot water. Kitchen facilities had everything you need, including dishwasher. Parking can be a slight issue as there are limited street parking spaces. Although there is the opportunity to purchase a space at a cost of £10 pn All in all I thought the apartment was excellent value for money and I would definitely stay the...
Close to Aston university and the Bullring City Center, clean and modern hotel and the staff are excellent they are friendly and so helpful, the room is great and facing the Bullring City Center it is equipped with every thing that a single need. The Cafe and the Restourant is located in the first floor. The rate is reasonable, especially there was a BIG events this we...
This is a great place to stay if you want to see the Jewellery Quarter and other places in central Birmingham. The apartment we had was very nice and a (small) Coop store was close by for food and other basics. StayCity is about 15 minutes walk from the main railway station and 5-10 minutes walk from the Jewellery Quarter.
I was with my family ( all girls and a young child ) checking out from hotel heading to London. We have a few big luggages and shopping begs to carry and we were on our way to the nearest train station. The front desk staff saw us in this situation and in his first intention he showed us short cut by leading us to the back door. This little action has saved us a lot of...
This was my 2nd time stay and would return again if I were in Birmingham city. Closed to Bullring n walking distance to the Bullring market n Selridges. Full kitchen, great shower n bed. If u're driving u can park at Digbeth public parking for £5 for 24hrs. 2tix side by side. Just 5 min walking.
I've stayed at SACO Birmingham - Brindleyplace apartments several times now. Each time the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. The rooms are splendidly spacious and furnished with all the amenities you may need. The location is good with many restaurants/bars around. There is also a nice canal area nearby. However it is at least a 10 minute walk to the cent...
If I come to Birmingham again, this hotel is going to be the first one I will check for free rooms. I went there after studying the city map a bit, and because the price was reduced (around 80 EUR per night). I had a room with a king size bed (absolutely comfortable) on the 7th floor. This leads to my perhaps only point of criticism, namely I wasn't able to lower the ...
Stayed there for only 1 night on a business trip. Perfect location in the city center for dinner and entertainment. Nice, large rooms which are in a well-tendet condition. Good breakfast. All in all a good choice for a reasonable price. Will stay again when in Birmingham the next time. Recomended as a good spot not oly for business travellers.
We used the hotel as a base from which to go for a meal, drinks and entertainment. The hotel was perfect for what we wanted - good value for money, clean, spacious and central location. The only downside about the location is the noise from outside in the early hours but this was to be expected and doesn't detract from the fact that if we were looking for a place to ...
what a find, this hotel is managed incredibly well, all the staff have a view "can do" attitude. based in the heart of birmingham city in the chinese district, all the shopping you can handle at the bull ring, i left my wife to shop while i attended business at the nec she was overwhelmed with the quality of shops and markets. dinner was a breeze, every style of ...
This hotel has good-sized rooms which are immaculate and very well equipped (room safe, hair dryer, ironing board and iron, tea and coffee making facilities, etc). The staff were excellent. check in and check out were very fast, and the staff were knowledgable about the area when we wanted advice. Location is excellent - a short walk from Bull Ring shopping, the coach ...
Our second stay at MacDonald UK is impressive and very enjoyable. This is my first stay at MacDonald Burlington Birmingham, Great Hotel! Unique! Overall service is very pleasant, English breakfast is excellent. This hotel is very suitable to traveller not only business and also for pleasure. It is only 10 minutes walk from new street rail station. It is also is easy to...
Comfortable bed , clean hotel and friendly lovely staff. Hotel in the ecntral ; every thing you ned is near.
I had a very pleasant and comfortable stay in Birmingham Central Backpackers. Breakfast was healthy and appetising; a choice of fruit, jams and bread including tea or coffee. The staff were polite and sometimes talkative. The bunk beds in the large dormitory are quite old; the metal frame creaks often. Make sure you wear ear plugs! The kitchen, shower room and toilet f...
The Hotel still feels new and crisp, the rooms are excellent with clean, crisp linen, neat furnishings and a decent sized shower. The ONLY drawback of this compact hotel was that they don't do early book-ins, even after I mentioned that my flight would land 7:10am and that I would want to book in at 7:45am, they merely mentioned that they could only accommodate me at 1...
This was one of the best hotels I have stayed in, it was extremely clean, the bedrooms were generously sized and the bathrooms were immaculate. The room was cleaned each morning with fresh towels and bedding, and the breakfasts were fantastic. All in all a great city break, brilliantly positioned in the centre of Brindley Place, meaning the city centre was walkable. ...
I booked and paid in full for a one night stay to attend my Daughter's graduation. On my way to Birmingham I received a phone call to say that the hotel through a "technical issue" was overbooked and they were moving me to an alternative outside the centre. This was not acceptable and I asked them if there was nothing in the centre of Birmingham he said no. To cut a lo...
a modern designer hotel in birmingham city center, but a bit plastic. room was nice with walk-in shower with shampoo and shower-gel attached to the wall! comfortable chair to sit and watch tv,with a big bed. breakfast was self-service, and limited, with no evidence of staff, to ask for anything you didn't see. great internet service in reception area, were i was abl...
great, lovely boutique hotel in the centre of Birmingham
This is a good-priced hotel in the city centre of Birmingham.
clean, quite and comfortable hotel room, within 10min walk to city center, friendly staff
My two comments are We stayed two nights, breakfast was reasonable. Think it should include bacon and fried eggs but not scramble eggs everyday! Parking :£12 for 24 hours is a good deal, however if the parking ticket could allow unlimited in and out during such period would be perfect for hotel guests.
Big room, living room and kitchen. New Street Station is a little distance but not far. It is very close to Tesco, the beautiful Gas Street canal, and the restaurants. Especially Keg & Grill, the Indian restaurant right in front of the hotel is really good. It seems to be a place for people in the neighborhood rather than tourists.

Great location, Asian food just walking distance around the hotel. Tidy and clean room. New street station is close to hotel.
The location is in the middle of the city.

I wanted somewhere to stay within walking distance of the Conservative party conference. Most places were full and after a couple of hours searching found the comfort inn which checked all the boxes. We arrived at about 6.30 to check in, this was completed quickly. We were advised not to put out room card near our mobile, which we immediately forgot and then couldn't get in the lift. The receptionist sorted this straight away. The rooms are big, bright and clean and the bathroom was a good size with a big shower. The location isn't the best in birmingham and it's a...

Very good hotel with excellent location( but at first was difficult to find it). In the middle of city center! Very warm, quit, comfortable, with city view.. Use the kitchen in the room every day ( because we don't eat hot-dogs and hamburgers which we find in all bars) and the dishwasher was very useful! Supermarket with food is only any steps from hotel. Our second visit in as many months. Comfortable rooms, great location for city centre and canal walks. Incredibly helpful staff. Plus free chocolate bars on arrival. What's not to like?

We stayed for the bank holiday weekend. The apartment was very clean, they allowed us to have a late check out and we checked in early as well. It is in an excellent location right next door to the Mail Box. Next time we are in Brum we will defiantly be cooking again!
Located completely centrally, a short walking distance from buses, trains, shops and restaurants, Burne Jones House is hugely convenient to anyone who wishes to stay in Birmingham without the hassle of bringing or renting a car. Due to the proximity of bars and pubs, expect some outside noise at night, especially at weekends. However, despite this, I was pleasantly sur...
