Restaurant renovation
The decision to close the meeting rooms is part of Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok's plan to
re-develop the Mezzanine Floor into a specialist Restaurant for the hotel.
The re-development project of the Mezzanine floor will be carried out in several phases:
Phase 1: Dismantling process will be from 11 April to 30 April 2009. During this traditionally quiet Songkran holiday period (11-18 April 2009), the hotel expect some noise disturbance on the Mezzanine floor. From 19 April to 30 April, the dismantling process will continue with minimal noise disturbance. They have installed double-ply hoarding with insulation as a noise barrier around the perimeter of Mezzanine floor to significantly reduce the impact of the noise.
Phase 2: Construction process will be from 1 May to 15 October 2009, the construction of the restaurant will begin without any major structural work. The hotel expects minimal audible and visual disturbance to residential guests and local patrons.
Phase 3: Completion process will be from 15 October 2009 for approximately two weeks again with minimum audible and visual disturbances.
The hotel expects to unveil this exciting new restaurant by November 2009.
The hotel will appoint a professional and experienced general contractor to build the restaurant and they will be working on a daily basis between 9 am to 6 pm. No night time working will be allowed to ensure maximum comfort for the residential guests and local patrons.
The residence event venues will not be affected with this project and access to/from the residence through the main lobby elevators, car park elevator and Erawan Bangkok Mall will operate normally.
